    Chicken super burrito
    Dominic B.

Saw people lining up outside so wanted to give it a try. Food truck located in a parking lot. Sections of the truck window are clearly labeled for ordering, pickup, and online pick up. Truck is vibrant and easy to spot. Menu is on a foldable sign next to the truck. Super burrito with pollo asado. Was given a pager which rung when ready. Burrito was densely loaded. I was pleased to find the chicken flavorful and not dry. I do wish the burrito itself came with some salsa either in it or on the side. While the burrito wasn't necessarily dry, I think it could have benefited from a wet ingredient. I think it was offered to me when I ordered and I said yes to everything but didn't have anything other than the burrito in my bag. I did fully devour it though and, overall, it was still a tasty burrito with great meat.

    Taco plate, honestly aite

Everybody in Santa Rosa talks about El Roy's like it's a STAPLE here. Love me a solid Mexican food truck. Stopped by for their taco plate especial which is three street tacos that comes with refried beans and tomato rice. Their food truck is so easy to spot a mile away, under those hella bright lights. Plenty of parking too. Many of us were there for to-go, so we just order with the sweet folks and wait around for the food. I would say that it actually took a solid 15 mins for my order to come out, which I didn't expect. The portions are standard, and honestly the food was just alright. I got birria, lengua and asada. All were delicious, but lengua was my fave. Flavors were alright but it honestly didn't live up to the hype of a "must." I think there are many other great Mexican food trucks in SR from Delicias to Tacos San Juan and Tacos Iniguez. El Roy's is a lil overrated for me. Great people though!

The shrimp fajitas and burrito are outstanding, so fresh, and such a great choice!!! I truly appreciate the food, portions, and friendly service here!

    Super asada burrito

I really enjoy going to El Roy's but their super burritos seem to get smaller every time sadly and there has been very little of all the ingredients! :(

I ordered a quesadilla from Pezcow which is always a treat since it is made with masa rather than flour tortillas. It was delicious but the gal gave me a buzzer that didn't work, so the food sat for who knows how long before I finally checked in, that's always disappointing. I also ordered from Yuca Mami which was exceptional! They have good pricing structure going, you can order 3 of a mix and match for a flat rate. I had both empanadas, and the panucho. Everything was delicious and gluten free which is always a bonus! When we went they didn't have alcohol yet; I think they've added it back now in the new location. Not really a deal breaker for me, but the option is nice. I think the layout is nice, parking lot is generous to be able to find a spot. Plenty of covered seating which is nice to not bake in the sun while enjoying your food. I wanted to try the tlayuda from Lucha Sabina but the line was crazy long; next time. Mushroom tacos are also on my radar for the next visit. Till next time!

The five of us ventured out to find Mitote Food Park. We had heard it had moved from its original…read morespot but it was still located on Sebastopol Road. It is easy to find and they have a parking lot which was convenient. As we entered the area we could see many food trucks parked near each other, sort of in a circle. There is also a large canopy over the entire middle with lots of picnic tables and additional seating under patio umbrellas. Music was playing but we found only three trucks open and serving lunch on this Wed. I saw a churro truck but sadly it was closed too. We visited all three trucks to check out their menus and I decided to order a quesadilla at Lucha Sabina. Some people near us were enjoying something called a Tlayuda from this same truck and it looked amazing! I will have to give that a try next time with my husband because it is big enough to serve two. I had heard that the mushroom tacos were delicious so I asked if they could make a mushroom quesadilla and she said yes. She mentioned avocado would make it extra tasty so of course I added it. I'm so glad she offered that up because it was a key ingredient in my yummy quesadilla. It was grilled perfectly and I was all smiles from the first bite. This place was a hit with all my buddies too. We liked that they gave us each a beeper so we could sit down and chat until our food was ready. My friends all enjoyed their selections but none of us tried anything exotic, just tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. People working were very personable and helpful. We'll have to come back during dinner hour as I'm sure there will be more food trucks warming up their grills to satisfy everyone's cravings.

There are so many ingredients that are smothered in various salsas it's impossible to see what you're eating. Tacos are so overloaded that unless you are a magician it's impossible to eat the thing in hand without dropping half of the contents. I know, it's not really a problem because you do get a plastic fork. Three tacos for $16 seems a bit steep. Relax, it is a full meal that even this hungry man with a canine appetite was satisfied upon completion. Are there better fish / seafood tacos in Santa Rosa? I haven't discovered any. Located on exceptionally noisy Sebastopol road in the heart of "downtown" Roseville. Ambiance is loud and the eating area is kind'a grimy. Though kudos to the vendors who have clean up crews who cruise the picnic tent. Glad that I tried the place. Doubt that I'll ever go back.

I will say that the seafood is very fresh and tasty. However, someone in that kitchen is very heavy handed with the tasty sauces for each item that I tried. I ordered the fish tacos and the shrimp tostada. First, the serving sizes are very impressive. But when I bit into my first fish taco after only 5 minutes in the take out box, it was so wet with sauce, that it made the entire taco soggy and a huge mess. Immediately the tortillas fell apart and instead of a nice crispy piece of fish, it was also a soggy mess. The shrimp tostada was also a disappointment that way, just drenched in a green avocado sauce. So much sauce that you could not taste anything else. There was a good size portion of shrimp but I couldn't even get to it because of all the sauce. I tasted hubby's calamari from his taco (he ordered the "mixed tacos", 3 tacos). It was still nice and crispy. He also had the octopus taco and a shrimp taco and he seemed to really like them. I am sorry I can't give you 5 stars Charro Negro and I hate to ruin your 5 star run, but someone needs to ease up on the sauce so that you can actually taste the good quality food that you are preparing.
