Their green onion pancake is THE BEST I've had in a long time. The pancake came out hot, flaky, with lots of layers, lots of green onions, the outside was crispy, and the inside was soft. It was the perfect green onion pancake. Their beef noodle soup was spicy and their dry noodles (zha jiang mien and peanut noodles) were not that great. Their dumplings are delicious and really filled up. read more

My daughter and I ordered from here for the first time last night after reading the great reviews and pictures posted. We were very excited to give this a try and used UberEats. Sadly disappointment quickly set in when we found a bug in the box!! I called the business right away and calmly explained the issue. The gentleman I spoke with laughed a bit then repeatedly said this has never happened to them. I asked to speak with a manager but of course one was not available but he promised someone would call me back which never happened!!! I understand things happen but to not call back, take ownership of the error, apologize, and at least offer some sort of refund is unacceptable!! read more

Ordered today for the first time. The beef and onion dumplings were the best I have ever had. The combo fried drive was exceptional as well. Staff was friendly and food was hot and fresh. I will definitely be back soon. Loved it. read more

When you walk in, wait literally 8 minutes without being acknowledged, let alone sat at a table, you walk out and do not go back. Especially when you can hear a table full of people complaining about the "painfully slow" service they received. Bummer as it looked delish! read more

Don't order delivery. We tried to be helpful to the restaurant by ordering delivery directly rather than through ubereats so they wouldn't lose 30% of the money. Apparently that just means there's less recourse if they're 30 minutes late. Was quoted 55 mins, it's been 90 and they can't even tell me if my order has left the restaurant read more

Looking for a place who takes over an hour and 30 minutes to deliver cold, subpar food? And rude customer service when asking about your order status? You've found the right place! Only reason I am giving this place a star is because I can't give them zero. The food isn't good enough to deal with the rude customer service ever again. Employees lack communication skills and hospitality. Spend your money somewhere else! read more

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Plano. They have a huge menu packed with a wide variety of buns, dumplings, pancakes, noodles, veggies, and meats. It's a great place for meals with larger groups as there's bound to be something here for everyone--no matter how picky. My personal favorite dish here is the beef pancake. Their beef pancake is like no other--served as a plate of flat bao zi and fried to perfection. Be sure to hold your soup spoon underneath; this thing is seriously juicy, and you won't want it to go to waste. All of their other dumplings and buns I've tried are delicious as well, and when in doubt, opt for fried over steamed. :) And if you're looking for something green (ish), spring for the dry-fried string beans with minced pork. Super delicious (though admittedly hardly healthy). Bonus: for those of you who can't get enough (i.e., me), you can buy frozen dumplings in the back. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The best dumplings are hot and yummy! The food taste grilled and it really is a burst of flavor.

This has been our go-to recently. It's the perfect comfort food. We have ordered at least 6 times since the quarantine and have never been dissapointed. There are so many dumplings to choose from but our personal faves have been: chicken and mushroom steamed dumpling and green onion pancake, the been and onion bun was awesome but they are HUGE and I honestly prefer to eat a lot of little things vs one big and you get a lot in each order. Their dishes are awesome too, we tried the cucumber salad and it was so refreshing and delicious. Other dishes that have been awesome: kung pao chicken, string bean chicken, orange beef, sweet & sour shrimp and lo mein. read more

Dumplings we did get were pretty good. Messed up a large take out order and did not replace meals or offer compensation for meals that were not correct or missing. read more

Absolutely my new favorite Chinese food place!!! Came for Christmas lunch and the flavors will knock your socks off. LOVED the fried dumplings. The Orange Chicken was meaty and wasn't covered in too much batter. We will be back again! read more

Very good- nice proportions. Tried fried beef/chive dumplings with chive pancakes. Was very happy. Note these are bigger than what am used too so the price made more sense when I got the order. Friends ordered lunch special lemon chicken- sweet and crispy - also a hit. Would come back and recommend to friends. Update 10/25: My first review was from my 1st time. Since then I have gone back 3 more times. So far all plates are very tasty. Favorite so far is beef and onion pancake- wow. read more

Northern China style! All the dumpling dishes are very authentic according to all my northern Chinese friends and so is very labor intensive for each pieces so thus the price. Open concept Chinese kitchen like Pei Wei and very clean and well managed. Decent size/portion and friendly servers. Juicy dumpling with hot soup inside the pan fried dumpling. Beware of the tongue burning hot juicy beef filling and have fun trying it. Good for winter time read more

Great Bao! Just like I had in Beijing on vacation. The service was friendly and the prices very reasonable. I definitely recommend.

Wow, this place is outstanding. I should have read the reviews on portion size. We ordered way more than our table could eat. We had the house buns, pork and cabbage dumplings, beef pancakes, and the green beans. It was all delicious. We were a little surprised that the green beans were our favorite but we're glad we took the suggestion. They had just a touch of spiciness and great flavor. Our orders came out super quickly and the servers were very nice and fast. If you're thinking about trying this place out I would recommend it. read more

I tried 8 things on the menu, and didn't like any of them. Special fried rice was only slightly below par, the rest was just...not for me. I'm a big fan of Chinese food and especially dim sum. Sorry to give a bad review while restaurants are having their asses kicked by Covid, but their quality needs to be improved. read more

Really 4.5 stars. Have ordered a number of times (string beans, jalapeno cilantro chicken, kung pao, etc.) since my last review, and ordered buns since then as well. Ordered the sichuan pepper garlic chicken tonight. OMG Hubby and I are going to fight over the leftovers. LOL read more

This is hands-down my new favorite place to eat. We ran across it by accident and I love their dumplings. I especially love the dumpling sauce with fresh ginger slivers. It compliments the dumplings perfectly. All of their noodles are great. Normally at other places I order fried dumplings to add flavor to it but I love their dumplings steamed. It is quaint and the staff is friendly. If you are looking for a fancy decor with over-priced average food this is NOT your place. What this place may lack in fancy, it makes up for in it's incredible food and good prices. Thank you for not disappointing everytime. We look forward to remaining loyal customers. read more

Liked the green onion pancake. Wasn't a fan of the dumplings. I could see them made and so know they were made fresh, it's just my taste buds. I loved the egg rolls! Loved the sauce that came with it too. Doubt I'll go back but it was great to try them. We have a place closer that I prefer more. read more

Try to know what you want or what you think you want before coming to the Dumpling House. It's a big menu and although the ingredients are listed, there's no way to have a complete understanding of what a dish is going to be when it lands in front of you. The staff are nice, but rushed. The portions are meant for families when it comes to dumplings. They are big dumplings. We had 10 pork and shrimp. Very good and meant to be eaten with the black vinegar on the table. $12.95. I have a feeling all of the dumplings are good here. All of the bun I saw on other diner's tables looked beautiful. We also had a spicy beef shank noodle soup with bok choy that had noodles that went on forever. Delicious tender beef. Our seafood fried rice with curry sauce disappointed, though. The rice was very very dry. The calamari, shrimp and basa were quite good alone; but it was unfortunate that the rice was not good. They do not have lunch specials or reduced portions. An interesting place. read more

Sigh. I really wanted to give this place a good review because the food wasnt too disappointing. It was actually ok. The service, however, was sad and disastrous. First of all, we were left to wait up front for a good 10 minutes, and I let that slide because the restaurant was a bit busy. But then when we were showed to our table, the waitress disappeared and never come back for another 15 minutes. when she did come back though, she decided to wait on the table across from us who came in 10 mins after us, while we're sitting here, all 3 of us hungry and we werent even offered some sort of beverage. By that time we really all just wanted to leave but another waitress appear after a minute and saved the day. It was still a less than desirable experience and I honestly think we won't be coming back. read more

Went here with hubby for lunch and he loved it! Signature buns came with 10 buns with pork inside for the price of $9, and it was delicious. Beef noodle soup was good, just need a little more soys sauce. Ordered with spicy but it wasn't that spicy. Friendly and fast service. Clean place. Reasonable priced.. Highly recommend this place. read more

If you're American you won't appreciate this place. If you're American married to a Chinese you're going to love this place!. Excellent service, most excellent ffffffooooood!. Lots of vegetarian choices, too!. Wifey & family are Taiwanese with 1/2 of the family liking really spicy & the other not spicy at all. Food might (to an American) taste like it needs salt...but just remember: it's always easy to add salt it's very hard to take too much salt away. Always a waiting line but it's well worth the wait!. read more

Genuine Chinese food with rich flavors. I grew up in Northern China. The dumplings and pancake in this restaurant remind my mom's food. I highly recommend you try beef pancakes, house signature buns and their orange beef. By the way, I ordered delivery several time from the restaurant, the food still tasted very good when I received it. read more

Smokey and tasty double cooked pork with tons of veggies! That's was the best of what I ordered. The pork and cabbage dumplings were big but decent tasting. Juicy almost like a soup dumpling but less soupy. Filing! Green onion pancake was huge and crispy. Kind of grows on you. I usually don't order fried rice but it was really good here! Kinda chewy and greasy in a good way! Not Too salty. Used a groupon. Saved about $10. I would have not gotten the $4.50 pot of green tea had I know it was that pricey. Service was spotty. They seem to have a shortage of rice. I may come back to try the beef noodle soup. read more

I've been trying to find the best dumpling place for the longest. I went on yelp and read really good reviews about this place. So I decided to check it out. The vibe and area is really nice and homey. As for the dumplings.... they were not good at all. When you bite into it, the filling just kind of flops right down like a meatball. The outer crust was not cooked right, kind of hard to bite into. Aside from that, the server got our order wrong. However, I compromised since she mentioned it was her first day. But damn, those dumplings are literally gross. It's like they didn't cook the dumplings right, my dad is scared he got food poisoning. Will not be returning anytime soon. read more

We ordered this through delivery and the food was very delicious! They were very fast and courteous, would highly recommend!

Horrible service. As we walked in there were many tables still opened. And this one waiter walked by us several times just looking at us. Until this older lady greeted and seated us. Who just walks by and looks at their customers as we wait by the door? The older lady was pretty much the only person serving everyone at the restaurant. However, 3 stars go to their food. I'd go for steam dumpling there. The fried dumpling is like half fried half steamed. But still good. But don't go for the calamari veggies. There was absolutely no taste to it. And one plate of the curry noodles looking dish we ordered was too salty. Their dessert we had was the taro bun. It was tasty but it was a bit watery. Maybe they over steamed it a little bit. In conclusion, go there for the dumplings. I haven't tried other noodles but there were a lot of people ordering a bowl of noodle with their dumpling dishes. read more

I came to this restaurant a few years ago and wasn't impressed, but..... a friend of mine brought me a bunch of dumplings a month ago from Dumpling House and I was like... omg, where did you get them??? I was surprised, their dumplings really perfected from what I had 2 years ago!! Lots of varieties and traditional Chinese dishes as well. Price is okay.. not too expensive and portions are decent!! read more

Been there several times, food is mostly good, but do have misses. All the dumplings we tried are good to very good. Their cold appetizers are good as well. The wonton soup I got, was barely warm, I think when they cooking the wonton, they let the soup got cold, which I have to send back, they also put onion in that soup, that is so un-Chinese, take one star off just for that, the onion really ruin that soup. Service is good, even when they are very busy, I will go back, just not order the wonton soup. read more

This is one of my favorite store for buns and dumplings. Their buns and dumplings are fresh made compare to other restaurants. For the appetizer, I really love their bean curd dish, it's one of my favorite. Recommend to all of you. read more

I was super excited to try this dumpling house after going to their other location in Irving, but it didn't exceed my expectations as I would have hoped. The service was not great, had to go get my own to-go box after asking the waiter 3 times and getting our check took 10 minutes. The food however was okay, a little greasy but the portion size was great. The dumplings were nice and juicy. read more

SUPER DISAPPOINTED. We had a family member visit and went on and on about the food here. We ordered a bunch of food for delivery and it was supposed to come at 6:00 pm. Then another family member came by and we placed a second order for a few more things. The second order came first. I called at 6:30 to check on the original order. I was told it was on the way. Then at 7:00- no food. Called again- told it's on the way. (Meanwhile my Grubhub "car" isn't moving towards my house yet.) 7:45 comes and STILL NO FOOD! So disappointed. We finally give up and call to cancel the order only to be argued with about canceling. We couldn't wait any longer. Everyone was hungry and it was almost 8:00. read more

What a hidden gem. The quality and variety of food are excellent. I'm still dreaming of their delicious beef pancakes. And, the service was excellent. Everyone was so helpful with the menu and answered all of our questions. This will be a family favorite for sure. read more

One of our friends recommended this place for steamed buns and dumplings. We ordered pork steamed buns and pork & shrimp dumpling. I have to say this is the worst steamed bun and dumpling I have ever tried... The frozen bbq pork dumplings from supermarket taste even better. I was so disappointed. The food was really bad. The pork was so salty. The rice bun was a bit dry, not so soft. The chili oil taste like Coke... As for the service, they are nice, but it took so long for the dumplings to come out. Overall, we don't recommend this place for buns and dumplings and will not come back here. read more

We were off to a great start as the water here didn't smell like tap water. But it went downhill from there. We ordered pork buns and pork and shrimp dumplings and to be honest, they were the worst I have ever had. The buns and dumplings were super dry on the outside. The fillings are salty and just plain bad with no distinct flavor. It also took a long time for the dumplings to arrive. When we tried to call an employee passing by over, he just looked at us like we were idiots and walked away. So to sum up, water was good. Everything else was bad. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

This place was not great. Food was like cheap Chinese fast food. The service was the worst. The guy that helped us didn't really want to help us. It was like we were bothering him to ask for water and even order food. Then he would drop off food at others tables and run back to behind the counter. He was permantly fixed behind the counter during our whole visit. Only was nice to us when he handed us the check. read more

Food is very good perhaps better than Jeng Chei. Our shrimp and pork dumpling have lots of shrimp. It would be nice to have rice vinegar and ginger for tye dumpling. The soup in Spicy beef noodle soup is so flavorful but not greasy. The onion pancake has lots of onion. Definitely good quality food. They seem short handed. Owner need to hire more people. read more

Hidden out of the way, this is a really enjoyable place to dine: came for dumplings, got them, and on the recommendation of the waitstaff got an order of the beef pancakes. The dumplings are huge, about eight to an order: the chicken/mushrooms and the pork/string beans were amazing. The beef pancake (6 to an order) look like fried flat dumplings, very very juicy (wear a bib) and equally delicious. Service was friendly and no better/worse than other Asian restaurants serving predominantly Asian clientele. read more
