Stopped by here during a road trip. This is a cafe with outdoor and indoor seating. I am not sure if it's the coffee options we chose but the food was alot tastier than the coffee.

Crispy Chicken, Chorizo & Grits, seasonal menu

This was our first time here. My Fiancée and I normally share a few things on the menu and rate them 1-10. Everything we tried was off the seasonal menu. First we started with the Crispy Chicken Chorizo Grits I gave them a 10/10 & my Fiancée gave 9.5/10 its was smooth and savory they drizzled honey on top so it was slightly sweet, It was my favorite thing from today. Next, Breakfast Cheesesteak we both didn't find anything special about it just a regular cheesesteak with egg on it but it tasted good; We both gave it a 7.5. Finally we have the Cannoli Stuffed French Toast we had high expectations but there was too much going on the whole thing, was covered in chocolate syrup so you barely taste the filling and the toast itself was dry I gave it a 5 for it being average & my Fiancée gave it 4.5. I do recommend you still go to the restaurant their seasonal menu changes and it's really nice to see the different things they'll come up with in the future! The inside is very clean and very comfortable and relaxing as any small cafe should be. Service was nice and food came at a good pace despite it being a little busy. Would come again.

    Avacado toast with bacon added

Looking for a savory breakfast sandwich and Drip cafe came up as a recommendation. Located in Newark on UD's campus, this place was pretty packed on a Saturday morning. I had my mind made up before I arrived but I love a good French toast. I went with avacado toast and the bananas foster French toast. I added bacon to my toast which gave it a nice crunch. I only wish there was a little bit of salt added to the avocado for a little more flavor. The bananas foster French toast was tasty. Im curious if it would have been better eaten at the restaurant instead of to go. It looked like they just put three slices of toast in a box, threw some pecans on top and called it a day. I did get a generous amount of the bananas foster sauce on the side. If it wasn't so packed, I would have dined in. There is a parking lot near the cafe which I was surprised with the amount of people inside.

I recently visited Drip Café for a to go breakfast. I ordered The Cali sandwich. Lightly toasted sourdough bread was filled with a yolky egg, creamy avocado, flavorful garlic aioli, and crisp arugula. Overall this was a delicious sandwich and a nice way to start the day.

This establishment came highly recommended by a dear friend of mine for several reasons: 1) they do amazing work supporting locals and the community, 2) the food is tasty, 3) the price is reasonable. After visiting the Newark, DE location, I will endorse the latter points. Though I learned nothing of their philanthropic endeavors, my sandwich was scrumptious. It's contents were the correct amount to make me feel full but not gorged. The bacon was crispy. The bread seemed fresh. Nothing to complain about in the Florentine sandwich. The pumpkin stuffed French toast was exploding at the seams with pumpkin and raspberry deliciousness. The slices are thick and the topping plentiful. Seating options are many, however almost all tables were accompanied by cold metal chairs. For reasons of cleanliness these are easy to wipe down but wouldn't be my first choice in an already somewhat chilly establishment. The menu has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options in addition to various normal offerings. They're open for breakfast but don't expect your typical breakfast menu-- many items come in the form of sandwiches. Overall, this is a fine place to grab a bite.

A great spot to work! Wonderful window seat with plugins. Waffle was yummy. Staff was friendly. Excited to try my apple pie muffin for afternoon snack.

Cute little cafe that is good for on the go or for dining in. I got the pumpkin waffles which were very tasty! The latte was good, it could have a little more pumpkin flavor but maybe Im just being greedy. Overall great and fast experience!

Meh. I was going to get my nails done in the area and felt like breakfast. Checked it out on yelp first of course and headed by. The inside was dark so I opted to eat outside. The menu features all day breakfast with lunch options. Maybe I just came at a bad time. The display cases were empty. Nothing was peaking my interest. I decided on double pancakes with a side of bacon (3 strips). The outside tables were in desperate need of a wipe down. I had to flag the waitstaff down for that and she brought out the saddest, dirty wet rag to wipe down the table. Sigh. Ok. The pancakes were crumbly. Like over-mixed batter. It's too bad because I couldn't stop eating the bacon ! It was thick and crispy and delicious. Overall my experience was tampered by the wet rag incident and because the tables were so sticky it attracted flies. So, eat inside, I guess?

A quick burrito and coffee to go at this dine or take out that is frequented by University of Delaware students and local residents. I stopped in Friday morning on my way out of Newark. The place is clean and well staffed. The service was prompt and my order came out quick. The burrito was delicious and the coffee was strong. That was much needed for the long ride home through Beltway traffic. I took it to go and dined off the hood of my car in the permitted parking lot across the street. Parking around the university is restricted and all of the lots require student / employee permits. There is no street parking in front. Overall however, it was a great experience.

I was dining alone so I was put at the counter which was interesting because I saw the kitchen staff preparing all meals. Con of this was hearing the host argue with a staff member or two! I ordered the mushroom gravy and it came with hash browns. It was extremely flavorful but maybe too rich? Everything was an add on for this. Egg and biscuit were an extra $6. I can tell this place is inventive and takes great care with their food so I see why the prices are so high. Kitchen staff also gets tipped out. Everything was different and good but my biscuit was so so dry which was sad! The scrapple also came out black. Some things I'd hopped were better!

Subject: Formal Complaint - Unacceptable Staff Conduct and Management Failure…read more To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a deeply troubling experience I had at your Turning Point Restaurant location. What occurred was far below any reasonable standard of customer service and left me feeling unsafe and disrespected. During my visit, a male server verbally accosted me -- using profane language, making threatening remarks, and treating me in a wholly disrespectful manner. This behavior was entirely unprovoked and completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone a dining establishment. What made the situation worse was the response from management. Despite the incident taking place, the manager on duty took no meaningful action to address the situation, offer an apology, or ensure my safety and comfort as a customer. Their inaction sent a clear message that this kind of conduct is tolerated at your restaurant. I am requesting the following: 1. A formal written acknowledgment of this complaint 2. A full investigation into the conduct of the staff member involved 3. Appropriate disciplinary action against both the server and the manager who failed to act 4. A direct response to me outlining the steps taken I sincerely hope Turning Point takes this matter seriously. No customer should ever be subjected to threats or verbal abuse, and no manager should stand by while it happens. I look forward to your prompt response. Sincerely, Kwame
