Came here after reading reviews. I'll start by saying the staff were decent enough. Not super friendly but not rude. Just there. I ordered an iced americano given it was a hot day around noon. I got my drink and went to add creamer and sweetener like I always do. And bam that's when I noticed this place was one of those we are going to force you to have what we believe is healthier for you. What do I mean. No Splenda no equal just that nasty truvia. I'm diabetic so I don't use sugar and truvia is just nasty. It tastes horrible and makes your drink taste horrible. Now mind you they will use all kinds of syrups with dyes and additives and sugars but nope not Splenda. That's bad for you. The 50 grams of sugar in a single vanilla latte is totally fine. We're ok with that even though that alone is over the recommended amount. But Splenda no we can't allow that. Will never be back. read more

I'm obsessed. Been here twice now, two weekends in a row. They're always slammed on weekends, but it's worth it. Both times I got the seasonal 'matchu peachu,' a peach flavored iced matcha. it was fantastic and the perfect drink for the summer heat. There is usually a line out the door and nearly all the seating full on weekends. I imagine it's much quieter on weekdays, and you could certainly sit here and do some work. There is some outdoor seating, too. The have some Ladybird tacos and a few pastries available, I believe from Last Call. June is a great option for coffee! I love they usually have plenty of parking options. It was a little crowded when I visited on a Wednesday am. Met some friends who were visiting from out of town here! We arrived around 9 am Sat morning and they had a little line but it moved quickly. All of the tables were full but by the time we got our order we were able to snag a table. I love the atmosphere & it was a cool coffee shop. I just moved from Miami and was so sad to leave my favorite coffee shop... until I found June Coffee. Honestly, it's the best coffee I've had in a long time. So good that I didn't even stop to take aesthetic photos (and that's saying something!) The staff is super friendly and laid-back. The vibe of the shop is a perfect mix of industrial and cozy. They carry pastries from Last Call Baking Company that are top tier. They have tacos from Ladybird too--those are just okay, but hey, you're here for the coffee anyway. I always enjoy supporting a local coffee shop and was excited to try June Coffee based on the positive reviews. There is free street parking and a small gravel lot that you can park in next to June. It's a decent size gravel courtyard in front of June with tables. The inside is very cozy and has a public restroom and tables inside with free wifi. The service was awesome, all smiles! I was greeted as soon as I entered and had no wait. There was a small menu with seasonal flavors next to the register and I ordered a maple pecan latte with oatmilk $8.25. I'm not sure if the oatmilk overpowered the other flavors but I didn't taste any hint of maple or pecan, it actually tasted more like a cinnamon honey ice latte. I've heard such great things about this place. I met up with my friend Miranda here about a month ago. It's a great place to both work or catch up with friends. They have a patio with outside seating as well as a cute space inside to sit. We started outside and worked our way inside once the wind picked up. I ordered one of their seasonal drinks which was an iced pistachio rose latte. It came with two shots, but since it was later in the afternoon, I asked them to substitute one of my shots with decaf. Coffee is a science here. The baristas are so incredibly knowledgeable about the background of all the beans and their flavor profiles. The syrups are all made in house. I like that they date when they roasted the beans and the dates on the syrups. I opted to try both their tea and coffee. I received a London Fog and it's the best in town. The tea bag is huge and you could even keep it and use it again. For the coffee, I wanted to try the daily brew--just black. It was so strong (which is great for me) that I could only drink half of it. But the flavor profile was delightful. I'm going to buy a bag of the beans next time. A match made in heaven is that they are next door to Last Call Baking and carry their pastries. The ambiance is nice too. I've heard lots of good things about June so I decided it was finally time to try it. I got the rose pistachio latte because I'm obsessed with pistachio but I wasn't a fan of the rose flavor. I really enjoyed my first trip to June Coffee. It was a perfect weather day to enjoy the outdoor seating. And we did! The inside offers a modern vibe with a really comfortable ambiance. The staff here is very pleasant and although we came in real close to them closing , we never felt rushed. I took note of this. I ordered a Cortado. That's what I'm on currently and it's been hard finding a proper one in Bham...... I enjoyed the drink!! Only knock , I wish it had been a tad bit hotter. Presentation was great! We got there before 9am on a Thursday. Had to park down the block, but thankfully it was a nice morning. It was pretty packed. The guy at the register was very friendly & helpful. I ordered the pistachio rose latte, which was quite tasty and smooth. Could have been hotter though. I was surprised that there were so few pastries this early in the day. My son wanted a chocolate croissant, but they were out. He got another pastry he said was good though. They also serve Ladybird Tacos, which we are big fans of. Service: The baristas are super friendly, and our drinks have always come out quickly! Food: We've tried their Iced Matcha Latte with Vanilla Syrup, Hot White Chocolate Mocha, Hot Orange Fig Latte, Hot Americano, and their Daily Drip. The Iced Matcha Latte was pretty solid -- the vanilla syrup balanced out the matcha well, and though the matcha was slightly powdery, it wasn't too noticeable. The Hot White Chocolate Mocha and Orange Fig Latte were beautifully presented, and had just the right amount of sweetness to still let the espresso shine through. The Daily Drip (Colombian) was fruity and mild. The Americano had a nice, smooth coffee flavor and the perfect amount of bitterness. Overall: We've consistently enjoyed our work and lounging sessions at June Coffee. The staff are friendly, and the overall vibes of the coffee shop are some of the best in Birmingham! New coffee in shops in Birmingham is always a nice perk! June Coffee was a great addition to the magic city. Very bright and vibrant this coffee shop sits on the North side of town in a very easily located spot. Tons of available parking (free street) which is a perk. Seating on the inside is available but I must say it's not super accommodating for a large study group unless you don't mind sitting outside where there are a few benches available. The pastries are very fresh. But arrive early to get them the freshest. As for coffee I really enjoy their seasonal menu. I personally got a black sesame and date latte with oat milk. It was a perfect blend, though a bit expensive, similar to what you would find in any boutique coffee shop. Places for charging are available, but I would be sure to bring the extension to your charger to make sure it reaches. Overall great place and I enjoy the atmosphere read more
