Ok Tik Tok, you got me. Saw this place and suggested it to my wife. Came here on a Tuesday night and we really wanted it to be awesome because it was 45 min. from our house. It was good, but it wasn't awesome. Admittedly I am no dumpling connoisseur but I have had GREAT dumplings. Everything we ordered tonight we have had before elsewhere and I can only compare it to what I know. This was not North China Eatery nor was it Canton House. The Beef Sheng Jian Bao was not what I expected. Not the soft pillowy steamed Bao buns I wanted but maybe it's not what they're supposed to be. Just didn't know. The pork and scallion pan fried dumplings had more flavor but the sauce it came with left me wanting. I needed salt. The spring rolls were amazing! But they were like anyone else's spring rolls. But the sweet chili sauce was excellent. I think out of everything they were my favorite. The first bite of the chicken fried rice was great, but as we kept eating, it was just dry. Loved the edamame and the red onion in there though. Haven't had that very often in fried rice. The chicken was perfectly cubed which left me suspect. That didn't seem like fresh chicken. I was guessing frozen. There was a lot more on the menu that I would like to try but I wasn't that hungry. It's a cool, clean, modern place with a requisite robot serving the food. Seeing those a lot these days. Didn't get a whole lot of guidance from the servers. No suggestions or recommendations. Pretty sure we looked lost from the start. But there were plenty of people in there who looked like they knew what they were doing. 50/50 we will give it another shot.

Food was ok - nothing to blow your mind, but the restaurant was dirty. Maybe they are still trying to work out the kinks. We arrived Saturday around 6pm and the outdoor patio wasn't ready and the indoor seating had about a 20 min wait. Since I've been waiting for this place to open for months, our party of three waited as it got busier and busier. There were a lot of families here and because of that, food was on the floor and the table when we were seated. After being seated for about 5 minutes someone came to clean the floor. The food came out as it was ready, and the soup dumplings were pretty good, the bao was different and enjoyable (first time trying) and I loved the texture of the dumpling on the seared pot sticker (but not so much on the filling). The duck buns were the worst. Very little duck and the bun wasn't pillowy and soft as others I've had. The bun to duck ratio was so off, it was like eating bread only for 50%. Overall, I would rather venture to Buford Hwy for better dumplings, but this is a good local spot. Lots of people were picking up takeout, which might be a more preferred way of getting your dumpling fix.

Stathes Dumpling crawl 2025 stop #1

Tucked into a strip mall, Dumpling Master was the most Americanized stop on our family's first annual "dumpling crawl," but don't let that fool you--these dumplings are the real deal. Everything is handmade and bursting with flavor. The soup dumplings were rich and satisfying, but the pan-fried pork and chive gyoza absolutely stole the show. Perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy and tender inside--I could have easily eaten a hundred. They were that good. Bonus: your food is delivered by a robot (yes, really), and the staff was warm and welcoming. It's a solid 30-minute drive from home, but I'm already plotting my return later this week. Dumpling Master has definitely earned a spot on my repeat list.

Come in and experience the taste of China in the form of freshly made dumplings. Have you food delivered my a robotic waiter with several serving shelves. Experience the massive entry with a cute dumpling figure ( their mascot) and take a few photos. Lovely counter staff the greets you instantly, ready to assist or seat you. This casual dinning spot should be all the rave in Alpharetta. The food is prepared by exceptional chefs. Why you can even watch your meal being prepared. Love this local eatery and ALL that it offers. Stop by if you can and enjoy the fine selection of boba drinks

Not sure what I was expecting but I drove by this place all the time and figured I'd try it. I got a milk tea with boba, spicy wonton noodle soup, bbq pork buns, and sesame balls. You order with a QR code at the table and then a robot brings your food. Fun touch! If you like spice then this place definitely brings the heat, and the portions are large (I ordered way too much food). I would come here again. It's a nice casual place to get some good food.

Well done. First Visit. We had a great time. Very clean. Service was great. Food was authentic. Visited with husband and friend. Will definitely come back.

When you come in, you order from the QR code on the table and when you are done eating you pay at the counter. There's a cute dumpling master mascot you can take a pic with. They also still have up their nice Christmas tree too. The fried rice could have had more flavor. The noodles were slightly too sweet. But overall the food was good! The boba was good too!

I was pretty much the only person when I arrived about 1 pm, but when I left 45 minutes later the dining room was full. I guess I'm a trend maker. It was a very clean and neat place. I was greeted immediately by the staff and permitted to choose any table. The menu contained appetizers, dumplings, stir fry, fried rice, soups, and sandwiches. Lots of variety of dishes, plus the various teas to drink. There is a QR code on the table so you can place your order online, although the staff were there to help if needed. Dishes were delivered from the kitchen by a robot that signals its arrival with a cheerful bell sound. I was surprised and delighted by the robot. My pan-fried pork and cabbage dumplings were delicious. Hot and savory, served with a warm soy sauce. There were also three dipping sauces on the table that I ignored. There were eight dumplings in the order which would be perfect to share if people in a group wanted that in addition to other food. My tea was also great. It came in a tall lidded plastic cup with a boba straw. I liked the cup so much I took it home with me after lunch. The teas allow many options of flavors (fruit or milk based), different types of boba, the amount of sugar and ice you like. I had a fun experience today and I'm glad I gave Dumpling Master a try!

I was very excited to try this place out as I kept seeing it all over social media. I do love me a good dumpling, especially when it's closer than Duluth or Midtown. However, this place was a huge let down. The exterior looked nice and new walking up. We entered the restaurant and were led to our table. They handed us a menu, pointed to a QR code on the table and told us to order from there. A bit strange, but we decided to keep going. They brought us both water (no ice) and it was disgusting. I'm not sure if they don't have filtered water or pull it straight from the tap but it was not good, at all. We ordered the pork wonton noodle soup, pork soup dumplings and beef steamed dumplings. The downside to the QR code ordering method was that we did not get service the rest of our visit. They returned maybe once to check on drinks but that was it. We had to get our own utensils and dishes. In fact, there wasn't even a human to deliver our food- it was a robot. I'm not sure how you can expect a service tip when there is not much "service" to be had. We had to order our own food, remove it and send back the robot and we still didn't have the correct utensils. For soup dumplings, you should be given chopsticks and a soup spoon. We were given chopsticks and a normal, metal spoon. If you've ever eaten soup dumplings, you will know that this does not work. My soup was spilling all over the steaming basket and my plate, none of it staying in my dumpling. The whole point of soup dumplings is to drink the soup and I essentially lost it all before it even made it to my mouth. The soup dumplings and steamed dumplings were good, although we had an issue where the meat kept falling out of the dumpling. I will also add that the folds of the dumplings (top creases) were somewhat hard and cold, which usually indicates a frozen dumpling. Frozen dumplings are fine as long as you are not advertising them as fresh. The pork wonton soup was also good. The sauce they gave us to dip our dumplings in was good as well, but there was a hair floating in mine. Yuck. And after we finished eating the meal, my mouth felt brined. All of the food was SOOO salty. Salty to the point that I was uncomfortable after eating and I found myself drinking a lot of water the rest of the night. Overall it was not a bad restaurant but there was much left to be desired. The service was below average and the food was lacking in flavor (besides salt).

8 Piece Pork and Chinese Cabbage Steamed Dumplings

Great little addition to the area...and I love dumplings-full send! Service was nice and attentive, place was clean since they are new...don't really have any complaints to be honest. Dumplings were made by hand and not frozen-which is a huge plus! Dumpling size was perfect Bok Choy was a little too saucy for me, but the flavor was spot on. Due to extra sauce the crisp and crunch that makes Bok Choy super delish was lost a little. Soup dumplings held together so we didn't any broth to the streamer gods...which anyone that loves soup dumplings knows can be an issue. Would totally eat here again.

Shrimp stir fried noodle is the main reason to come!!

We weren't sure about this restaurant when we pulled up or when we saw a limited interaction setup with the staff, but when the food arrived we were more than convinced! The dumplings were good, but the fried thin noodles stole the show! The shrimp option gave us some variety from the beef and pork rolls we ordered, but it was also perfectly cooked - all the delicious flavor of authentic Chinese food but with a texture that wasn't over-stir-fried like most of the shrimp we had in China!

Marcus O.

Solid spot if you're craving some non-Alpharetta-typical Chinese food. I tried the spicy pork wonton noodle soup, and it's got some legit heat to it. If you like spicy, go for the spicy variations. The wontons are tasty, and the broth has a nice depth. Definitely a highlight. I also ordered the scallion pancakes, which had a good flavor, but they fell short on texture. They weren't crispy at all, which was but still enjoyable. The service is pretty hands-off -- you order everything through an app at the table, and your food gets delivered via robot... kind of cool but might not be for everyone. Drinks are self-serve, and you pay at the counter when you're done. It's efficient, but if you're looking for more personal interaction, it's not really that kind of place. Overall, good food and a unique experience, but a few small tweaks could make it even better. Seating is relaxed and comfortable with some outdoor tables as well. Happy to see this here.

No fuss eating experience. Self order via QR code, robot machine delivers your order, help yourself with extra plates/bowls/water/utensils. Even the to-go boxes are self serve. I really like this type of settings. Food are delicious. Their spicy noodle soup and Szechuan Chicken are on point. Pecking duck bun are less than average. Favorite drink is orange jasmine.

The Canton House on Buford Highway is my family's go-to for authentic Cantonese dim sum in Atlanta…read more The food is always up to expectations each and every visit. Having been at least once every couple months for years, it's our Chinese comfort food as dim sum is meant to be. Although I would recommend arriving at anytime they are open, we find the absolute best time for dim sum is to arrive right at opening on Saturday or Sunday. This time lets us beat the wait, get a great table fast, and the food is super plentiful, hot and fresh out of the kitchen. The chrysanthemum tea is a must have and complements the food as a perfect, tasty, and just sweet enough palate cleanser (although I would prefer to add the rock sugar myself to my tea, they serve it with sugar already inside the pot). For the absolute best pairing with your chrysanthemum tea, make sure to save room for the awesome pineapple buns while supplies last. They were out today and we all collectively cried (will be going back just for the pineapple buns soon...we are just not complete without them!). We love all the dishes, but our absolute favorites (outside of the pineapple buns) are the pork spare ribs with black bean, the beef rice rolls/noodles, shrimp dumplings, and turnip cakes. Add some spicy sauce to the spare ribs and turnip cakes to really set them off! For iced coffee lovers who like it really strong, don't pass up on the iced coffee. It has legs that are strong enough to walk, but completely complements the dim sum with a little extra boost to help you enjoy the day. So, I challenge others to find a better dim sum place in Atlanta. That is why Canton House earns my 5th star and looking forward to getting my pineapple buns (really) soon!

We started with the flower tea, amazing choice! Sweet and warming, nicely aromatic. Perfect start. Then the dim sum carts rolled in and we chowed down. DISHES I ORDERED - Siu Mai: Not the best I've had. Quite oily on the outside, but the flavor isn't bad. It does...taste like siu mai. It's just nothing spectacular - Chinese Broccoli: A classic! Very good - Beef Chow Fun: A very chewy and bouncy home made flat noodle dish. Savory, salty, and flavorful! Good amount of tender beef too. - Shrimp Balls: Crispy and fried on the outside, yummy, with good big shrimp ball. Yummy classic sweet and sour sauce too. Delicious - Egg Rolls: Good, not too oily, a normal egg roll - Spare ribs: Possibly my favorite dish! Tender, not too chewy, good savory sweet flavor. -- Overall, it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. My favorite item was probably the spare ribs. The rest were standard in my opinion. However, service is fast since it is dimsum, so perfect to eat when hungry! Also great ambiance for big group parties or hangouts!

The lady who served us was super nice, and took care of us. Most likely the owner runs both establishments. But I wasn't that bothered by it. I would recommend, because of the "bang for your buck" aspect. Seats about 70 people and it looks like it's just a tacked on extension of Volcano sushi/Hibachi. Now let's talk food. They give you a paper menu and you look at the items and you put a number on how many servings you want. Serving sizes vary like the Shumai gives 4 peices while the soup dumplings are 3 so if you put "2" down for the soup dumplings, you'll get 6 total dumplings. Some things are great, others are horrid. I decided on a few popular items. Everything is pork based save for the beef short ribs. The Hong Kong style meatball, the soup dumplings, the chive and pork, the wontons, the shumai; all pork based and some combined shrimp with it. I don't know what it is but there is a window where things are great piping hot and once it hits a cooling point, it just sucks. That being said, order one item at a time, eat it hot, and quick because cold pork/shrimp shumai just doesn't cut it. There was also the Chou Zhu or something that had a distasteful flavor and texture. The Hong Kong style meatball also had a very off putting flavor. Everything that was shrimp based left a bad taste in my mouth and things sat real heavy. The Tonkatsu ramen was delicious and the lo mein was extremely flavorful to be fair. I did like the soup dumplings but I wish they had more soup. It's definitely one to visit just once to get that all you can eat experience but that's it. The Hong Kong Style Lobster was a small portion and I barely got to eat any. 4 seasons appetizer was okay but just mainly fried stuff. Steak cubes were super small and I only had one. The walnut shrimp dish tasted like the honey shrimp from the low budget Chinese buffets. Dungeness crab was nicely decorated but didn't taste good. Peking duck wasn't bad but the portion was too small. It didn't help people in my party was grabbing big portions and being selfish. The sea bass was very good and I loved the crunchy ness to it. The snow peas dish was not very desirable as I had no clue what was inside. The fried rice was garbage as I tasted better fried rice from Panda Express. It had tiny shrimp bits like from low budget shrimp pieces from Krogers. Let's get to the table service part. One of the females had a real nasty attitude and didn't seem like they were too happy to be here. We finished eating and ate our cake. We wanted to have alittle fun with the karaoke but apparently the staff members kept coming in to "check" on us every 5 minutes. They weren't there to check on us as it felt like they were trying to rush us out so they can clean up. One employee even had the nerve to say, isn't it getting dark out? I was highly insulted by this. Affer spending approximately over $1700 at Canton House, I expected alittle more nicer hospitality. And from looking at their regular dining area, which maybe had only 4-5 tables with customers seat. They can use our business as the food here sucks. Affer the 5th time of employees coming to "check" on us, we all got tired and decided to leave. I do not recommend this place as the food and customer service just stinks here. I will definitely not giving them any of my hard earned money on the future. The dim sum as I remembered wasn't the best but I gave them a chance and still gave them a decent review. The value for the food is horrible. But I didn't hold anything back this time as they have been opened for a very long time.

While presentation was great everything fell short except for the XLB and egg tarts. I do like that there is an option for a small portion of noodles - great if you want room to try other dishes. Noodles themselves were nice and chewy but the flavor and thickness of the broths felt like I was eating ramen instead of Chinese or Taiwanese noodle soups. Meats were tender. The gravy noodles had fish, pork, and duck in it and had too many mixes of flavors for us. The potstickers were large but too oily and didn't have much flavor inside.
