Watermelon cubes topped with tajin were brought to the table upon our arrival and were a nice way to start the meal. We then ordered the salsa and guacamole. Both salsas were good but the salsa verde was my favorite. The chips are homemade and have great texture and taste. We both ordered tacos and all were fantastic. My wife's favorite was the barbacoa and mine were the Al pastor. She enjoyed a watermelon margarita and I had one of the six or so local beers they offered. This restaurant is also kid friendly and has plenty of high chairs. The staff was great in accommodating us and our baby and we look forward to returning.

During the course of the evening we learned that she and the cook were married. She was from Guatemala, and he was from Guadalajara, México. They were both very engaging when they had time to chat with us, and made us feel like family. My wife ordered a quesadilla, and I ordered the chicken fajitas. We also saw they had papusas on the menu, which is not a typical Mexican dish (this is why we asked where they were from). The woman from Guatemala brought the recipe with her, and she makes them by hand, one at a time. We shared an order and found them to be fantastic. They were very authentic.
