Pretty disappointing take out experience from Yeti with a few highlights. It was $116 for 3 people including chicken tikka masala (very tomato paste-y), a $33 lamb dish that included lamb pieces that were overcooked and veggies that were undercooked (my husband had to still fry it when we got home), aloo gobi that was very oily, 2 orders of samosas (generous portion but mostly potato) but they forgot to give us any sauce, one huge garlic naan (which had a little spice and wasn't cut up), a cup of mango lassi (was very tasty) and masala chai that was also very good. They gave us a very full cup of chai, which I'd normally be super happy about except that the top kept popping off so it spilled in the car. We had leftovers but will definitely try a different restaurant next time. read more

Tandoori prawn for friend and kofta for me w naan and rice for me, no booze, just water. Absolutely fantastic flavors! Having been all over India 6 times for months for work, I have had spectacular experiences. So much so, I cook several of the dishes----except kofta! Way Too Hard!!! My daughter and I came here for lunch craving for Indian food. As we walked in, the place looks nice at first glance. As we were seated to our table, we noticed the table didn't look that clean and also the glasswares. it had spots on them and water was suspiciously bubbly. We ordered mango lassi, chicken, momo, lamb shank curry, garlic, naan bread, and basmati rice from the dinner menu when we came in for lunch. Then the first order came, which was the chicken Momo then took another 30 minutes for the other order to come, which was the lamb shank curry then took another 15 minutes for our bread to come then next the rice was last. We were unaware of their lunch special menu till the other customers that came in after us requested for it. You would think they would've just gave us the lunch menu as well since we came in during lunch. I guess the server wanted us to order from the pricier dinner menu instead. The service was really slow, especially it was only two customers that were there which included us, so four people total in the restaurant. When they gave our lamb shank curry, the rice and naan bread came 15 minutes after. We wanted to eat the lamb shank curry with the rice and bread, but since we had to wait the meat entree got cold. The food was bland. The mango lassi and unsweetened iced tea that we ordered (cos the water looked suspicious) both tasted weird. The only good part was just the garlic naan bread and the chicken momo. But I unfortunately would not come back here again. read more

For the past 15 years, Chef Narayan Somname's cuisine has been dazzling my tastebuds. Yeti is in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Sonoma/Napa. The food is that delicious. And if you're on a tighter budget these days like me, one dinner can last me two days due to the generous portions. Wow! We came for Valentine's Day and were lucky to get a reservation last minute. The interior is beautifully decorated, staff were amazing with recommendations and very attentive to our needs. I got a medium chicken tikka masala, and it was super spicy. My husband is Mexican and can usually handle spice, but even he was spiced out. I called the restaurant to see what we could do cause I already picked up the order and instead of trying to remake the order or refund me the food I can't even eat, they told me that I just couldn't handle spice and did nothing they could do about it. So I wasted my money time and still hungry because the food is so unable to be eaten. Don't go here unless you want to be disrespectful, and still hungry . Just admit to the mistake. Place is rather nice inside, reasonable size menu. Service is fast, everyone there tries to be nice. Food is consistent. Minuses: Wine list is not up to par, very suboptimal choices. Cocktails are $12 but obviously they do not have a professional bartender. Those should be more like $6 for the quality they offer. Servers started cleaning the table while we were still eating. Another server filled up the water glass, spilled half on me and did not even blink. Buttomline: if you want fast and not bad indian food, do not mind a so-so service and do not have a Napa Valley wine expectations, this place is not a bad choice. read more

Tried this place for dinner, it was my first time in, and I will definitely be going back! Based on the other reviews on Yelp, I expected kind of generic food, but this place definitely deserves 4.5 or above--it was a solid 5 stars for me. My partner got the chicken tandoori dish which came out sizzling with fresh veggies and a mountain of chicken. It had 2 bone-in thighs and 2 bone-in drumsticks for a total of 4 whole pieces of perfectly cooked chicken. Wasn't dry at all, and it was perfectly seasoned. We honestly could have split that dish with a side of rice and been perfectly full at the end. But I got my own entree, the lamb saag, and it was one of the best lamb dishes I've ever had. The spices in the sauce perfectly complimented the lamb's natural meaty flavor, and the meat was cooked just right - sooo tender. I also had a mango lassi which was delicious, and we split a garlic naan (also HUGE! Wow! Think twice as big as what you'd normally get, and so tasty). All the portions were bigger than I expected, and everything is priced fairly. We had leftovers to take home. We didn't get dessert because we were so full, but they had some yummy looking options. They also have a full bar! And regarding the restaurant, it was nice and clean, big wooden tables with fresh flowers on them all. Perfect for casual dining or a night out, birthday, family dinner or date. They can accommodate large or small groups and have a huge dining room. Parking was easy and available since they have their own parking lot. Oh and the service was great - they always made sure our water glasses were full, and everyone was very friendly. They did a great job with the menu, too, it has all the gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options marked for those with dietary needs. Highly recommend this place! read more

Great dining experience, especially for groups. I've been looking for a good Indian food place in Sonoma County, and I think I've found it! Tried a little bit of everything: Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Shrimp, White rice, Kashmiri Pulao, and of course garlic naan. Also got to try out some apps like the chicken momos, samosas, and the chef salad! Everything was great, so no complaints there. The Mango lassi was also delicious as well - super creamy and more smoothie-like, but but overly sweet. The food portions looked a bit small when it first came out, but by the end we were all full and satisfied. Will definitely be coming back soon! read more

Second time inside the restaurant after ordering many takeout times during covid. Everything was amazing! Happy hour drinks were yummy and great value. We ordered way too much food but it still turned out cheaper than our other nights out. Highly recommend the momos - they were little dumplings with lots of filling. The samosa was good too, but not quite as good imo. The nan break is huge! The rice is fluffy and perfect. Chicken tikka Marsala is insanely flavorful! I just wish my partner was okay with us getting it spicy. Sad that this place is so empty. It's decorated nicely and the staff is super sweet. Simply delicious. I had to eat at both Yeti and its formidable competitor just 200 yards down the road (i.e., Cumin) before writing down this review. Yeti comes out on top in terms of taste, plating, and dining room ambience. I must admit that the waitstaff at the neighboring competitor were more attentive. Nevertheless, the outstanding quality of the garlic naan made Yeti stand out: this Indian staple here was both flavorful and crisp without being too dense, unlike store-bought varieties. The star of my dinner was the chicken biryani, which packed a spicy punch muted by the deletable accompanying yogurt. Our order was ready in just 20 minutes, and the food was absolutely delicious. Matar paneer and butter chicken were so good. Had a very satisfying takeout last night for a family birthday. Ordered online. Had saag ghost, saag paneer, aloo Gobi, chicken korma, raita, rice, mango chutney. Everyone got something they wanted and the sides helped us all adjust the spice to the desired level. Really tasty! My favorite is the saag paneer, hands down. Order took a bit longer than some restaurants but it was closer to opening time and I feel that means fresher-made food, well worth it. read more

Back to Yelping after a months-long tendon injury that made typing damn near impossible. Life is good :-). Saturday night in Santa Rosa. We were celebrating a birthday and turned to Yelp for Indian food suggestions. I have never been in the community before and I was a little skeptical of what the dining scene would be like. This restaurant was near the Flamingo Hotel across the street and it was in a very nice area of the citynear the foothills. The restaurant opened at five on a Saturday night. We had a great booth with a view of the sunset and ordered appetizers and drinks. We ended up getting an Indian/Nepali/Himalayan food feast. It was delicious, memorable, and special. Much love and appreciation to the staff and chefs for making our evening special. Samosas (curried potato filling wrapped in a delicate pastry) Pappaudum (lentil flatbread- almost like crackers cooked in Tandoori oven. Lentil soup (slightly creamy and sweet base with a mild heat. The samosas were just drop dead delicious. They were served with a trio of sauces. The lentil flatbread was crispy, savory, and just right. Paneer, curried fish, and tandoori chicken were ordered and shared. We got brown and white rice, plus rice pilaf. And garlic naan. I loved the garlic naan. Tender and with a hint of butter and garlic. The tandoori chicken was fall-off-the bone tender and served on a sizzling platter with peppers, onions, and broccoli. The rice pilaf was a surprising standout with caramelized onions, currants, peas, sweet apple, and a slow burn from the perfectly chile-seasoned rice. The curry on the chicken and fish is a red curry with a medium heat. The samosa curry seemed more cumin and smoky-based. Both were delicious. In my opinion the tandoori cooking method is such a winner with the smoky char on portions of the chicken, it can't be beat. We had a delay on the rice (pilaf was brought instead of plain rice- but I asked to keep it!) and we received a mushroom dish instead of the saag paneer, which was brought out. Overall, our servers were pleasant and helpful, and the ambiance was delightful for a special occasion, with costs reasonable for the quality and variety of food. There was live music for part of the evening which was a nice touch. Our bill came to $126 w/o tip. I felt like everything was fresh and made to order and it was really nice to have a conversation and to be able to linger at the table. We had several servers, and we probably could have used a few more checks on water, etc. We had plenty to take home. Portions were generous but not excessive (the just-right principle). If we find ourselves in Santa Rosa again, a meal at Yeti is a must! Highly recommend. read more

Disappointing. Dal soup didn't have a single lentil in it. Literally paid $8 for a container of broth (see photo). Meats are clearly not cooked in the sauces they are served in so just lacking that pop you expect from good Indian food. Lamb Vindaloo and Chicken Tikka didn't have any depth of flavor. Garlic naan and honey naan were outstanding and had generous portions, but everything else was blah. There is a place literally around the corner called Cumin. It is so much better and pretty much the same price. Comparing dishes against each other Yeti tastes like a frozen entree compared to Cumin. read more

Last night's dinner was phenomenal! I started this crispy onion appetizer that served with 3 dipping sauces. One sauce is bright green and refreshing. It had notes of cilantro and mint. The 2nd is a deep brown, slightly sweet like tamarind and last sauce is a deep terracotta rod and definitely had a kick of heated flavor. My tandoori chicken entrée arrived piping hot on a personalized iron skillet with brocolini, red and green bell pepper stripes, thinly sliced grilled onions and topped with a large lemon wedge. The meat was so tender and boasted some very superb flavorin addition to rice and garlic cilantro naan. I paired my meal with a glass of Gertztraminer. The wine was so good, I ordered a second glass! Went for lunch - several tasty and reasonably priced lunch special - but no take for these. Service was ok though could have been a tad more attentive considering how empty the restaurant was.
