I was looking for a fresh salad and decided to go with Chop n Fresh.I was greeted and immediately given good service. They offer a bar where you can pick your own toppings. They had a variety of options which made for a good salad. Cute atmosphere and it was nice outside so took advantage of the outdoor seating. I wish it was more locations here in Birmingham!

These folks are cranking out some of the best salads in the Metro. I had the Alabama bowl. It's was packed with tons of apples, sweet potatoes, chicken, kale, almonds. Like a party in your mouth. Service was excellent, as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile. Plenty of outdoor seating and this place is always immaculate. Looking for healthy options this summer, do your self a favor and check this place out.

The ingredients are so fresh! We really liked their filing salads and options on the menu. There is limited seating inside but they have tables outside as well. There is a lot of parking in the area as well.

Southwest salad and a custom salad of Kale, quinoa, feta, roasted corn, olives, and sweet potatoes with cucumber tahini yogurt dressing

I have been wanting to try this place for so long. I finally got the chance to yesterday with my friend Bernadette. I love Chopt, so I was intrigued to see if I would like this place better or not. It's located in Lane Parke so very convenient to me and for those that attend X4 or Ignite Cycle to get food after a workout. Bernadette ordered the Southwestern Bowl. I opted to do a create your own salad as it was cheaper at $9.50 a salad. I made my bowl with kale, quinoa, feta cheese, roasted corn, sweet potatoes, and olives. It was finished off with salt, pepper and cucumber tahini yogurt dressing. It was DELICIOUS! It was one of the best meatless salads I've ever had! I would order this combination over and over again. At $9.50, this is a pretty reasonable price for a salad. I have the Chop n Fresh app so I redeemed my $5 reward. My total after tax and tip was about $5.90. Yay! Now there were a few kinks to the visit. The staff was friendly and helpful towards me. My friend however forgot to scan her app to collect points. They said there was no way for her to earn points, but later on I checked her app and found a way she could contact support. Hopefully we can get her some credit towards her next reward. I'm not sure if this is the way, but I have been able to earn points at Chipotle and Taziki's when I contact support. They also unfortunately forgot to ask either of us if we wanted bread. I didn't realize this till later after we had left. I was looking forward to it! It looked like sour dough in the pictures which I am a sucker for! Overall I enjoyed the food I did have, it was just not the perfect experience.

A local fresh salad spot that I would be happy to stop in if I am in the area. Ingredients are fresh and the employees are friendly. The store is well lit with a fair amount of seating. Price is about as expected for the area. I personally like Chopt a touch more, but I do think that's because I am a frequent customer of Chopt and I am used to their menu and options. Objectively I would say they are comparable!

    Sweet Bowl Alabama

This place was DELICIOUS! Typically speaking I find kale and salad bowls to be vaguely satisfying but I really only eat them for a healthy meal. However, the Sweet Bowl Alabama was genuinely good! It had a lot of savory, salty elements with the kale, cheese, and chicken, with a nice hints of sweetness too with the vinaigrette and the sweet potatoes. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a light, healthy meal!

Falafel n love sub with spring greens

Decided to stop by Chopnfresh to give it a try on a Sunday afternoon. The workers are very friendly and helpful, giving their recommendations and letting me know the rundown of how the process works. I ordered the Falafel N Love salad, subbed the kale for spring greens and I added kalamata olives. We also got the Sweet Bowl Alabama. The falafel salad was like a green salad, with feta, tomatoes, cucumber, hummus, etc. it also had baked falafel crumbled throughout as the name suggests. The Sweet Bowl Alabama had kale, wild rice, sweet potatoes, apples, goat cheese, chicken, along with a few other ingredients. They mix the salad in a large bowl for you before serving so that each bite has a good ratio of toppings to lettuce. Over all it was very tasty, but also quite pricey. Our total came out to around $40 with the two salads, two cane sugar sodas, and a tip.

I'm not fully vegetarian or vegan, but I really appreciate having options that feel fresh and not heavy. Every time I go, everything just tastes clean. Nothing feels overly processed or greasy, and I don't leave with that "why did I eat that" feeling. What stands out to me is how easy it is to build something without meat and still feel satisfied. They have plenty of plant-based proteins, grains, and toppings that actually have flavor. It doesn't feel like you're just eating lettuce. I also like that you can customize everything exactly how you want it. I usually order the Farm Bowl (I think that's what it's called) with almonds, apples, sweet potatoes, goat cheese, and chicken. I always get the dressing on the side and swap the goat cheese for tomatoes. The mix of sweet potatoes and apples with the crunch from the almonds is so good. And honestly? It would be just as good without the chicken, which I love because it shows you don't need meat for it to feel filling. The vibe is simple and modern, and it's a good spot for a quick lunch. Service is always splendid! Overall, it's one of my favorite healthier options because I feel energized after eating there instead of sluggish. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for something fresh and lighter.

Soup changes daily and this day was chickpea and chorizo. Nothing life changing about it but it wasn't bad. We walked into a small, dark, crowded dive bar and ordered amongst several other people after waiting in line shoulder to shoulder with other customers. I say this not to complain (because with a crowd like this on a random weekday, they're obviously doing something right) but to take your kids in car seats (‍) with caution. Crowds in small spaces stress me out and it would have been even worse if we'd had the boys with us. I'd also highly suggest going on a day when you can sit outside. There's very minimal seating inside. They do have a lovely, spacious patio that also feels like a garden with plenty of trees for shade. However, they make it clear they don't want dogs there. Parking was horrific. A narrow street with cars on each side. We barely fit through it. If there wouldn't have been an open spot on it, I'm not sure what the next option is because I didn't see anywhere else and this street only held so many. I would dine here again because the sandwiches were fresh and delicious and they obviously know what they're doing! I was pleasantly surprised that they had prosecco as well.
