BRUTALLY HONEST Stopped here to kill some time since I was super early for my nail appointment. The service and food at best is mediocre. The hostess/server greeted me when I walked in. I asked if I could sit at the bar and she said it was fine. Immediately she gave me a menu. I ordered a Margarita and shrimp empanadas. The drink was average. I've had better. The shrimp empanadas were okay, but lacking seafood flavor which is strange because it was full of shrimp. They just didn't possess that flavorful seafood pizazz. The server checked on me periodically to see if I needed anything which was cool. However, I didn't feel welcomed. There was an odd vibe in the atmosphere. I sensed that all eyes were on me watching. The owner walked past me about three times without so much of a hello or how are you. He had plenty of time to greet his paying customer. It's not like the place was out-of-control crazy busy. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. However, if you think you are interested in this establishment, please dine at your own risk. read more

Came for dinner on a Tuesday night, wasn't busy at all. Pluses are the waitress was friendly and checked in on us regularly. Drinks were great. I expected the mariscos to be better. A bit disappointed on the freshness of the ceviche and even the pan fried fish. We were looking for that lime-fresh flavor, these dishes had a slightly fishy taste. Food is great. They have live music on weekends nights. Sometimes it can get crowded thus service might be a little bit slow, but as far a how food tastes and looks, this place is great. We have tried the pineapple with seafood, shrimp zarandeado, fried mojarra, devil shrimp, aguachile, and everything is always fresh, tasty and very good portions. read more

My family and I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. As soon as we arrived, we were not welcomed. The employees just stared at us. When the host did come up to us, he said that he did not have a table for us when there was clearly tables available. And they were NOT busy. He then mentioned that if he did sit us down, the music was going to be too loud for the baby. There was no reason for him to be worried about MY baby. It's as if there was a problem that we arrived with a child. We were discriminated against and decided to take our business elsewhere. I will be talking to the owner very soon. read more

Good service can make up for a bad meal. A good meal cannot make up for bad service. Greeted by a team of friendly staff members. I was expecting the best. Did not happen. Took a 50 minute drive to check this place that was highly recommended. What a shame and waste. Food was ok but didn't make up for the lack and quality of service. We were a party of three. We ordered immediately after appetizers. All three entrees came with at least 10 minutes in between. Kitchen was very slow and does not have control of the production. Seafood was over cooked and weakly seasoned. I would suggest a change of menu as well as recipes. As a chef, I was really excited to try this place. It looked very authentic and delicious. Very upsetting. Staff was friendly and the place is gorgeous. Not worth it. I wish them best of luck. read more

Alright, y'all know that reading my reviews I am a very honest, I am a true foodie especially when it involves seafood. Coming here the service is very nice and sincere. The girl who helped us was definitely very nice and attentive. We chose two different dishes off their menu to share with two aguas de Jamaica. The first dish was the ceviche ejecutivo. The flavors are definitely there for me! Very delicious and savory with spicy touches to want to keep eating it. I really enjoyed the flavors, unfortunately I love my shrimp fresh, practically raw. The shrimp seemed to have already been pink maybe as if it was like a frozen type that was thawed but still very delicious. Between my husband and I we demolished it all. Our second dish was the molcajete for 2 which comes with several kinds of seafood, oysters, shrimp, fish, tiny scallops, less then 1/2 of pound of crab legs and imitation crab. It's very well seasoned with this house sauce they use that comes with a major kick of spice. Totally delicious again, both my husband and I could deal with the spice but it's definitely a spicy dish for 2. This molcajete comes priced at $28.99 which for me I felt the price was high for what we were served but again the flavors were totally there. In total we spent $59.80, seemed high priced for two food plates and two drinks but they also charge for refills. All in all the flavors were there for both dishes, the quality seemed on the lower side due to some of the seafood not being fresh, the Jamaica was tasty, the table salsa they bring was very tasty and spicy which i also liked. Would I recommend this place? On Saturday for drinks and friends I would say yes but again it is on the pricier side. read more

My boyfriend remembered this place from a year and half ago - not the name, or the location - just the food. (He's not from Houston.) It took us two hours to find and it was absolutely worth it. The ceviche they give you when you sit down is incredible. We split a small shrimp cocktail, he had the Caldo 7 Mares, and I had the Pasta Costa Brava. We ate more than we should have and there was still food on our plates. Neither of us speak fluent Spanish, so it was a little awkward talking to our waitress, but nothing we couldn't work with. Service was excellent, language barrier aside. Got some recommendations from the server at the register on our way out, will be back soon with more people to try more food.
