So many great options. Love this spot!! Come n enjoy the seafood and other options!!!

Ceviche

I found this place on SF Eater as a good spot after the Charles Schulz Museum. It was just ok - kind of disappointing. Fish tacos - overwhelmed with cabbage with very little protein Ceviche - needs more visual appeal. Tasted ok but plain Burger - good. Nicely browned and buttered bun. Not particularly memorable but solid. Tomato salad - today's daily special was good and fresh. It was a standout Fries - for $9, these were standard fries and way overpriced Ice cream - Strauss creamery - a standout option. Get the cup for more ice cream than you'd get on a cone. Overall, a let down for the high prices. The plates were also pretty chipped - a food safety issue...Beautiful weather, outdoor patio, friendly staff though. I'd come back only for the ice cream if I was passing through

It was okay but I hate standing in line somewhere that doesn't actually have room for people to comfortable stand in line. Then you still have to go sit and wait for your food. I ordered a burger, which was okay. It's a bit pricey TBH. The fries were really good.

Fish taco up top and al pastor on the bottom.

The Handline was such a fantastic find! The fish tacos were absolutely delicious--crispy, fresh, and served on homemade tortillas (yes, homemade! I'm in!). The Al Pastor tacos were just as tasty--perfectly seasoned and satisfying. I also had the watermelon agua fresca, which was super refreshing and the perfect complement to the meal. What else can I say? Great vibes, fresh ingredients, and food that hits the spot. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu! The service was fantastic too. It was dinner time but the kitchen was on it.

Many friends love this place and so we just had to see what all the fuss was about. First of all, it used to be a Fosters Freeze which they demolished but kept the concrete to make retaining walls for their amazing outdoor patio which has tons of seating. The building is totally cool - basically steel and concrete..and the food is very good. They specialize in fish (hence the name). Been told it can get very busy and now I see why everyone loves it ..

We were lucky to come durning happy hour! And while we didn't get any drinks, the food was pretty good. I got the fish taco and tostadito from the HH menu and my husband tried the burger. We also shared some oysters from the HH menu as well. Everything tasted good, but not super great. What did make it great though was(what looked like) house made sauce on the table. I tried it and it instantly made the meal better :) We sat outside in the garden patio and didn't realize it had multiple levels. It was a super nice day to enjoy an afternoon meal and we saw many people enjoying their meals solo with a refreshing drink which looked very peaceful :)

While on vacation, a friend suggested we meet here for dinner. I'm so glad we did. We ordered the oysters. fish tacos, burger, and the mendo. Everything was delicious. The fish tacos were huge, you will not leave hungry. The oysters were phenomenal. The mendo may have been one of the best salads I've ever had! The combination of mushroom, arugula and the fonduta was incredible. Truly the bite of the night. You will not regret coming here!

I'm so glad we decided to stop here for lunch - it was the highlight of our day! We visited the restaurant during lunch hour and it wasn't crowded at all, most people sat on the patio but inside was also very nice and spacious. Food here was so good. My husband enjoyed his Los Cabos Tacos with al pastor. I had a small kid's burger which was the perfect size for me, and it was delicious, especially with fries. The fries were so crispy! The service was friendly and low-key - we ordered at the counter, got a number and they brought our food out. Would love to visit again when in Sebastopol. Get the fries!

Incredible fries

Friends and family know how much I love a good french fry and this place has always been recommended to me as having just that. Our group of five decided to meet here for a holiday lunch. I was excited to finally try their food and of course, their fries. We arrived before noon and it wasn't crowded yet (though the place filled up within 20 minutes). You order at the counter and they give you a number. We had our choice of tables and we elected to sit indoors since it was still chilly outside. Inside is welcoming and clean. We ordered: Tostadas Fish tacos x 4 Green salad x 2 French fries Food was delivered to our table and our kind server was happy to take a few photos of our group. The beer battered rockfish tacos were piled high with shaved cabbage. It came with chipotle aioli and avocado. We all loved our tacos and I was happy to share my fries with everyone. They came with ketchup and a delicious chipotle aioli dip. The fries are indeed outstanding. Light and crispy and cooked to absolute perfection. My friend and I keep saying we must go back for those fries! The green salads also came mounded with fresh greens and lots of pepitas. The outdoor covered patio area is quite nice and large. There were a couple people eating outside but I could tell it would be really nice to dine outside when the temps are a little higher. Perfect place to enjoy with your pooch. We all enjoyed our dining experience and next time, we will save room for "Ode to Foster's" with an ice cream. They have their own parking lot but it fills up quickly. Street parking available. Happy Hour daily from 3-5 pm.

Soft swirl cone for $4.50 per ice cream cone. But, the guy, Noah, who was working the bar and the soft serve machine was RUDE.

Per a recommendation, we stopped at Handline for a soft swirl cone. Cool experience as you walk up to an outside bar window and order your ice cream for $4.50 per ice cream cone. But, the guy who was working the bar and the soft serve machine was RUDE. He threw my change and napkins on the counter instead of handing both to me. So when I left a tip, yes I left the rude guy a $1 tip, I laid it on the counter. What an inconsiderate server. Oh, they have a nice pet friendly "dirt" patio.

My husband and I went here for dinner on our weekend away. You order at the counter and they have menus on your right. One is for Happy Hour specials and the other their regular menu. We ordered grilled oysters and they were delicious. I got the Happy Hour fried fish tacos which were also delicious. My husband got a burger and fries. (Delicious) The fries were enough for 2-3 people. The service is good. We sat outside on the patio. They have a lower sitting area great for families with children. It is pet friendly too. They have a parking lot but it is fairly small. We got there around 4:30 and had no problem finding a parking spot. Around 5, it got a bit busier. I would recommend this restaurant.

The Herb Plate, while tasty, lacked some of the ingredients listed; the radishes and onions were not visible as in the photo on the website. The Eggplant Dip was sparse in portion size but very good. Good thing it turns out that the appetizers weren't larger as the entrees were larger than expected and delicious to boot. We forgot to take photos but they were not all that photogenic but over the top delicious nonetheless. i had the Persian Beef Stew with split peas and it was fantastic as was the lovely rice that came with it. Two ordered the Khoreshteh Ghormeh Sabzi with Beef and Lamb in a stew with rice on the side and was equally excellent as was the Adas Polo ba Morgh with Chicken. The Dates were great for after as was the ice cream. Highly recommended. Good value, warm and inviting service in a small dining room that is on the shabby chic side and can get loud with happy customers inside. They also have outside seating for when the weather is nice. The owner is delightful and her cooking classes are worth checking into as my wife and sister in law experienced a while back. Clean restroom was another plus.

We sat in the back patio, and my wife ordered a Sangria, and I just had water. The Sangria was tasty and just a hint of sweetness that I liked, but my wife wasn't as big a fan. She likes sour more than sweet. She ordered the Chili Relleno, and I ordered their special Relleno De Picadillo with Mild Poblano pepper stuffed with ground chuck, ground pork, sweet peas, carrots, potatoes, almonds, cranberries, a touch of chipotle and red wine, covered with our creamy ranchera sauce and Jack cheese. We have always liked their standard Chili Relleno, and today was no exception. It tasted fresh with lots of gooey cheese. My Relleno De Picadillo was sweeter than I thought. Then I re-read the ingredients and duh, sweet peas, carrot and cranberries. I liked it, but would have to be in the mood for a sweet Chili Relleno. It tastes similar to our stuffed bell peppers, which we sometimes do at home. It was large and tasty, but you have to be in the mindset of a little sweeter and not savoury. The salad, beans and rice were good. I love the back patio, fresh air and decorations.
