This place doesn't want business. The lady attending the front is always making excuses for why she…read morecan't fix this or that. For example, I dropped off a pillow that the zipper needed fixing and the guy said no problem, they'll fix it. And they did! When I came with another pillow (the same design, just its twin with the same problem), the lady said it was impossible to fix. When I said that she already fixed the twin pillow, that's when she finally accepted it. Now when I'm asking to her do some alterations on three shirts, she said she "wasn't professional enough" to accept them. She gives explanations like "too hard" or "too much work" and I'm left feeling like she just doesn't want my business. It's unfortunate since she is my neighborhood cleaners and tailor.

That was more than double the price of an average garment. I don't believe they even clean the items I brought a garment in with a dust stain... straight from the retail store. I've been a fan of this place for almost a decade. So, story time…read more Sometime ago... I love saying that. Check out her comic book. If you know, you know. Anyway, I moved to Logan Square before the explosion of people, and like any great neighborhood, it had its little places that became part of your routine. The bars, the stores, Armitage Produce, which is still one of the best, and, of course, the neighborhood dry cleaner. But New Kenzie Cleaners was never just another dry cleaner to me. It became one of those places that represents the lifeblood of a neighborhood. The gentleman who is always there has consistently been friendly, kind, and personable. He remembers you, treats you well, and most importantly, I've never had an issue with my clothes. Honestly, I wish I had more reasons to use more of his services. Unfortunately, I moved away from Logan Square about three years ago. I tried other cleaners closer to where I live now, but every time, something was missing. I just never got the same feeling or level of service that I get at New Kedzie Cleaners. So now I drive from the South Loop all the way back to Logan Square just to have my clothes cleaned. If that doesn't tell you how much I appreciate this place, I don't know what will. And one last thing: somehow, the prices are still considerably cheaper than what I've found elsewhere in the city. Love this place. Please don't ever leave or change!

It looks like all the old coin machines were taken out, to be replaced by fancy ones operated by a touchscreen and can be paid for through the Tide App. This is admittedly my first time using one of the Tide washing machines, but it's pretty straightforward and user friendly. You put in your laundry, choose Colours, Delicates, Whited, Bulky and so on, then you get options like Bleach, Softener, Gentle (no scent), all using the Tide brands of course. $13.75 for one load seemed ridiculously overpriced at first, but to our delight we were able to fit what we estimated to be 4 loads of laundry and sheets, into 2 machines.
