Everyone who has waited on me at Bullet Coffee on 280 is so nice and they always sign my "Buy 10 coffees and get the next one free" card. Drive-thru only, but absolutely worth the stop. The menu had plenty of great options, including seasonal drinks posted right on the window. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the drinks were so good we went twice during our visit. Prices were affordable, and the service was quick--perfect for a grab-and-go caffeine fix. Definitely a must-try local gem. read more

This was my first time here and I wanted an iced coffee. We were greeted by a friendly young lady who suggested the turtle latte. I loved it and it was the best coffee drink I had in Alabama ! The Coffee had so much favor that the coffee stood out over everything else. I will definitely return when I'm in the area. read more

This matcha latte was great! It was sweetened with vanilla and perfect for a quick drive through before heading to Lowe's. The workers were upbeat and cheery which is always nice to see on a rainy day! Service was fast, even with 3 cars in front of us. The building and landscaping is simple and clean! I really enjoy Bullet Coffee. Their coffee leans on the sweeter side, sometimes too sweet but I've also had a number of amazing drinks here with the blend of coffee and sweetness being perfect. They're easily one of the most consistent coffee spots around. That said, there are a couple of areas where they could improve. The customer service can occasionally feel a bit cold or indifferent, and the communication between staff members seems to be lacking at times. I've had my order messed up on several occasions, usually when I request no ice, a pretty simple ask. One time, when I asked for no ice, the staff member responded with, "It's not going to be filled to the top," which was a bit off-putting. The drink rarely seems filled to the top regardless of ice, which leaves me feeling like I'm not getting full value for the price. Overall, a bit more attention to detail and communication could really elevate the experience. Still a good spot and they're quite fast even when there's a long line. read more

Enjoyed a nice visit to Bullet Coffee this Sunday morning. My friend and I had never been before, so we thought we'd try. We both got large iced coffees and they were pretty good. The customer service was great and I loved their cute little building. From the moment we drove onto their property, it only took about 5 minutes to drive off, they were quick! Bullet Coffee delivers solid service and fun, dessert-like drinks, but if you're looking for bold, rich coffee flavor, it might fall a little short. The Turtle Latte is smooth and sweet--maybe too sweet for my taste. The chocolate and caramel definitely shine, but I found myself wishing for a stronger espresso presence to balance it out. Great drinks, great staff and great banana nut muffins! I'm not sure about you all, but I rarely see banana nut anything anymore because of everyones nut allergies. These muffins were a great size, had plenty of nuts and were so moist. We also tried their turtle coffee (iced) which was great. Not overly sweet like Oh Henry's (not bashing them because theirs is delicious as well). Also had a vanilla cappuccino which was piping hot and velvety smooth. Staff was quick and so sweet. Highly recommend if you want a quick drive through coffee. read more

I am a coffee snob. I like good coffee. I ordered a double cappuccino with oat milk, something that not every coffee shop gets right. The drink was absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful as well. Efficient, friendly baristas. On Tuesday morning (granted that I was the only customer in that timeframe), I got my coffee in less than 3 min. So I have to start by saying that when I first tried this place I went in with the wrong expectations and because of that it took me a few visits to kind of warm up to the place. When I saw a new coffee spot opening in this area I kind of hoped that I would be able to get small, deadly drinks like the cortados and macchiatos from some of the other new places around the city. As it turns out, this is not what they specialize in, and so I went ahead and sampled some of their menu and as it turns out the drinks are actually pretty good. So this is actually a small, free-standing building that sits next to Dairy Queen near the back of Lowe's in the Brook Highland shopping center. At first it can seem tricky to access, but you can get to it from any of the entrances to the shopping center and find it easily by making your way through the parking lot. It is drive thru only, and you first pull up and read the menu and then order at the window....then circle to the next window to pay and pick up your beverage. Easy enough. They've also got punch cards that reward your loyalty with free drinks so definitely pick up one of those. They've got a good selection of drinks available from a 6 shot red eye espresso to your flat white, Americano, cappuccino etc. Additionally they've got a variety of flavored espresso drinks both hot and cold if you're looking for something sweet. About that... the flavored iced coffee drinks are very sweet. Keep that in mind if you prefer your drinks to be more espresso-forward in their flavor. I've been ordering half the syrup, 2 extra shots and it seems to work out nicely. I'm a daily abuser of caffeine and this gets me enough to almost make me jittery. So that's nice. Prices are about what you would expect to pay for similar drinks at similar places, and the service is very friendly. The people here seem really happy to be doing what they're doing. So overall a pretty great place that's serving up strong doses of caffeine in a friendly manner for good prices in an area where good coffee can be hard to find. Definitely worth a shot if you haven't been. read more

Nice little spot. I admit I was a bit confused initially as I sat looking at the menu and no one ever took my order. You actually decide what you want pull forward and make a face to face order and pay. You then pull around to the opposite side and pick up your drink or snack and go. The menu includes classic, blended, and specialty coffees. There is also tea and hot chocolate. If you're not up for a beverage there is an assortment of goodies for breakfast and lunch. I ordered the chai latte and it was enjoyable. It's nice to have an alternative to Starbucks! read more

Decided to stop by on my way to work and this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I LOVE a lavender latte and have had my fair share of them, both from local coffee shops and Starbucks. This is possibly the BEST lavender latte I've EVER had!!! Skip Starbucks and go here!!! Not only is it SO DELICIOUS but it's also less $ than Starbucks!! Could not recommend more!!! I've always wanted to stop by this place off 280 but traffic gets the best of me. BUT today I finally did... and it was the best decision ever! This small drive-through is everything you could ever need from a local coffee shop. The staff was super friendly and super speedy. I don't think I've ever gotten a coffee order so quickly! I ordered a "So Good" latte. I usually base my judgement on regular lattes, but the fun specialty options they had were hard to resist. I'm not huge on flavored coffee but this was not too sweet, and had a flavor profile I can't say I've tried before and it was absolutely worth it. I was too excited to drink it so there's no photo of the latte art (if there was any, I didn't check ) The price was about the same a specialty latte from Starbucks, but I would for sure rather spend it here locally :) I would definitely come here again! read more

I don't know how this unsuspecting coffee drive-through manages to deliver some of Birmingham's best coffee, but it does. They are fast and efficient and still manage to serve phenomenal coffee. They offer dairy alternatives, which is especially surprising in Birmingham. I order their Almond Milk Cappucino almost every day, and it never fails to impress me. Most coffee shops struggle to make almond milk foam well, but Bullet does a great job. In fact, I think it is better than most coffee shops that I frequently visit in NYC or Washington D.C. If you find yourself on 280, I recommend stopping here. You will have a great cup of coffee within three minutes of ordering. Their employees are incredibly friendly, and the coffee is so much better than any other fast-food option along your commute. Their prices are more aligned with gourmet coffee shops, but the quality justifies the price in my opinion! Bullet is a treat disguised in a drive-through that adds a spark to my day every time I stop by. read more

I have been there about 2x and each time the staff was very friendly and prompt. The drinks are also very well made. Yesterday (Friyay!) was their grand opening day. Guess what they did? They gave out free 16 oz coffee drinks to anyone & everyone who showed up!! Well, let's go!!! This place is great!! Such friendly people work there. It's a drive thru only. I told my neighbor who has little ones who she would not have to take out of their car seats & get a free latte.... she was pretty excited to go check it out! I don't like really sweet flavored lattes myself, so I got half the amount of flavor syrup in mine. They handed me a menu. Their specialty espresso drinks have fun names. There's the Vulcan (brown sugar, cinnamon, white chocolate, espresso and milk (almond & soy milk also available). There's The Classic, The Turtle, the So Good, the Rush Hour & the 6Shooter (has 6 shots of espresso). I chose the "So good". I asked for half the amount of caramel and hazelnut that it comes with. Also they put cinnamon on top. It lived up to its name!! Loved it!! My husband & son also went later that day after I raved about it. Hubs ordered the Vulcan. My son ordered an iced blended mocha and loved it!! He ran through the door when they got home & said "mom!!! I didn't know they had Frappuccinos!!!" Ha!! I tasted it after begging for a sip. I like it better than a Frappuccino. It didn't taste as sweet to me. This place is perfect for anyone on the go. A busy mama, a family on a road trip, anyone on their way to work or home from work.... Prices are $4.99 for the 16 oz specialty lattes, $1.85 for a 12 oz brewed coffee.... Treat yourself!!! They also have quick bites such as muffins, yogurt parfait, salads, wraps... The owner told us that they also own the Red Mountain Expresso (may be Espresso... my apologies if spelling is off) which is the same concept. We also mentioned Eliano's to him & he was familiar with it as he told us that they have expanded to Montgomery & maybe a couple of other locations as well. Eliano's is a drive-thru only coffee specialty place similar to Bullet. We stop there on our way to Orlando. It's in Lake City, FL. The drive-thru only concept is catching on and it's a great idea for a local coffee on the go!! Go give Bullet some love!!! Support this awesome local business! They are right off 280 right by Lloyd's BBQ. Very happy to have Bullet close by. Looking forward to our next great cup of coffee. I work right around the corner from this place, and have been wanting to try it since they opened. I decided to get a Vulcan latte (white chocolate, brown sugar, and cinnamon) and their chicken wrap which comes with chips and broccoli salad. The latte was hot and delicious, exactly how I imagined with no weird aftertaste from the syrup like some places. They did spell my name wrong, but I'm used to being called Melinda. The wrap on the other hand was a huge disappointment. Solid 3.5/10. Their menu advertises the chicken wrap in athe picture as pressed and grilled to perfection, but the wrap I received was cold and very much neither grilled nor pressed. I wasn't asked if I wanted my wrap grilled, so I'm very confused about my life at this point about the wrap. It was a very average wrap as far as cold wraps that you expected to be warm are concerned. The broccoli salad saved the meal for me. Overall, 3/5 food with 5/5 coffee for me. I'll be back to try other menu items. Also, be careful when entering their parking lot. There is quite a large bump that my car really didn't care for. read more

Parking often deters me but after attending the Italian Festival earlier that day, we had a craving for pizza. I ordered the combo that includes 2 slices of the day with salad. Since I wasn't overly hungry, I offered him one of my slices and he added another slice to the order. We paid and were given a number to place on our selected table. Jazzy music played in the background while we waited on our order to be brought to the table. The natural lighting, while beautiful, made it a little warm in the building. One of the waitresses propped the door open that leads to the restrooms (which are in the hallway near the elevators) in order for cooler air to make its way in. That wasn't a deal breaker, but do be aware of that on warmer days. Our food came out after a short wait. I kept my 3 cheese slice, and gave him the pepperoni one. The cheeses were very rich and the salad, while simple without the frills, was perfectly sized and drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette that was just the right amount. While I enjoyed my meal very much and the ambiance, he wasn't overly impressed with his. He didn't want the fresh herbs on his slices and knocked all of them off, lol. He's a simple guy with simple taste. This is definitely a place I will be revisiting with one of my girlfriends and not him next time as he didn't appreciate what ZaZA had to offer. I looked around and felt the entire staff really knew how to work with their guests. Refreshing. Ambiance: At first, I thought the restaurant was a bit noisy. Yet my wife and my conversation was not strained. The Ambiance was upscale casual. Value: I thought the prices were a bit high yet the real story was, once I was finished, my mind was asking when the next time I would return.
