The all you can eat lunch buffet has a lot of delicious variety. The selection can change on a daily basis. My wife is vegetarian and we love all the vegetarian choices. Today, some on my favorite items in the buffet were the tandoori chicken and the vegetable curry. The papadam and the chutneys are really good. What separates Darbar's chutney from others is the flavor and the thickness (while other restaurants water their chutneys down). This is one example of the attention to details the makes this my go to for this cuisine. The folks working there are friendly and provide good customer service. The restaurant is spacious and ample to seat parties large and small. They also have a private room that folks can set up a private party. I look forward to returning:)

It being one of the newer Indian/Nepali Restaurants in town, we decided to give the buffet a try for a Thanksgiving meal. We were promptly seated, we preferred the booth. I can vouch for the Yogurt with Veggies (Raita), Samosas, papad, rice pudding (kheer). They tasted great, I repeated each one. For the other food options (I am vegetarian), my Indian food palate and cravings were left craving for more. The veggies -both were heavily cauliflower based and with similar flavour, not much tasteful. Dal had a strong garlic taste. Palak paneer was made in a different style, though away from the traditional recipe but it was nice tasting. The yogurt fruit dessert was not much picked, I too tasted, but wasn't impressed. We tried the Taj Mahal Lager beer, it is very good, a must try. The restaurant is huge, clean, servers are attentive, buffet is well placed and served at ideal temperatures (both hot and cold). Over all for a vegetarian meal, it was Quite an Average Experience. I may want to keep to ordering an a la carte meal in case we plan to visit again.

After an 8.5 hour drive from So Cal, and after checking into our hotel, we were ready for a modest…read moredinner. Thinking of Mediterranean or Indian, Yelp! offered Himalayan Momo & Kebob ... just a few minutes away from Rohnert Park. As a food court choice among 8 others, I was reasonably satisfied with my "Regular Plate.". Rice, chickpea curry, chicken tikka kebob, and naan for a little less than $14. The chicken tikka was an excellent choice. The piece of chicken was cut into cubes and crisped in a frying pan -- very flavorful with just a touch of "heat". The rest of the meal was passable for mall food. The turmeric-colored basmati rice was a bit off the mark for Indian rice ... it had a few bits of cumin, but definitely lacked the cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon I spice my rice with, and sauteed onions were completely missing in action. The portion was almost 1.5 cups. The chickpea curry was a good choice, but if I had to guess, I'm pretty sure the chickpeas came out of a can. The portion was on the small side ... about 1/3 cup. The warm, foil-wrapped naan was tasty, albeit a little chewy, but understandable since the mall/food court wasn't busy for a Thursday close to 6 pm. I almost ordered a side of raita, but I turned down a 3-oz portion cup at $2.99. Good thing! The server gave me a 1-oz portion as a sample, and it was the saddest excuse for raita. It was so watery that it wouldn't even cling to a piece of chicken tikka. I couldn't give 3.5-stars, which is what I would actually rate my meal, but I didn't want to shortchange them either by giving only a 3-star review. Would I return? If I lived in the area, probably. There are a couple of other good choices in the food court that I would try first.

Paneer Dosa (10/5 stars) - it is perfect in every way, the dosa was perfectly crunchy and soft, the panner filling mix was so flavorful and perfectly seasoned, the soup was super hot but delicious and hearty, the chutneys went so well with the dosa Overall, this is going to be my go to mall food.

So I definitely went in this with a new palate. The staff is super friendly and helpful when helping you order. The place just felt so clean. Even with a lunch rush, it still felt so orderly. We ordered Amy's single, sweet potato fries, regular fries, and tortilla soup. I was surprised by the veggie burger patty. All the fixings really helped the burger feel complete and delicious. Organic and delicious is just something out of the ordinary which I love. The fries were definitely the star of their own show. I could just order these and I'd would've kept coming back. I've had some bad fries growing up, but these fries were so crisp, not overly oily, so clean that I could keep eating them like chips. The flavor of even the regular fries was delicious. Sweet potato fries were amazingly crisp too and not floppy or soggy-like. These fries are a hit. Tortilla soup was definitely good, I haven't had tortilla soup before so I didn't know what to expect. But wow, there was a lot of flavor with it. Chunks of vegetables, and the broth was just so flavorful. It's sad to see a good place go away, I do wish everyone good luck on their future endeavors.
