As a local, I can't tell you how much I love this place! Their drink specials are always amazing, and they have the most delectable empanadas. So happy to have this place close to home and open on a MONDAY. Also the cutest plants and funky artwork are a vibe.

Small coffee shop around the corner from Big Spoon Creamery. A lot of coffee options, I've never seen latte slushies so I had to try one on this warm spring day. It did NOT disappoint it was so so good & refreshing. They had caramel and mocha option today. They had breakfast empanadas we didn't try but a lot of people were ordering. Had some nice merch hanging for sale (sweatshirts, coffee, etc). A really great spot for coffee to-go or sit in and study/catch up with friends. I'd definitely come back when we're in the area!

Punch Love is a spot to nerd out on coffee. The multiple roasters (all options you really can't find anywhere else) available in the retail section tells you that as you walk in. It's an espresso based menu here with a drip. Everything is dialed in perfectly and you can tell has been painstakingly crafted to taste great. I'd suggest that even if you love your milk based drink that you try one of the single origin espresso shots. There's always something unique here, and you'd be surprised with how much you like it. Plus you get some chocolate (and if my previous mention about needing out told you anything, no it's not Hershey's, but way better!) to go with it and it always compliments the espresso.

A very cute coffee spot located in the Avondale area. I had the seasonal coffee drink, the "Bad Date" which was a cinnamon and date brown sugar latte with a hint of vanilla. So good! The service was great as well and always nice when they remember a face. Good to know they will be expanding as well!

Atmosphere: Punch Love Coffee is a small, bright shop in the Makebhm space. There are several tables outside but only a few small tables inside, so it may be more difficult to come with a larger group. The interior is minimalistic with plants scattered around the cafe, as well as a giant monstera! Service: The owner/barista was very nice! One thing to note is that they don't have wifi, so this might not be the optimal place for working remotely. Food: We ordered a vanilla cappuccino and regular cappuccino. They were both served at a nice temperature -- not too hot or cold. The vanilla was a bit on the sweet side, but we still very much enjoyed our drinks. Overall: We loved how intimate and refreshing Punch Love Coffee felt. The drinks were good, and the vibes were positive and friendly. We'd say Punch Love Coffee is a great place to read, chat, and enjoy a drink.

What a cute, new coffee shop in Avondale! This was one of the best mochas I have ever had. I can't wait to stop by again. It was nice and quiet on Saturday morning and I was able to enjoy my latte and just people watch as everyone strolled in.

Small, intimate setting. The Barista/Owner was super chill and cool. I had the "Put it in reverse Terry" to drink and a blueberry danish to eat. Ah-mazing! I can't wait to get back, I think I may have found a new coffee spot to frequent!

Wonderful service, the ambience is super relaxed and the cappuccino I got was incredible! Super great milk texture but the espresso in the cap was incredibly flavorful. You could taste the fruit but barely any tartness which made the flavor of the cappuccino so balanced comfy and DELICIOUS. Highly recommend, especially if your looking for a nice slow Saturday coffee or if you need a cozy spot to get work done. This place is a gem!

This was the spot we would all come to to do homework. It's still got that same warmth and charm. I came in on a Wednesday morning to sit and do some work. I ordered a cappuccino, bran muffin, and a breakup cookie to take home. The cappuccino is just as expected. Served at the perfect temp, great flavor. The bran muffin, which was my attempt to be healthy, was really a delicious stand-out. I would definitely get that again. And, of course, the breakup cookies are some of the best cookies in town. They bake all of the baked goods in-house, I believe, which gets a round of applause from me. A lot of the recipes are still the same ones I remember from 7 years ago. One thing I noticed that's even BETTER than I remember was the books and gift selection. A lot of the books caught my eye. It's a great curation of fiction, non, memoirs, birding books, children's, etc. They also carry the Village Apothecary candles, which are made locally and have some packaging I really love. Church Street is one of the Birmingham staples. I hope they're open for a million more years. They do what they do exceptionally well.

I've had good coffee, great coffee, exceptional coffee, mediocre coffee, and questionable things called "coffee". O'Henry's on Highlands is a standard small coffee shop inside, nice ambience, cute. Staff is friendly for the most part. Has usual stuff like food/pastries, etc. While all nice, the one thing I've never liked was their coffee. It's standard tasting, basic B level, and when i'm in the area and have to have a coffee right now, I end up ordering a flavored coffee there, because it masks the lack of flavor of their actual coffee, which is what I really wanted in the first place. If you are an average Joe and just want a cup of coffee and there happens to be coffee shop you're parked next to, O'Henry's will do the job.
