Kale & Little Gem Caesar Salad - very good
    Haleh H.

Rather disappointed: too much sauce on fried chicken dish. Pasta was salty. And host marked us as no show on open table?!! (we took care of it with open table on our end). This place is pretty big with lots of seating and a bar. Staff were ok. - Blue Ridge Drunken Fried Chicken: Way too much sauce - The chicken & mashed potatoes were drowned in the sauce. Didn't feel good in our stomach... that said, the chicken itself was good, crispy and flavorful. The sauce also had good flavor. - Mushroom pasta: too salty, so kind of hard to eat. I'd say a bit too much sauce here too. This dish didn't sit well in our stomach either. Besides that, it would have been a nice meal. I liked the mushrooms and greens. The crumbs added a good texture to the dish. - Kale & Little Gem Caesar Salad: We ended up ordering a salad to help us with those heavy dishes. The salad was good and definitely helped.

As you can see from the photos I have been here many times. This place knocks it out the park 100% of the time. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. If you are anywhere near this place you need to get there today and eat. The drinks are pretty good but the food is the star of the show. The Tuna is bonkers. The smash burger is bomb. This place has delicious new items all the time. I follow them on instagram to stay on the know. The ambience is on point as well. I gotta say, since moving here in January this is one of my favorite places.

Great experience with great food. I ordered off their Happy Hour menu which is only available Sunday to Friday between 3-6 PM I believe. Restaurant was fairly empty and we were seated immediately. The server was helpful in clarifying that the happy hour menu was only available at the bar and helped get us seated. The food came quickly and the truffle fries were great. It was crispy, not too salty, and the white sauce was a very nice sweet and savory mix. Meanwhile the fried chicken sandwich was amazing. It was probably one of the best I've had. The fried chicken was very crispy while being moist on the inside. The sauce was delicious and worked very well with the crispy chicken. They were generous with the sauce too as it dripped out of the sandwich. Definitely get ready for a little mess.

Could be great... but just good! Last Friday we had reservations to celebrate my birthday. We decided to sit inside because the sun was hitting hard! But we got seated at a window/garage door style spot right in the sun. The service was weird, borderline bad. They had multiple NA beers which when I ordered she said they may be out, but didn't come back till our app was served to let me know that they were out of all NA beers, about 10 mins in time. When you have 3 different NA beer options, to be out by 6pm on a Friday, that's a problem, so Arnold Palmer it was. The other negative was the pacing! We got our appetizer which was amazing (will go into more detail), but in less than 5 minutes we received both entrees! What the heck, cold appetizer warm entrees, half empty restaurant, why?! Last piece on service, I had an empty drink for probably 20 mins, and no ask if I wanted another, she even came and took my glass when I clearly had food left and nothing! Now that I write it service wasn't weird it was bad! They weren't even that busy! Okay so why 4-stars? The food was good! We started with the tuna tartare, it was amazing the sauces and avocado were great, and the rice chips were perfect. I ordered the steak that had an amazing sauce, I kept dumping my wife's fries in it and it was amazing! I do what I always do and ordered the steak medium rare to rare which I have learned always leans toward medium rare. My wife ordered the soft shell crab Blt which was great, but because of the timing she just ate the appetizer and not much of the entree. Worth another try, so as it teeters between 3 & 4 stars, we will see!

Coming here from south Florida, I can say it was worth going to the restaurant. There were pros and cons to the visit. We went 2x . Once with the mother of a bride & family who was getting married that weekend. The bride & groom had dined there before. My food & cocktail was very good & my cookie at the end. 3 people on the other hand ( one being my husband, second & third were the mother of the bride & her family member ) had the worse experience with the pot pie. The manager (or chef) not sure who he was did acknowledge it and removed it from the menu. A few days later was my birthday. I decided I like the restaurant enough to eat here again. Didn't make a reservation at first because we weren't sure if a few friends were going to join us. We walk up to the hostess stand & one couple was clearly annoyed & left. The host smiled and asked us if we had a reservation. I said no & she said the there was a 30-45 min wait. The restaurant had over 12 different empty seatings available. So we stepped away, I went to the website and made a reservation for 10mins later( 6pm) . She almost ruined my birthday. They did this to another walk in. I told them to do the same thing. And they were seated 5 minutes later. Your restaurant almost lost business and in some cases did. My meal again was good and my husband's linguine and clams was though good was limited on the pasta. So my experience was bittersweet. The food was indeed good. But some of the choices from staff members both days almost ruined two important days. The layout of the space was cool.

Stopped by on a Friday night with the most picky and critical eater I've ever known: My 12 year old little sister. In honor of her birthday and our girl date, my review will be based off her feedback. We walked in with no reservations, they offered us indoor seating with a 45 minute wait or immediate seating outdoors. We opted for outside near a heater. All staff we encountered was very friendly and accommodating. To start we ordered a dragon fruit lemonade for her and a glass of Chardonnay for me. Lemonade was an 8.5/10, Chardonnay was a 10/10(obviously). Since our appetite wasn't that big we opted for small bites/appetizers. What we had: Gouda Mac & Cheese - Vanessa's rating: 8/10, My rating: 10/10. Super creamy and indulgent, shareable portion, comfort food galore. Cajun Fries: - Vanessa's rating: 8.5/10 My rating: 10/10. Crispy, well seasoned, more comfort galore. Burrata Peach Toast: This was my sister's first time trying burrata. (I lied to her and told it was cream cheese so she would try it.) Vanessa's rating: 9/10, My rating 10/10. Of everything ordered this was both of our favorites. The burrata and peach compliment each other beautifully. The sprouts had a lemony kick to it we both enjoyed. You can't go wrong with burrata and toast but this was some of my favorite I've had in a long time. Overall I'd give BRK a 10/10. Vanessa gave it a 8/10. We will be returning.

Delectable food. Great service, unfortunately they only had one heater outside and it was out of propane but it didn't stop us from enjoying the beautiful day and amazing food. Everything was service as requested. Definitely coming back and highly recommend!!

The food was soooo yummy. We got the Cajun pasta and the mushroom pasta and the ahi app. We brought our own bottle of wine which was 25$ to cork. The service was good our waitress was very nice. The vibe was very chill I would deff go back

What a phenomenal meal & excellent service. I loved the area it was in too. I had the pleasure of drinking a raspberry cosmopolitan with rosemary syrup that was incredible. The mushroom pasta was killer, smoked Gouda Mac cheese yep I was double pastaing it up. My husband had the pork belly & it looked amazing. 5 stars what a meal.

I've tried this Barlow based restaurant a few times and - as an initial summary -- if you go, you'll enjoy decent food and have good service, but it doesn't quite hit the mark. And - I'll likely try again and order different items. Service was friendly and kind, and timely. We were seated in the dining room, where a large bar sits in the center of the room. For those that recall, is the old Zazu location pre--flood and pandemic. The interior remains about the same, open kitchen, bar, tables. The appetizer came moments after we ordered, fried brussels sprouts. Not terribly warm - wondering if they were for someone else or just prepped in anticipation? They were tasty, however and we enjoyed them. The wine list represents the area well, with generous by the glass selections. A definite positive. I chose a Mendocino Grenache and then a Sonoma Cab. I ordered "Matt's Smash Burger", which at about a $7 premium over the "Barlow Burger", adding fries (which I have had before) -- created an expectation that it would be larger, higher grade and -- actually be a smash burger. The photos illustrate the order -- not even close to what I know a smash burger to be, and having 2 at my table, feeling like a wasted $14. In fact bun to burger ratio was about 3-1. The size of the burger was probably 1/6 lb max. I actually reflect today and wonder if they just gave us the wrong item? The waffle fries, Cajun style, were decent and different. I would have preferred honestly a conventional French fry with some seasoning perhaps. A lot get lost in the pillowy nature of a waffle fry, for me. The Gouda mac and cheese was enjoyed, and came prepared in its own pot. All back to sum up: higher expectations than what was actually realized. Such incredible potential, good people perhaps make up the short comings of a disappointing meal. I almost want to go back and ask about the burger because - I just didn't get it at all, especially at a hefty $21.50.

The Prawn BLT is a winner. We came for the Jerk Chicken which was not available until it warms up. The BLT was an excellent substitute. The Garlic Fries were served hot, a criteria to a positive review. Cold fries suck!!! The atmosphere is glass & steel, a little chilly; but, should be nice when it warms up. Service was good, food came out timely. We'll be back as several menu items looked tasty. The aged Tomahawk Steak looked like it has potential for a Blue Ribbon.

Nice little gem in the Barlow district of Sebastopol. Good drinks and great food. Had the shrimp sandwich and the fish and chips. Fish was catfish with a nice breading. Fish was nice and flaky. Shrimp sandwich had massive shrimp on it. Great stop for lunch.

Slammed the cup down on the table for us to pay the bill while I was still eating, fork in hand, trying to enjoy my lunch.

Wow what an exciting wedge salad served with a zippy blue cheese dressing and a surprising, very balanced huckleberry vinaigrette! Loved every bite! Our server Alyssa who is young and very beautiful hastily rushed us through our lunch. Slamming the silver cup with our bill onto the table while I was still eating. She never asked if we wanted anything else. Then she had the audacity to come back and try to grab the cup while I'm still eating. Again, she never asked if we needed anything else. Poor lil' Alyssa has no idea that I never give worse than a 5 star rating and am also a very respectful over tipper. Her loss. Blue Ridge Kitchen has other great servers here. I witnessed them and their mannerisms. We just drew the unlucky straw today with Alyssa.

This was during their pop-up setup at Lagunitas Brewery, so I understood it wouldn't be a full restaurant experience, but the pricing still felt high for what appeared to be mostly wholesale/frozen products. The food honestly felt more like elevated Costco/Sysco-style concession food than chef-driven Cajun cooking. The fries were clearly Kirkland frozen fries, the kettle chips looked straight out of a Costco bag, and the burger patties also seemed pre-made/frozen. I was honestly fine with the kettle chips, but once you start noticing almost everything feels wholesale while paying "celebrity chef" pricing, it changes the experience. At $15-16 per item plus tip prompts at checkout, I expected more fresh or house-made elements. Food trucks and pop-ups around the Bay Area put in serious work making things from scratch, smoking meats, hand-cutting fries, or using fresh patties at similar prices. This felt more like paying for branding than craftsmanship. The loaded fries and sauces were decent, and the concept definitely has potential, but the pricing just doesn't match what's actually being served right now. I genuinely hope Chef Bradley focuses more on fresh ingredients and execution moving forward, because food trucks that actually put that level of work in deserve these kinds of prices more than frozen wholesale products do.
