For years I drove pass this place and never once thought to go in. Which is why I made a post about it about a week ago and found out that everyone had been holding this place hostage because no one ever told me how good they were. Those that know me know I'm a Krispy Kreme guy at heart and I hate Dunkin Donuts with a passion (I don't like cake donuts). However this place is just simply GOAT'D because it's definitely better then Krispy Kreme. Ladies and gentlemen this place is POP DONUT which I believe is only by a very nice Asian family. Everything is made fresh every day. They open up from 5am to 2pm Tuesday through Sunday. Fair warning if you get there late most of the good stuff is gone you have to get there as early as possible. After tasting what I tasted I understand why. The donuts are pillowy soft and taste so fresh and they even sell breakfast sandwiches. Believe me when I say you have to go here and as long as they are open I will never by Krispy Kreme again and you can catch me on my cheat days right here for sure! I gave these donuts to friends and everyone enjoyed them and I hope you do as well. Pop Donuts is located at 1819 Center Point Parkway, Birmingham, AL 35215 205-856-3980

    All donuts were amazing

The employees were very kind and patient and the glaze donuts and donut holes are 10/10 better than Krispy cream and very good prices. I would recommend to all of my friends and family!

Who doesn't love having fresh donuts made daily with tender loving care? Unlike most donut shops that shipped out there products to be sold at other locations, you'll walk in to see them actually making the donuts from scratch. Not only are the donuts good, but they sell them at a affordable cost compare to big name franchise. Prepare yourself if you're coming in 30 minutes after open because they might not have all the donuts made just yet. I know everyone feel unease about Center Point, but trust me, this is one of the decent places to try out if you're ever in the area since you'll be getting the best of both world which is tasty donuts and friendly customer service.

Donuts are great; however, they need a good pest control servicing. The roaches are right in your face.

By far the best donut I've ever had. Had regular glazed and found it buttery soft - better than KK in my book!

What a charming bakery/coffee shop in a super cute almost European nook in town. If you're…read morevisiting, I definitely recommend taking a drive to this area. Progressive area - Seems to be... There wasn't line when we got there but the crowd usually follows us for some reason so by the time we left there was standing room only and a line out the door. The bakery items were very fresh and tasty. I loved the Swedish gingerbread cookies - light and crisp. The lemon bar was delicious. They also have sandwiches that liked really good. Coffee - I got a vanilla latte extra sweet (no lavender) and my daughter said it was one of the best. I thought it was pretty good. I would go again when back in Birmingham!

Nestled in the Mountain Brook area, it's a little hard to see but is right next to Chez Lulu, which I think is a sister restaurant. Parking is a little tricky but manageable. I got there fairly late so the selection was a bit picked over, but I still got a good array of treats to bring home. Service was a touch slow but friendly. They were fairly busy. There's no room to eat inside or outside that I could discern; it's exclusively a take and go type of place. I got two pecan sandies to share with my parents, who were along for the ride, and then a cardamom bun and a peanut butter cookie for later. Sadly, I don't feel like any of the pastries really wowed. The pecan sandies were a little too dry (even as sandies go) and the pecans didn't taste toasted nor were they especially plentiful. The peanut butter cookie was the best thing, though it too was a little on the dry side - nice PB flavor though. I straight up didn't like the cardamom bun. The cardamom flavor was completely overwhelming, to the point it wasn't sweet at all, and instead tasted almost medicinal. The texture was nice but I couldn't finish it. Perhaps I arrived too late to order their specialties. I know they specialize in European goodies so if I return I'll make sure to try a croissant or something similar.

I assume that is simply part of being located downtown where space is limited. The driveway and patio area could use a good sweeping, which would really help improve the overall appearance. Since I do not frequent Dunkin', I was not quite sure what to order. I simply asked for "something sweet to drink." When I noticed they had a breakfast combo that included a drink, I decided to go with that option. The employee on the intercom was incredibly helpful and patient while I figured things out. When I apologized for being new to the Dunkin' world, she genuinely smiled and assured me it was no problem. Her kindness and patience made such an impression that I asked if she would be willing to have her photo included in my review. She seemed pleasantly surprised and said that had never happened before, but she was happy to oblige. As I exited, the drive through leads straight through another parking lot, which felt a bit unusual. Again, I assume that is simply part of navigating a downtown location. The food was delicious and I enjoyed every bite. The new banana flavored iced coffee that Skyler recommended was absolutely perfect.
