The chicken tikka was an excellent choice. The piece of chicken was cut into cubes and crisped in a frying pan -- very flavorful with just a touch of "heat". The rest of the meal was passable for mall food. The turmeric-colored basmati rice was a bit off the mark for Indian rice ... it had a few bits of cumin, but definitely lacked the cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon I spice my rice with, and sauteed onions were completely missing in action. The portion was almost 1.5 cups. The chickpea curry was a good choice, but if I had to guess, I'm pretty sure the chickpeas came out of a can. The portion was on the small side ... about 1/3 cup. The warm, foil-wrapped naan was tasty, albeit a little chewy, but understandable since the mall/food court wasn't busy for a Thursday close to 6 pm. I almost ordered a side of raita, but I turned down a 3-oz portion cup at $2.99. Good thing! The server gave me a 1-oz portion as a sample, and it was the saddest excuse for raita. It was so watery that it wouldn't even cling to a piece of chicken tikka. I couldn't give 3.5-stars, which is what I would actually rate my meal, but I didn't want to shortchange them either by giving only a 3-star review. Would I return? If I lived in the area, probably. There are a couple of other good choices in the food court that I would try first.

The seasoning really came through, while the sauce added just the right amount of delicious heat without overpowering the chicken. The sticky rice was the perfect pairing for soaking up the extra sauce. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. The owner said they had only been open about 4 days. He gave us an overview of the menu, and gave us time to review it and come up with an order. We started with Potato and Leek Bolani, which is a thin flatbread that is stuffed with potatoes. It came out piping hot and delicious. They serve a green chutney that they make in house with everything -and it is delicious on everything! Next we had the Eggplant Borani and Veggie Samosas. Both delicious. The roasted eggplant dish was really rich and tasty, and went well with the Bolani. The samosas were served hot, and were stuffed with potatoes, carrots and peas. Very good! Next we shared the Chicken and Bread Kebab plate, and the Salmom and Rice Kebab. These were both very tasty as well. The chicken was freshly flame grilled, and very flavorful - similar to tandoori seasoning. The Fish was grilled, and tasty - and the chutney and lemon went very well with it. The owner brought us out a special rice dish that served with the lamb shank - it had grapes and carrots in it and was delicious! We finished with baklava and their Firni - a custard made with milk and rice flour dish that is seasoned with cardamom, rose water, and saffron - it was AMAZING! Overall we had a great dining experience! The restaurant was about half full - and service was attentive and food came out very quickly. The drink menu is a little limited, I would have loved to see coffee or tea on the menu, but they offer sodas and lassi (yogurt drinks). Maybe one day they will add regional beers or wine. Will DEFINITELY be going back here - the food was fantastic! Great to see a new offering in the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food offerings in Sonoma County. The goat karahi was honestly rough, just tasted like boiled goat meat dumped in tomato sauce, no flavor what so ever on taste tomato we couldn't eat after couple of try. Chicken kabob was decent and the rice was good, but the lamb kabob was dry, so we basically just ended up eating the chicken kabob and rice and calling it a meal.
