Communication: I have been 2 times with family. The waitress barely spoke English. Both times we went they got someone's meal wrong. Basic communication skills are wayyyyy off. Especially for a predominately English speaking side of town. The second time we went I asked them to hold the order because someone couldn't do seafood and they said they would. When I went back to tell them to go ahead and put the order in he said they already did. But I asked them not to? I realize that's probably a bit rude to ask that but I didn't want to pay for $50+ in food if we couldn't even eat there. We were also the only ones there, so it's not like I was asking that in the middle of dinner rush. Music: They are playing 95.7 very loud, not only do I not want to listen to Nicki Minaj, Desiigner, or Justin Beiber ever, I don't want to listen to it with my children. This place is absolutely great! Lucky, the manager/owner, is very nice and friendly. The food is absolutely great, especially their friend catfish, fried shrimp, and blackened catfish. Their fries are also fresh and garlicky-good as well! They have a lot of deals Monday through Thursday... my favorite is their catfish fillets on Tuesdays for 1.39! The restaurant was very clean and a good atmosphere. BUT the food was only decent. Nothing worth going out if your way for. I had their "famous" crawfish and it did not live to my expectations. Granted it was okay but they were tiny! They are made with some sort of garlic butter is they do smell and they were over cooked. The tail kept breaking and falling apart. We did have other foods at the table. Like their wings were alright. The only thing that was really good was the popcorn shrimp. It was not badly priced since they did have lunch specials. Our total for 1lb of crawfish 6 wings and fries and 40 popcorn shrimp and fries and two soft drinks was about 21 bucks. Cheaper than other places. So point for cleanliness and cheapness. read more

When i see a sign for seafood it always gets me excited me and my husband always pass the drunken oyster so today we thought we would give it a try for lunch. And it was well worth it the food was delicious and the service was A+. The prices are extremely cheap and you get a lot for your meal. If you are looking for a bite to eat and love seafood that won't bounce your pocket book I would defiantly say test drunken oyster out! :) read more

Love the seafood here! The crawfish are very tasty - nice size, taste and texture. My husband and I had the Louisiana Tradition and Garlic butter. Outstanding! The fried catfish and shrimp fried rice sooooo good. Nice size portions. My girlfriend enjoy raw oysters - I don't eat them but she loved them here. I did try the fried oysters and like them but preferred the fried shrimp. Perfect place for Friday evenings. Service was quick. Food quality AND quantity was awesome-fresh, piping hot, gets you full! I had the boiled shrimp(ordered them extra spicy), hubby had the wings and fries and the kids had popcorn shrimp and fries. No complaints from any of them. I have actually had great seafood from this establishment however, after the experience I had this weekend I will never return. I placed an order for 60 pounds of crawfish days in advance for Sunday at 3:00. I received a call around noon confirming my order and pick up time. At 2:45 I received a call stating that they only had 12 pounds of crawfish and it is nothing that they can do for me. I explain to the young lady that I am expecting a few guests for my daughter's birthday and at this time it was too late to even purchase a live sack and boil them myself. She tells me to hold and starts to speak to a gentleman who starts yelling that he has no crawfish and his truck delivery did not come. I understand that things happen however when the confirmation call was made I should have been made aware of the shortage at that time. The customer service and communication is HORRIBLE and the fact that there was no apology are anything made is shocking. I guess I should have taken the turndown of my payment when I placed the order as a red flag! So DISAPPOINTED!! LESSON LEARNED! read more

Great cheap eats 3 of my family ate here for under 20 dollars I got oysters. Better when in season but still good and they were small so my dozen included 15 oysters. I made a over the phone order for pick up. I arrived to drunken Oyster to pick up my order. There was no one in the lobby of the restaurant nor near the cash register, so I patiently waited. I noticed there were orders on the counter. After waiting about 7 to10 mins I began to say excuses me because I notice people were standing in the kitchen. One guy walks out on his phone and I politely ask can I pay for my food and he seem not to understand me and walk back into kitchen. So then i waits again. Few more minutes later a guy walks up from the kitchen and say "what" so I just informed him I wanted to pay for my Togo order . He walk to register and answer the phone and began to take a order. I waits till he done with the phone order and ask can I check my food. My food was soggy and the top of box was wet. I ask could I have fresh fries. He looks at me and throws food back in window and so I ask how long will it take? He said about 10 minutes so I ask can I get everything fresh at this point and he throws the receipt got really angry and said I refuse your service get out and leave. I ask him why? He said I'm asking him for to much and it will cost him to much money to make me fresh food so I needed to leave. (I have some on video) this hurt my feelings so bad. read more

The food at this restaurant was really fresh and delicious with the exception of my salad but hey what did I expect. I ordered the fish, shrimp, and oyster platter and my only complaint is the amount of food on the platter; it contained 1 fish filet, 3 shrimp, and 3 oysters. Horrible service. Literally this is the third time eating here. The Hispanic taller lady and one of the other hispanic ladies totally rolled their eyes at my family because we mentioned that the 12 lbs of crawfish we ordered a previous time was over cooked. I explained that the crawfish was falling apart because of it being over cooked. So I asked for it not to be overcooked this time so I wouldnt have to send it back because I definitely was going to send them back this time. Well the tall Hispanic lady gave my family a dirty look and then rolled her eyes. An hour and 15 min later we still never recieved our 6 lbs of crawfish. While I watched other guest receive crawfish that dined in who had gotten their way after us. I told the lady she did not even try to resolve the issue. I've literally spent between $70-80 dollars both times Ive gone. Well you lost this customer for good. I would rather spend more money at Bluewater Seafood because at least they have excellent customer service. read more

I ordered online and the food was about 5 minutes late, but not bad. The parking was absolutely terrible. I ended up parking on the street since I wasn't staying long. Overall the good was pretty good. I got butter shrimp and crawfish. Everything was seasoned pretty well and was dripping in butter and juice. I will definitely be back. read more

First off, let it be known that this is NOT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT!! Long John Silver is right across the street for that. The Drunken Oyster is a family friendly seafood restaurant where your food is COOKED TO ORDER!! GREAT FOOD, GREAT STAFF. The owner does his best to get his crawfish fresh and that may mean he doesn't have any at the moment. But go to another restaurant that will serve you frozen crawfish mixed with fresh one but will charge you market prices for them. I go there all the time, and there are many people there enjoying themselves as well as I am. The owner even asks his customers what music they want to listen to. If you ever have a problem with the food or your service, the staff will bend over backwards to fix the situation. 5 stars from me, and if you come there, you'll probably see me there with a bowl of crawfish, shrimp and crablegs, a cold beer. Overall mine and my fiancee's experience here was not terrible, but there are definitely some flaws that I was not happy with. It's a seafood joint that you walk up order to and then they deliver your food to your seat. They have a big menu of shrimp, oysters, tilapia, crawfish, etc. My honey got the shimp po boy and I got the boiled shrimp with potato and corn on the cob. The fried shrimp in the po boy was very good and they loaded it up! It came with seasoned fries which were just regular, my shrimp was also good in flavor but it was definitely too spicy for me to actually enjoy. I like spicy food but I want to be able to enjoy my meal, so I'm a little upset that I wasn't able to choose the spice level of my dish. Also, the corn tasted stale the first bite I took into it, so that was another extreme disappointment. So if we were to come back here I'm not sure if I would order any of the boiled dishes again, I'm sure it's perfect for others who like to have their face burnt off and stale corn, but that type of dish just isn't for me lol. read more

The raw oyster and boiled crawfish were good but not spectacular. Tried both the garlic and the Louisiana spice. The garlic was interesting but wouldn't do it again. Sort of like the restaurant, ok but probably won't go back. No table service either but not a big drawback. read more
