These guys are THE best! Signed up at 10:45am and scheduled for my clothes to be picked up between 12pm-1pm. It was a busy Saturday and they came right before 1pm :) I was given an email notification, and a text notification! When you sign up, you have the option to give specific instructs/directions, I gave them my location and room number and the gentlemen came right to the door! :) I told him my husband was leaving in the afternoon the very next day and he said, "Not a problem, I'll put a rush on it!" The next day, I sent out an email with a confirmation that our clothes would be here before 3pm (check out time here) and I got a super fast response verifying that my clothes would arrive no later than 2:45pm. Went to take my dogs out, and left my phone in the hotel room, and at 1:50pm I received a text message my DRYver was arriving and a voice message saying he's on his way and to ask for my room number to deliver our clothes. Because I left my phone in my room, he went to the concierge and she called me asking if I wanted him to come, but I said I could run down real quick. He was waiting with all of our folded clothes in an awesome bag and boom! Super convenient! Super easy! Amazing price (21lbs for $34, AND it was rushed) Great customer service! I'm not sure why they say I never responded once customer service finally reached out to me because I have phone records documenting the repeated communication that we had (keep in mind this all happened five months ago, so we are going back in time a bit). Apparently what happened is that even though I submitted my comforter for a *cleaning*, the dry cleaners were confused about what service was needed so decided to try to stitch up a few of the tufts (unnecessary and this is what ruined my comforter). I gave DryV a chance to reclean the comforter (which is why the comment posted to my review doesn't make any sense), and the stitching wasn't fixed. They put a credit on my account, but I have chosen not to use it because I'm so bummed about my comforter being ruined by them. I think it's funny how they offer to reclean my item when I've stated repeatedly that the issue isn't the cleaning, but rather how the stitching came back awry. Customer service reached out to me again a few weeks ago to follow up on how my issue was resolved and I stated exactly what I represent here - that I am not going to use the service given my lack of confidence in receiving items back in their original condition. They put another credit on my account and assured me that they would specify that future orders wouldn't be directed to the cleaner who did the original damage. I wasn't planning on using it, and now I definitely won't now that a company representative falsely claims on my review that I was unresponsive to their outreach. However, they pulled the seams too tight so now my comforter won't lay flat. It's all bunched up in every spot where the cleaner added seams. The Chicago franchise is apparently under new ownership, and instead of notifying customers of the change, those who ARE NOT in the new service area are left unable to schedule new orders on the website. No announcement on the website, no e-mail message to affected customers, nothing. The person who identified himself as the new owner called to let me know this after I had sent an e-mail inquiring, but, had little else to say. Even if I were staying here in Chicago, given the bush-league manner in which this was handled, I would not use DRYV if my very life depended on it. I had to lower the raiting down a star because I am trying to be nice I keep getting charged for expedited fees and my delivery is 24 hours not same day services a lot of glitches in the application as far as delivery and pick ups are concerned . I do get great service but I do not like the extra charges and the constant glitches . I know this is only a software application but it needs to be fixed I will change it back to 5 stars or lower it depending on their response . Dryv has changed my life! I have been using them for all of my dry cleaning needs for about 6 months now and have absolutely no complaints. It's super convenient and easy to use. A few times, I have decided at the last minute that I needed to get some dry cleaning done and they were always available to pick-up my order in an hour or two. My clothes are ready by the following day, and the one time there was a delay they gave me a credit on my order (without my asking or complaining)--great customer service and communication! I am happy that I no longer have to rush home from work to make it to my dry cleaner before they close--the hours they are open are amazing. The quality of the dry cleaning is also great. My clothes come back looking cleaner than when I used dry cleaners in my area and I think the price point is pretty comparable as well--which is even better considering the level of service that you are getting with Dryv. I thought DRYV was an amazing concept. I was so excited to use it and the first time I did, it was great. However, the second time I received random clothing and dish towels mixed in with my clothes. Upon further review, I realized two of my clothing items were missing. It took DRYV about a month to replace one item and reimburse me for the other. I gave DRYV another chance and was returned two ruined items. One of the items was a cotton shirt and as a form of reimbursement, DRYV added $5 credit to my account...the other item was a designer silk blouse that came back looking like they put it through the wash and fried it in the dryer. Unfortunately, when I received these clothes back, I had already gave DRYV sheets to be laundered until I noticed my ruined items. The sheets came back with green dye speckles. My silk blouse was ruined over a month ago and after multiple emails exchanges (because they don't supply any sort of customer service number), searching bank statements and contacting the store for proof of purchase, DRYV comes back with the same "resolution": DRYV credits (no thank you, your service is awful) or barely 50% of what the shirt costs. DRYV has some of the worst customer service I have ever heard of anyone having to deal with. DRYV is exceptional. I use it roughly once a week. Every driver I've interacted with is friendly and professional every time. The service is fast (pick-up at 9pm and still notifying me at 11am the next day that it's ready to be dropped off), and while it might cost me a little more than taking my clothes to a dry cleaner myself, the convenience is beyond worth it. The customer service, albeit rarely needed, is also rapid and friendly. Kudos all around for a great service. read more

I am a full time Dryv user and love it. The first time I used it was out of curiosity but after using it a few times I got hooked and now use it for all my dry cleaning needs. It's simple to use: download the app, put in your address and when you want your clothes picked up. A friendly driver arrives at the scheduled time and takes your clothing. Usually less than 12 hours later you receive a message saying that your clothes are clean, to pick a time for drop off. Choose your time and the clothes get delivered by the friendly driver. Voila! Clean clothes, no hassle. The service and quality is great. The price is pretty fair given the service and it's competitive with some of the places where you have to go drop and pick up the stuff yourself. read more

I've actually had great experiences with DRYV. My last order was scheduled for a Sunday evening and support reached out to let me know they would be running late. Since it was close to my bedtime, I asked them to reschedule to the next day. Because I have a weird schedule, I only had a short period of time to be around to get it delivered. They then used a rush courier to get it to me, and when I wrote them asking the ETA, he said he could actually get it sent out right then. Though there isn't a phone number, they're extremely responsive to email and very friendly. I will use them again. read more

Use service at your own risk! Second time trying this cleaner out and had terrible service experience. Had a brand new Guess dress shirt turned in for laundry service and when i reviewed it i was unpleasantly surprised. There was a splash of some kind of chemical on it that made certain white poke a dots fade away on the black background. You can see this clearly from a distance. I was upset knowing this was not how it was delivered. Umm...DRYV...where have you been all my life?? I am reluctant to write this review, as if word gets out, then maybe the service won't be amazingly quick next time. Within the last 36 hours I learned about DRYV, downloaded the Ap, scheduled a pick- up, was notified my clothes were ready a mere 24 hours later, scheduled my drop-off and just received my bunch of clean clothes....all without leaving the comfort of my own home and through an ap on my phone. Communication with the company was superb & I got updates/ texts letting me know when my driver was coming & going, when my clothes were ready, etc. The windows for pick-up & drop-off are in 30 minute increments, including nights & weekends which is super convenient for someone who works your typical corporate hours. Driver was very friendly & on-time. I scanned my clothes & they all appear to be pressed well, clean & in good shape. Prices seem reasonable and on par, or maybe just a touch more, than what I would expect if I walked my butt over to a dry cleaner myself in this 90 degree heat....I just hope they aren't pulling a bait & switch to lure in new customers, get us hooked, then jack up prices once we realize we aren't capable of running this errand on our own without them. I haven't had an opportunity to test repeatability, so will plan to update my review once I get to use them again...but didn't want to hold out on a great review for a new business while I wait for a bunch of dirty clothes to pile up again. DRYV is an absolute GAME-CHANGER and is the easiest, most convenient app I've discovered in a long time. I recently made the decision to stop using the dry cleaner in my building for various reasons. As a yuppie with an extremely unpredictable schedule, I decided to test out both of the new dry cleaning and laundry apps I keep hearing so much about: Washio and DRYV. After trying both services out there is no doubt that I am and will remain a happy DRYV customer for serval reasons. 1) Pricing. There is no argument that DRYV's prices CRUSH the competition's. DRYV charges the following for their dry cleaning services: $4.00/shirt, $5.00/pants, $5.00/sweater, and $11.50/2pc suit. Washio charges $6.00/shirt, $6.00/pants, $8.00/sweater, and $15.00/2pc suit. I'll let anyone reading this decide if they are willing to pay a 30-40% premium for a cookie... 2) Quality. DRYV outsources the cleaning part of their service to local professionals who have been in the biz for years and service numerous 5-star hotels in the area. My clothes literally came back from DRYV looking brand new- plus I received a text saying my clothes were ready & I could schedule a delivery in UNDER 14 HOURS. Oh, and they removed a stain from one of my favorite shirts that I couldn't get out if my life depended on it! All of this at THOSE prices? Can't beat it. 3) Consistency. I've used DRYV 8+ times now and am VERY pleased with the consistency of their service. Consistency isn't an easy thing to find in the dry cleaning world but these guys have figured out a way to prove myself and the city of Chicago wrong. I love DRYV. It's great. It's cheaper than the dry cleaner in my building, has early morning/late night service, is open on Sunday...what more could I ask for? I also love the quick turnaround, and accountable customer support. It's like the uber/postmates of clothing. Updating review. Management has issued service credits to try to address past issues. The poor experience noted in my previous review has occurred much less frequently since my original review. While there have been occasional issues since my last review, they now (in last 2 months) are about the frequency one would typically experience with any neighborhood dry cleaner. I have increased review to 3 stars given the convenience and improved response when service issues have occurred. Andrew in customer service gets 5 stars. He always helps when I have an issue. There have been occasional hiccups with the app (recently fixed), dry cleaner mistakes with their provider (Lauren's Dry Cleaner), etc, but Andrew has intervened quickly when contacted Perhaps another update will be needed if service improves further. After a $40+ charge, DRYV ruined and returned all of our clothes covered in stains, with no notice or explanation as to why. Apparently we had left an item in a pocket of a white coat (which should have been laundered with only whites in the first place), and whoever did the laundry failed to catch this issue AND washed the white coat with all of our colors, ruining everything. When we reached out to customer service about this issue, we received a brief and inadequate response that it wasn't their fault. Horrible service, horrible follow up. Will not be using again and will make sure to discourage others from using this company. Zero stars. read more

The concept is great. The customer service is surprisingly good. The execution is flawed. Like many have referenced here, DRYV gives credits. They do this for first time users, when they're late as an apology, you get the point. I have used this service over 3 times in the past, and every time, I have had credits at my disposal. These credits are rarely properly applied. I've had to e-mail and the customer service representative promptly applies these credits - would be much better if this were a bit more automatic. They are almost never on time. The great thing about an app is that you get alerts. You get text messages. I love this. The problem is that DRYV is almost always late. They give credits to make up for the tardiness, but a service whose platform is convenience can't afford to be late. I luckily have never had lost laundry (see, e.g., other reviewers comments). What I have had are "repairs" that were unnecessary/never asked for, beading that came off from the dry cleaning, a $400+ scarf that was damaged, and mis-categorizations (likely not from DRYV but from their dry cleaner service) that gave rise to more expensive charges (which DRYV's customer service quickly reversed). DRYV tries to do their best to remedy but I'm not sure "credits" really makes up for less than perfect dry cleaning. All in all, I would use this service again for "easy" dry cleaning. I'd use it for $60 Calvin Klein suit pants but not for $400 Hugo Boss suit jackets. The customer service is truly stellar but the execution is a little bit less than smooth. read more

After years of bouncing from dry cleaner to dry cleaner and often forgetting to pick up clean clothes for weeks at a time, I finally found a cleaning solution worth being loyal to. DRYV has gotten both of my orders back to me in less than 24 hours, the delivery person was super friendly and helpful, and the high touch / detailed high quality nature of the cleaning means that even my girlfriend (whose clothes are *slightly* nicer and more delicate than mine) is comfortable sending her best stuff out with them. Multiple app glitches but the biggest issue with the service. I send an 800 thread Egyptian silk Comforter to be dry cleaned with a delivery scheduled a week later. Three days past my delivery date and still no comforter. I contacted the their email customer service and it was returned the next day; NOT cleaned. They had not even touched my comforter, let alone cleaned it. They sat with my comforter for 11 days and brought it back. If I had not contacted them asking where my item was who knows if I ever would have received my comforter back or would have been informed by them they still had it. Two weeks later, today, I discovered it wasn't cleaned when I went to make my spare bedroom bed. Stay away from this company! read more

Will not use them again. Wait, I need to update this post. Going thru what was delivered I got extra clothing. Of someone else's: Two pairs of boxers, two t-shirts and a hoodie. Sorry for the guy that is without some of his clothing. Im in hopes the company picks these up to deliver to the righful owner promptly. This is hands down, a very unprofessionally conducted company. Although they have been in contact and have apologized there are many other wash and fold delivery services out there that are surely better. Please choose someone else. I know I will. 12/20/17: I received a call from the director of operations who apologized and refunded my money. Thank you Dryv for that. A driver picked up the clothes that belonged to someone else which I hope gets returned to them right away. I am just waiting for them to find mine. I cannot thank the staff (especially Jake) for assisting with my issues previously noted above. He went above and beyond to not only try to find my missing belongings but kept in touch and kept me updated constantly. Although my three items were not found, I was fairly compensated for their used value. It is rare in this day and age, I have found, that this high level of customer service is seen. I have a benchmark for excellent customer service--the company I work for and Nordstrom. Jake and Kayla have achieved that and more. I never write reviews but I just wrote my second review ever on Pressed Garments who were horrible and it made me realize I should be bowing down to the customer service and professionalism of DryV in contrast to Presses Garments' lack of it. They separate your clothes by style when they return them personally to your door and they give your fresh clothes back to you in an awesome garment bag that will be used for years and years. I used DryV 6-7 times over the course of a few months. Convenient at the start, but I've encountered more and more problems. That paired with increasingly ineffective customer service means that it is no longer worth paying additional money per item for this service. A number of problems: -dishonest pricing-- noticed a "expedited" charge on an order that hadn't been expedited. They fixed it when I contacted them, but I was uncomfortable when this happened since many people don't regularly check the detail of dry cleaning bills. -unreliable pick-up-- The first time that a driver didn't show up on time, they sent a courier immediately and gave me a $5 credit. The second time, they pretended that I had never scheduled my drop-off even after I sent them a screenshot. The third time, they barely apologized and said they couldn't send my order until the next night. -technical glitches-- App allowed me to schedule pick-up for a time when the cleaner wasn't open. The app also showed that I was getting my dry cleaning from a different provider than the one they sent it to. -ineffective customer service-- Only way to communicate is through email, which is unreliable at best. No option to text or to call them. For later mistakes, they barely apologized and never offered refunds or credit for mistakes that were clearly their fault. Dry cleaning pick-up and delivery is only convenient when it is reliable. Sadly, it seems that DryV can no longer provide that service. read more

This is the absolutely worst on demand dry cleaning service on the market. If you're considering trying out his service, I would highly recommend choosing a different company. I rarely rate companies on here unless the services are absolutely terrible and feel I should let others know. Here a few reasons why I would avoid DRYV: 1. Multiple time they have missed the pick up times and then have their drivers start calling you multiple times during the work day asking where the dry cleaning is. The issue is the app clearly states the dry cleaning is with your doorman. 2. Multiple times dry cleaning is not cleaned and smells worse than you received it. You then have to resend the laundry back to get cleaned again. Completely eliminating the convenience of the service. 3. Most recently they sent me the wrong dry cleaning. I only received 1/3 of my order. I emailed them and asked for a call back, but only receive emails from various customer services reps. The reps said they are still trying to "locate" the shirts bc they sent them to the wrong person. The next day they sent one of their drivers to my front desk and he verbally harassed my amazing doorman, accusing them of losing the shirts. It has been over 2 weeks and I still do not have 6 shirts back with over $600. The most recent incident has been the last straw and I will never use this company again. Dryv used to be a viable option when they worked with several higher end cleaners in Chicago. They now only work with Martinizing and after the last order: suit buttons cracked, mutiple shirts stained yellow from dirty presses, etc. Skip, they're headed out of business. read more

Perfect solution for us, as we ran out of clean clothes in the middle of our Chicago vacation. Downloaded the app, signed up, and placed my pickup order. We just needed wash and fold, but felt like we got top-notch service. Dryver was on time to our MM hotel for both pickup and delivery, brought a huge empty bag for our dirty laundry and retuned the clean laundry nicely and compactly folded. We just used what clothes we needed on our last days of vacation and transferred the rest directly to our suitcases. Easy as pie, $25, and no need to deal with mounds of laundry when we get home! The only downside was that the first available delivery times were nearly 24 hrs later than we had anticipated. We ordered pickup Friday 8am and the first delivery was not until Sunday 5pm. So don't wait until the last minute if you're trying to catch a flight home. read more

I originally gave this company a negative review because my laundry was late and I had to catch an early flight tomorrow. I think one of the places they outsource to was not able to deliver my laundry on time (and they are normally very timely). However, Dan (the owner?) coordinated and was able to resolve the issue. I received my laundry about 15 minutes ago and it was perfectly folded and color coordinated. The undergarments were also put in separate plastic bags which I appreciated. UPDATE: I've sent pictures showing the shrinkage caused by Dryv's cleaning and they continue to no take responsibility. Their response that they follow the official rules on reimbursement are wholly not true as the rules would have required double their offered reimbursement. Check the dates on the reviews! Everyone liked them until new management took over. Now the ratings are awful and their online responses useless. Until last summer, I would have given Dryv 5 stars, but new management seem to have ruined a great service. Delivery times started to slip, but I didn't complain as the service still made my life easier. Two years ago a sweater was ruined and their follow up / resolution made me a dedicated customer. Fast forward to this September when a brand new sweater was shrunk and the experience was the exact opposite. I had to continually chase them down to try to resolve the issue, they kept the item for approx. 3 months and now claim that the sweater is in perfect condition. At one point they offered to reimburse me $100 for the sweater that was still selling for $350. The low price was due to 'age and wear'. It was in perfect condition and less than a month old! If you expect your cleaners to not ruin your items and stand behind their service when an issue arises, find someone other than Dryv. read more

I signed up as a way to save time and stress of going to the laundromat and it has been nothing but a headache for a full month based on the amount of damage they did in just one order. They ruined 3 shirts that and lost a pair of pants of mine. There is no customer service phone number and every time you email them a new person replies with no idea what you're talking about and no record (or care to check) of your past orders or experiences. I have been trying for a month now to get my one shirt (out of 3 that they ruined) fixed with zero success. They picked up my ruined shirt to examine the damage and replace it, but now it's in their possession and they've basically stopped responding. I'll probably never get it back at this point. The worst thing is they continually charged me for services I didn't have and I had to threaten to block them on my credit card. do NOT use this service... they have a horrible service and even worse customer help. read more

Relative to other dry cleaning pick-up/ drop-off experiences...I've had better. We asked for our dry cleaning to be picked up between 8-9pm and then the app changed it to 8pm-10pm...? It was 10:15pm and there was no one here yet (no message saying that he was running late) so I reached to customer service to possibly schedule another time but then found he was running late. He picked up the clothes and didn't go through the items at all so there was no documentation/ review of the items that we had given them which was slightly unsettling. When I scheduled a return I clicked the "before 10pm" button and the delivery guy showed up at our building at 5:45pm and there was no one to pick it up. It was weird I thought that they don't have times like Washio to get an accurate time of when things are going to be delivered. On others apps I've used there is a way to track the driver and re-schedule if needed but the flexibility isn't the same here. Might use Washio in the future... Imagine opening a rideshare app like Uber a week after you completed a ride and not being able to see what you were charged, whether you were charged, and what you may still owe? And then imagine finding out they still haven't tried to charge your card? Well this is my frustration with DRYV based on my experience. After my order, there was neither an e-receipt nor an order confirmation on the app or the website. The actual physical order had multiple receipts, my order was broken out into 3 or 4 receipts but each receipt was printed 2-3 times, stapled all over the dry cleaning, and none of the receipts showed the promo code I had used, so I could not verify the total. It turns out I was not even charged yet after a whole week! So a week later, as I still had no e-receipt, and since the app lacks functionality to review order history or confirmation of the dollar amount charged on the order, I did not know if I was charged. Finally, after the full week, they attempted to charge me, but by then the account I was using did not have the funds, so I received an annoying text message that I had to update my card. So, I had to go through an aggravating process of updating the payment method, then waiting for the charge, then waiting for an emailed receipt. In my opinion, this type of delay, paired with the inability to see your order history or billing on the app or online, makes for a dangerous way to do commerce. This is my opinion, based on my personal experience. When I reached out for support, I was given a condescending answer. I then asked for a manager and I got an answer that equates to "I am a manager", which was the last straw for me. Of course at that point I mentioned I would be leaving a yelp review and within minutes the owner tried to reach out, but it was too late. (For the record, I appreciate the effort to reach out, but the tone was not empathetic at all - to me it is unacceptable to make people wait over a week to be charged for any app-based service, especially when competitors like Tide Spin do not have such delays.) Just a side note: This company is very conscious of their Yelp review and monitors each review closely. I know this because within days of posting a shorter review last week, mine was deleted by Yelp with an explanation that it did not have enough detail in it and I would need to re-post with more detail. I mention this because this was my actual experience and I feel it's important for others to know my experience when considering the review score for this business. read more

Love DRYV. The prices are a little premium but I'm totally happy paying that for the convenience. Drivers are nice, and the clothes come back in great shape. The app was a little tricky before, but now the UX is super easy and straightforward. Thanks for the updates. read more

I have been using DRYV for well over a year - I was one of their first customers - and the service has always been exceptional and keeps improving. Getting dry cleaning - and wash and fold laundry - delivered to your door is an excellent service, and they were one of the first to start doing it. They provide you with a garment bag or laundry bag and it's handy for pickup and delivery. Their mobile app is simple but elegant - you can choose the delivery and pickup time and leave notes for the DRYVer. There have been times I have contacted their customer support with questions, and they always respond promptly and make sure I am satisfied with their answer. And they take back hangers too - can't beat that! When I moved across town, I didn't have to worry about changing cleaners, and highly recommend them to my friends and anyone reading this. read more

I've been using Dryv for several years and have been a big fan of it. However, the service level seems to be going downhill in recent months. Until recently, the drivers almost always showed up on time within the pickup/delivery window. Lately, they're almost always late, in some cases 2+ hours outside the window. If they're not late, they may instead decide to arrive before your delivery time, which can be problematic if you're coming home from work... The turnaround times are becoming longer as well - even after your clothes are cleaned, it may be a day or two before they have a delivery time available. At this point, it's realistically 3-4 days before you can expect to get your clothes back. I suspect that they are struggling with the influx of new customers they likely got after Washio shut down in August. That's great for them, but not so great for their customer service. read more

Due to having an extremely busy schedule, I am not able to just drop by the dry cleaners. DRYV is super convenient and an extreme lifesaver when I need to suit up for meetings last minute. Roberto, one of the drivers I frequently get, is extremely friendly and always on time. Sometimes they are *a couple minutes late*, but can you really blame time? Shit happens. Regardless, I really love using DRYV - it's seamless and requires nothing but a phone call. Looking forward to using them more in the future! read more
