Such a frustrating experience. I had to search out a salesmen, they were not busy just no one available. He didn't say a word the whole time, I knew more about the cars and deals after one week of research than he did. And he would not honor the deal that was posted on the website. Waste of a night, glad I ended up going to Tracy to buy my car. My advice is drive the extra few miles to Tracy to find knowledgable and helping salesmen, so glad I did! read more

I was in a hit and run car accident on 7/27/17. Driver backed into me in transit and fled. My car that i had just purchased 2/21/17 was considered a total loss by my insirance and to add the person did not have insurance. After my insurancw paid off my car i had to figure out another option. I went to several dealerships after getting a pre approval and found that while some were nice many were trying to make make a sale and were pushy...i l up at Dublin Mazda where i had been searvhing for a mazda cx 5 touring. Hand down the best gar buying experience i have ever had! I spoke with general mamager davw on the phone about what i was looking for, the situation and my pre approval and within a few minutes headed to dublin. Where i continued working with Brian. The process was a bit long...lots of questions and looking at all options. At the end of it...i purchased what i wanted, and got the payment i wantes. Brian, Dave and finance manager Rosie were all amazing and so patient and kind. The customer service was top notch fromt he first phone call to coming back the next day to pick up my car. I would highly recommened Dublin Mazda if you are looking to purchase a Mazda. Great Experience!!! read more

Gave my spouse an upside down loan, and seemed totally disinterested in the sale while she was there. I refuse to buy any vehicle from this dealership, or any of the dealerships on Dublin Boulevard associated with them. read more

For months I have thought about writing this, but the time has finally come. My son and I had a terrible experience leasing a Mazda 3 last summer. We came in into the dealership at 11am knowing the car we wanted, we knew the payment terms from a national sales special advertised by Mazda on its Internet site (the sales manager said he didn't know about it) and knew the color, etc. Dublin Mazda had the exact car on the lot and it took 7 hours to complete the transaction for a 3 year lease. Yes - 7 hours! They said they lost my son's driver's license (nice tactic to keep us there). We wanted the car lease in my son's name (to build his credit rating) and they said they could do that, but when the paper work came out it had me as the primary lessee (much easier for them and they likely got a cheaper interest rate from Mazda). Just a terrible experience. My son loves his car, but I will avoid Dublin Mazda in the future. read more

My husband and I walked in yesterday afternoon, and nobody greeted us. We went to the display of a CX-9 and explored it by ourselves for a good while and, still nobody came to even talk to us the whole time we were there. There were plenty of people around but to our dismay, not one person came to find out what we were there for... it is very off-putting to a prospective client to experience something like this. I only give it one star because the car was nice. read more

Our experience at Dublin Mazda, with Jim Anthony, was smooth and easy. Jim was courteous and helpful, but without any pressure, which we appreciated! The paperwork was also a positive experience, even though there were some unusual circumstances to deal with from our end. Overall, it was a great experience! read more

I bought a Mazda 5 here a few year ago. The buying experience was fine and everyone was nice and friendly. My biggest complaint came with the Mazda Total Advantage program I bought. When they sold it to me there was this whole list of the the different services that I was supposed to receive to maintain the car over the years. Now after taking it to multiple Mazda dealers in different places, all they've done are the oil changes, even when I point out all of the different things it shows in the Mazda Total Advantage program. It was a lot of money to pay up front for 10 oil changes so I feel ripped off. read more

We had an excellent experience buying a car for my daughter at Dublin Mazda. We found the car online and started texting with our salesman Keith Morita. He was so responsive and helped us get the price down to where we felt good about coming in and making the purchase. When we arrived the car was cleaned and ready and he took great care of us. He was exceptional. Even the finance department was great! The entire process only took a couple of hours and my daughter got the car she wanted. What a great experience, we will definitely return. If you want to buy a car from a great guy, ask for Keith, you'll thank me. read more

I went for the first service since I bought my Mazda CX-5 and I was in a rush because I had to go to work but the Service Advisor Paul Carozza was very nice and professional. Paul Carozza is a very good employee and I will highly recommend all my friends and family to Dublin Mazda read more

This was the most positive experience I've had buying a car at a dealership. Granted I was not there on a busy day - the day before Thanksgiving - but it was an easy and fast process waiting only a few minutes instead of hours to get through the negotiating, paperwork, detailing, etc. Everyone was friendly and helpful - btw, highly recommend Gregory Gutierrez! The negotiating process was for me painless - thank God. Still you of course want to go in having done your homework on the car you are considering buying because like everyone they want to do the best they can as well. If you are informed, but reasonable, I think you will have a great experience here like I did. The five stars is for great customer service, good deals, and a fast, easy negotiating and paperwork process. (I was looking for a good deal, but I didn't need to pay $5 over invoice either.) Love my new car! read more

How many people can honestly say that they had a pleasant time at a car dealership?? All the gentlemen (and especially Gregory) at Ken Harvey's certainly made that possible. I came in just to test drive a couple of cars- I didn't even bring my trade-in as I was not anticipating buying a car that day. Gregory made it so easy, giving me what I asked for on my trade-in with NO HASSLE, helping me navigate a sticky title situation, and in general had such a positive and helpful attitude, that even my dad walked away with a smile on his face. Literally, he said "THAT WAS THE BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I'VE EVERY HAD". I came back again to complete some DMV paperwork, and again was met with bright genuine smiles and another full tank of gas. It has been a couple of weeks, and already I have had several follow-up calls asking if all was well with my car, and if I needed anything. Gregory and the rest of the guys: this was a terrific experience, and I am grateful for the care and outstanding service! To everyone else, this is how it's done! read more

If I hade made this review when I bought my Mazda 5, it might have received a couple more stars. They gave me a good price for my trade in, and had a decent selection. Here is why it gets 1 star: Confused sales rep. He showed us several cars, and then gave us the wrong price quotes. He didn't know why one was priced higher than the other. The car we got was a certified used, but they only gave us the valet key. Then added about $300, and another multi-hour trip to the dealership to get the chipped keyless entry. Looking through the paperwork yesterday, I see that should have come with the certified used. They kept trying for the upsell until we started to walk out the door. When I went in to get the key, one person there just walks up and hands my, over tired, 2 year old a chocolate Twinkie (I know he was trying to be nice, but the last thing a parent needs is their overtired toddler handed a sugar bomb when they are stuck at a car dealership) They did sell us on the service agreement. If they ask you if you want this, run. It is the worst in the industry. The window to get your car in for each service is very small. When you call to make your appointment, even when you mention that you will be using the service agreement, they don't tell you that it won't be covered, because you are 2 days out of the service window. And of course the oil change and tire rotation is epically expensive. They also do an inspection. Be prepared to hear you need some work done. I had a bad belt, and was quoted a few hundred to get it fixed, and they would need the car for a day. Took it to my local guy, 1/2 an hour and about $70. Today, right now, I am at the San Rafael dealership (I was actually able to get an appointment in the window). I am told it is going to take 2 hours to rotate my tires and change my oil. In short, the Mazda 5 is a good car. Zippy, and lots of room. The service at Dublin and San Rafael suck. read more

AMAZING service from Troy D! from the time I inquired to the time I walked out of the dealer with my CX-5 Grand Touring. Upon arriving to test drive the vehicle Troy was attentive to my needs and wants of a vehicle. He really broke down the differences of the two vehicles I was comparing and helped me get to my decision that the CX-5 was going to be the car for me. I returned the next day to the dealer to purchase the car and Troy made that a very smooth process. He really took the time to get me what I needed to be comfortable with the purchase. He also thoroughly walked me through all the features of the vehicle until I understood it. The only hiccup I ran into was the detailing of the car. I had been at the dealer most that afternoon and expected a well detailed vehicle to drive away in. However, that was not the case but Troy made it right! I contacted him and let him know my disappointment and he worked quickly to take care of me. I was able to bring the vehicle back in for a proper detail. Thank you also to Damon who assisted me and assured me the vehicle would be beautiful upon pick up, which it was! Thank you Mazda for making me fall in love with my car again :) read more

I recently bought a new Mazda 2 from these guys. Overall, it was as comfortable and enjoyable an experience as one could have when shopping at a dealership. The service was great. A salesman named Tom helped me out and was friendly, helpful, and you could tell his main concern was to help the customer get what you want. Of course there is some pressure to add warranties and accessories but it is never overwhelming. Tom is a great salesman, and the entire Dublin Mazda team was friendly and helpful. read more

I bought my car here over a year ago. The sales person was excellent (2nd star). I bought into the maintenance package and I regret that. The service department has been a hassle to deal with. I have called in with questions and brought my car in a few times and they have been condescending. Both times I brought my car in for service, when I left my tires were low on air. When I asked them about this they said their gauge is messed up. A few months later after I left the same thing happened. They had the same excuse. Please note: I did not bring my car in for anything related to my tires originally. They did not apologize, they only told me their excuse. Don't bother to go to their service department and don't buy the service package. read more

This was a very bad car buying experience! Typical story. We spoke with a salesperson before coming and agreed to numbers, than we arrive and are presented with a first pencil that was $125 more per month than we agreed to. We already informed the salesperson that we had Auto industry experience having both worked in auto dealerships and still went through the typical start high work your way low process. So we decided to leave and went to Tracy Mazda and got an awesome deal! Thank you very much. read more

Recently purchased a Mazda 3 (Touring Model) for my daughter who will be turning 16. After some initial discussions AND agreement on price with the dealership a young woman from the Finance Department informed us we had to go with Mazda assigned financing versus the pre-approved financing I had from USAA Federal Savings Bank. For those of you who don't know USAA, its a bank established for current and former US Servicemen (Veterans). According to Dublin Mazda, USAA is not a "real" bank, despite the fact it has over 35,000 US employees and $62.54B in holdings. I think the dealerships issue is more with that fact that I'm a veteran and my financing was at a lower rate than they could provide. After refusing the USAA financing we decided to look elsewhere. At this point the young woman from Financing physically retrains my 16 year old daughter and says "I'm sorry your father is being this we I've tried everything to get you into this car". I get deals don't always work out between dealer and customer. This however was an issue of horrible behavior on the part of a Finance representative in front of the salesman. No issue on price, I agreed to the numbers they offered. We drove the 35 minutes to Fremont Mazda and purchased a 2018 Mazda 3 Touring from them. I spoke to our Salesman Anthony on the phone during the drive. When we arrived he had both vehicles that we discussed ready to view and test drive. 90 minutes later we drove off the lot with our new Mazda 3....finance with USAA. Fremont finance never even raised the issue, they accepted the confirmation of funding from the Bank and off we went. read more

I was not looking forward to buying a car at a dealership. I did my homework and decided on Mazda CX5 was the best vehicle for our family. I went online looking for the best price and financing available. Then I found Dublin Mazda advertising exactly what I wanted. Absolutely no pressure, showed us all about the vehicle (Bells and Whistles) and we agreed on a price. Rosie the Finance Manager was able to do her magic and got us a fantastic deal, with some extras. Mike Piva the service manager came in to the office to say hello and told me if there was anything I needed just give him a call. As a first-time car buyer, the sales process can be... well, daunting, even with my family there to back me up and help me in the process. I am the kind of person who likes to get in, get what I'm looking for, and get out, and frankly, considering the information force-fed to me by pop culture and comedians, I was positive that it was going to be an unpleasant experience. Fortunately, I met an excellent sales guy named Kevin. I actually originally visited the dealership in early January, and he was there, out on the lot, ready to help. I already had a vehicle in mind - a Mazda 3 - and it was refreshing to have a sales person back me up instead of trying to sell me on something else. I had been to several other dealerships, for Mazda and otherwise, and the majority of them made me feel like I was being sold to and shuttled along a pre-recorded sales pitch for why I should be buying this vehicle, right now, today. I never got that negative vibe from Dublin Mazda. I went back to the dealership this past Friday to test drive the Mazda 3 hatchback (I had previously test drove the sedan), and sure enough, Kevin was there, the same guy as before. Even though it had been several months, he recognized me right away, and was, as before, straightforward. I did my test drive, and came back the following day to buy. If there's one thing I value most about the experience, it's that I never felt pressured. Kevin was willing to work with me and my family on price and leasing options, and eventually we got to a point where we were ready to lease, and drove a brand-new Mazda 3 hatchback off the lot. Even after I signed, Kevin was there to make sure the process went smoothly, and even stuck around so my mom could take pictures, to boot. It was a great experience for a first-time buyer! read more

My husband & I have been looking at family friendly cars with a baby on the way and decided to test drive the Mazda 6. With family safety and finances at the top of our mind we were very happy to work with the team at Dublin Mazda on purchasing a vehicle! The team was respectful, not pushy and took their time with us as we decided on our purchase. "Big Mike" in Finance ran several different financial scenarios to find the best fit for us. The Salesman Steven was non pressuring and very knowledgable about the car. We didn't have to prompt him with questions he spoke about the features and after purchasing even stayed 2 hours after his normal working hours to help us get the car configured so we could drive it off the lot ready to go. We also did a trade in and Mike Paiva was equally proefssional and wonderful to work with. We would definitely recommend this dealership to others looking for a vehicle and were very happy with our experience. THANKS TO THE ENTIRE TEAM! read more

Recently I was looking for a car lease. I visited several dealerships before going to Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda. By the time I got to Dublin Mazda I was fed up with dealers trying to get me to commit to buy a car before offering me a price and telling me that the special offers on their web cites were all gone already. So I first called to make sure that they had a car that I wanted. It was on Sunday just ten minutes before they close. I talked to Kaz Hartstra and the car was there. So I came next day, Kaz was already waiting for me, looked at the cars available, then we talked about the price. At that point I expected a long and tiresome conversation about all different options and the price that would be too high for the car I wanted. I was basing on my previous experience from visiting a bunch of dealerships several days before. To my great surprise it turned out to be quite different. I named a price that I would be willing to pay, was told that it could be tough, but they would look into it. And in five minutes we had a deal! It was really a good experience to buy a car at Dublin Mazda. I got all my questions answered, also got a lot of information about the car and service, everyone was helpful and friendly. There is one thing though. But it is not related to Dublin Mazda performance. I would prefer getting a copy of all the documents that I had signed there by e-mail in a form of a pdf file. This would be really great. Shall I recommend Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda to my friends? Definitely. read more

I recently purchased a brand new Mazda 3 from this dealer. This dealership has a true sense of professionalism in what they do. I was treated more as a client than a customer and Michael was always there with relevant information regarding the cars I was looking at. I can't say enough nice things about my recent experience with the Service Department. I was having an intermittent problem with my Air Conditioner that I was afraid was going to be impossible to diagnose. Since I was soon going to be going on a long road trip I was concerned I'd have to be without my A/C. Well, Dublin Mazda came through with flying colors. I walked into the dealership and test drove the 2018 CX-5 with Eddy Yako. I had been driving, shopping, wheeling and dealing with many dealerships. I had done my research via consumer reports and KBB and knew what they were going for. I made sure I understood the car buying process and I used what other dealers were offering me to give me a good sense of what the real prices were. Finally, I knew exactly what I wanted and knew that my car was at Dublin - the CX5 had all the features I wanted and was that HOT red. I called Eddy told him my price and he went to bat for me and got me my offer - well just a few hundred shy. Eddy did his very best to meet me, he took time to show me the car, and really they GAVE ME A GREAT DEAL ON A TRULY BEAUTIFUL CAR. I love all the extra features the car came with at a great price and I feel Eddy truly went the extra mile to make that happen where some of the other dealers I went to did not work to meet me. Thank you Eddy and all of Dublin Mazda - I love my new car. read more

I recently bought the 2013 Mazda CX-5. Michael definitely did a great job of walking us through the CX-5 features and was very thorough. Originally, I wanted the silver, but they didn't have that in the model I wanted. Michael diligently wrote down what I wanted and even went to search and see if they had the car I wanted arriving. But after seeing the cars, I went with the Pearl white one that they had in stock. Definitely ask for Michael if you're looking to purchase a car. He even called the next day to see how I was doing and if I was enjoying my new car. read more

Very good and honest I bought a 2013 Mazda 3 hatchback in the last day of Jan from this dealership. And i am very glad that they are very honest on their price , no cheating and no playing tricky games . I am living in San Jose, before going to this dealership, i have collected the quotes from all the mazda dealerships within 30 miles from my home. And their price is the lowest among them. when i showed Dublin's price to some dealerships near my home, they all tell me Dublin's price is not real, and you will feel cheated and waste your time there, etc. Now i am just feeling very luck that i chose to believe this Dublin dealership--They did exactly the same as what they offered to me in the mail---This is good but also means it is very hard to negotiate more with them in the store ,at least i failed to get a lower price than the offer :( . But their price is good enough to satisfy me. So i finally bought my car from them with full tank oil, wheel locks and 2 times free service (no extra charges for those things). At last, i have a small suggestion to improve the customer service : i would give 5 stars if some one there can give me a brief introduction or a small demo on how to operate the car with all the key/optional features after i purchase it so i do not need to spend much time on the car's manual. read more

Surely mixed reviews here. Interesting. Let me first state that mine's actually a "sweet" one (as already indicated by the stars I put), so if you are for any reason wanting to read the harsher reviews then skip over this one... My car search involving Mazda and other makes started almost two months ago. Looking for a nice versatile car for a family, we dropped in this Dublin Mazda to check out a CX-5 (our first pick) and a CX-9, a few days before last Christmas. Michael Barrilleaux was there to explain the CX-5, which he himself is an owner of, and I was basically pleased with the information he gave me about the vehicle. At an early phase of our car search at that time, I wanted to check other models from other makes so we just exchanged contact info at that time, weren't ready to jump onto the bandwagon yet. A few weeks later, we became quite clear about what model, color, trim level and options we were really interested in so we dropped in again. I knew beforehand from the Mazda maker website that Dublin Mazda had the one I liked, so I had downloaded all the pertinent info and an internet quote from Bruce into my smartphone for my reference. We dropped in, and there there was Mike B. again. I guess we both recognized each other almost instantly and I was happy to see him again, and since after that he helped us all the way. We found the vehicle, nicely displayed in the showroom to my pleasant surprise, but that was no issue with Mike who readily took it outside the showroom. Off we went for a test drive, and my wife (the car was to be for her, not me....), me and my kid all liked the car. I also liked Mike for letting us switch drivers during the test drive so that my wife and I could both get the first-hands driving experience. So we went on. Mike started running the numbers under several different scenarios and financing options (I hadn't decided lease or purchase yet). The internet quote I received turned out it was only for cash purchase (read the fine lines!), but Mike did his best in trying to give me a deal within my comfort zone. I did raise a few questions and requests during our negotiation (which made Mike make multiple trips between his desk and his sales manager), but after all I was presented with a couple of reasonable deals. No gimmicks, tricks or traps as far as I could find, so I made my decision. But it did not end there. I actually had another errand I had to manage on the same day and therefore I had to leave the spot for a few hours. After returning to the dealer, Mike continued on, giving my wife and myself a lecture on some important tips about CX-5 by going through the owner's manuals. It was getting late, and we were the last customers of the day when the deal was finalized. With the new car when we were about to drive off, Mike went through the equipment again despite his repeated calls from his family complaining about his late coming home. He even gave me time to bid my final farewell to the little yellow bug that we traded in. On our way back home (stopping by for dinner barely in time), my family was all happy. Not sure how happy Mike was since not only I made him skip his lunch but also quite possibly dinner for his entire family (it was really late, well after the closing hours when all was done). How's that for an encouraging review? We are looking forward to your maintenance services and possibly future deals if Mazda can come up with even more remarkable cars. I'm in plain wonder how my experience really fits with others... There's definitely both sides to this. Last few words to Mike B, thank you and sorry it took so long to upload this review. read more

Years ago I had a bad experience with Concord Honda, which resorted to me leaving the dealership in tears (which I never thought would happen to me). Needless to say since then I've avoided dealerships and bought my last 2 vehicles through an online broker. That all changed at Dublin Mazda - I had nothing but a positive experience, from start to finish, purchasing my new CX 5 last night! My experience started with James Anthony (Jim) when we rolled into the dealership earlier this week, asking to test drive the CX 5. Jim was patient, respectful, not pushy and very knowledgeable. He let us climb in an out of the car, put the seats down and back up, test drive it, etc. He answered a bazillion of our questions, then gave us information, let us know he was available if we were interested in purchasing, and we were on our merry way. Having such a good experience had me rethinking the anti-dealership philosophy, and so Jim and I corresponded via email, and I soon was back at Dublin Mazda excited and ready to buy. Negotiations: Jim is an honest and straightforward man. I never once thought he was trying to 'haggle' with me, and ultimately we ended up with what I feel is a more than fair deal for the purchase. It was also discussed quickly and did not require any bargaining. Financing: I already had an approved loan and was afraid to talk financing with the dealer. You always hear about how dealers will try to mix purchase price with financing so that pretty soon you are confused with how much you are really paying. This was NOT the case with Jim, Big Mike and others. They offered to see what rate they could get me, which I initially resisted but finally decided to try. When I resisted, they respectfully dropped it. When I changed my mind, they worked hard to get me the best financing they could. I ended up going with their financing which saved me 3.5% APR!! Paperwork: The paperwork is extensive (just comes with purchasing a car) but Mike Van Burnt made the whole experience enjoyable. We shared car stories, discussed the car sales business, etc. He also gave very honest and knowledgeable information on what I might want to purchase (maintenance program, etc). They tell you about the options once but don't push you to purchase anything you don't want to. The car: My car is exactly what I wanted. In fact, Jim went out of his way to pick up the car from Tracy for me, which some might say is part of the job but I know is also part of excellent customer service. Overall: I would highly recommend Jim Anthony @ Dublin Mazda if you are thinking of getting a new car. Your start to finish experience will be a positive one, and you will leave with nothing but smiles no matter what you decide. read more
