I just want to say that this place is amazing! Musa was very friendly and amazing to talk with! He made my wife and I feel like we were part of his community. The food is excellent! I had the D's original burger and an order of onion rings. My wife got the BLT. Everything was delicious but the onion rings, they were hands down the best I have ever had. Not greasy like most places. The prices are great and you won't leave hungry. They donate food to feed their firefighters and the homeless and hungry. We have been dining at D''s Diner for over a decade. The owner is very personable and greets everyone with a warm smile. The food is wonderful, fresh ingredients and quality meats. First of all Rachel and Micheal and Nadine are the best staff of all time, great service, super nice, kind, and welcoming. The food is also amazing, milkshakes are fresh, great juicy big burgers, and hot crinkle cut fries. They even give you the option to choose between regular or grassfed beef! I found my best burger, onion rings, and shake for Sonoma County. I've frequented a local Sebastopol burger place for years, the last two visits were not so great. I went seeking out a new burger! Upon arrival to D's Diner i saw all staff wearing face coverings and the tables were spaced apart by 6 feet, this made me feel better during pandemic times. I usually am a take out kind of person now a days, but the patio was so inviting. I ordered a mushroom & swiss with onion rings and a neapolitan shake ... on the menu there were so many choices, they even had grades of meat choices. This is my kind of place. We sat at our table waiting for our order to be called, I had no idea what I was in for. I'm quite the burger snob so new to me places are exciting and a little scary. Our burgers came out perfectly done! Fresh mushrooms and just the right amount of Swiss to not overwhelm the meat, and the onion rings, yum! Perfectly battered and the not to thick of a onion ring inside. Upon first bite I just sat there for a minute staring out to the abyss and letting every flavor of my mushroom and Swiss dance around in my mouth, followed up by a melt in your mouth onion ring and rinsed slowly with my neapolitan milkshake, smooth creamy and not artificially sweet, a real milkshake. Amazing!!! The bun was insanely soft but not to dense, the burger went down slowly so every flavor was appreciated. I think you can say I absolutely love this place and would let any one know this burger is worth driving to Sebastopol for. I will be back for sure :) read more

Very nice customer service and very good food! I was in town and saw this small cute dinner by the Main Street. I stopped with my family and we got brunch. We were greeted by I assume the owner and he was very nice and had some humor. I got the French toast with bacon and coffee and it was the best! Been coming here for two years now. I went to order takeout, the falafel sandwich and so far, so good. The problem: I specifically asked for NO tomatoes. So I got home and this is what they gave me. See picture below. It's frustrating to support local restaurants, say what I'm ordering, and receive something else.I hope that the counter staff can make a concerted effort in the future to confirm menu changes at the time of payment. The staff was friendly and the area was clean and pleasant. I ordered Mel's Magic Birger with the grass fed Niman Ranch beef. This was a great choice as the meat, bacon and cheese were fantastic. The bin was not bad but seemed kind of out of the bag compared to the rest of the burger. I could be wrong? Again Great Yummy Burger and a dude of onion rings. I tried to like this place, I really did, but it just doesn't do it for me. I don't understand the popularity of this place in Sebastopol when Santa Rosa has better burgers ten fold compared to this location. I ordered their bacon cheese burger with their fries, the fries were mediocre and lukewarm to say the least. The burger was ok, nothing special about it, just because it's grass feed doesn't make it delectable, plus my burger was overly cooked to the point of it becoming a meatloaf if I added ketchup. The charges of both meals didn't quite add up and the atmosphere wasn't the greatest. For $40 for two burgers I was disappointed to say the least. Leaving the location to have an employee leaf blow at 7 at night right on my newly washed car was beyond disrespectful, after putting him in check he just shrugged and continued to leaf blow on my Mercedes, ridiculous! It's safe to say I will try to give this place another shot but I was significantly disappointed in my experience. What's worse is I felt that I somehow got food poisoning as I was running to the bathroom all night and my stomach was doing the Conga & that was the only meal I had all day, a major cause for concern! read more

Make sure to check that you actually get the correct change and are charged correctly for items here! We used to go here all the time for their breakfast burritos. We figured hey it's Friday night let's go swing in and get a couple for tonight and tomorrow. My husband ordered 4 burritos and was told it was a a certain amount (close to $80). More then what we have normally paid for so it made my husband kind of curious. We waited for our food did a little math and figured that it was wrongly charged. So my husband asked the owners daughter who was working what the price was and she gave him a different amount. He told her that he was charged x amount so where was the other $10 in change? Lady asked the girl (who seemed new and was pretty rude) where the change was? She had told her my husband put it in the tip jar which my husband said he only gave them $5 for a tip. The owners daughter said she would look at the video and give him a call letting him know around 7:30pm that night. Ok no problem. We get the call, she tells my husband they owe him money and he could come get it tonight but we were already home so we said we will come tomorrow after he gets off work. She said that it wasn't a problem and that her dad (the owner) knows about it and will give him it when he gets there. Saturday we show up my husband goes to talk to the owner. The owner tells him he's not giving him any money back and that the daughter was wrong. If she was wrong why not give us a call and if we didn't answer leave a message? Yeah it's a couple bucks but still bad business when you call someone and tell them we owe you money and to come get it to telling us they won't give it to us and they don't owe us anything? We love supporting small businesses but we will not be going back and supporting them again. read more

Awesome place to grab lunch in Sebastopol. The service is great - the owner and staff are very friendly and do an awesome job with their food. I usually get their grilled chicken sando and it never disappoints. Also, they have very fresh veggies in their salads. The only thing is I think their prices are a little high and sometimes the food can take awhile, but the overall vibe of this place is great. If you're in the mood for a quality fast food burger D's may just be your place. Clean and kept up, although the seating inside is somewhat beaten up. If the weather is nice like tonight you will want to sit outside anyway. Comfortable small rod iron tables and large picnic tables for 4 or more. Nice shaded patio. A varied menu of sandwiches, burgers and dogs. Even a kid's menu. Our burgers were very good the sweet potato fries were tasty. The crinkle cut fries I would give a 4 out of 10. Not fresh or seasoned. Just ok. They have a breakfast and omelet menu that looks promising. We definitely want to try the breakfast, and will be happy to go back for the burgers. Delicious food! We had the hummus, falafel, gyro, and sweet potato fries. The hummus was super fresh and lemony, we ate every last bit. We eat hummus almost everyday and compared to store bought stuff, D's was pretty much the best we've ever had! The falafel was tasty, as was the gyro! I put some of the hummus on the gyro and scarffed up every bite! All of the ingredients are super fresh. The sweet potato fries came with this amazing mustard sauce, yum. Not sure there is much more to want from a diner. Stopped in for breakfast and was really pleased with our choices. Really delicious breakfast potatoes, perfect scrambled eggs. Outdoor seating is great for covid safety and they didn't mind our poorly behaved dogs. The lone employee working (owner I think) was super hospitable. read more
