Food: I ordered breakfast. Scrapple, home fried, eggs and toast When the scrapple arrived it tasted like fish . I've never had a pig that spent it's time in fishing. Anyway, I called the waitress over (fortunately not my daughter-in-law) and let her know that my scrapple had been cooked in a deep fryer (don't places put scrapple on the griddle any more) and it tasted like fish so (1) the fish fryer is definitely past due for an oil change; and I would appreciate it if they could bring me a piece of scrapple cooked on the griddle. The food was honestly delicious and place was clean. The only reason I'm deducting 2 stars is due to the service. My father and I have been here in the past and we always had great service. This time we went there and there were new people (new to us) as we haven't been here in so long and the waitress was bad. The main thing that was truly disgusting was when we asked for napkins she went off a dirty table and got what looked like to her 2 pieces of napkins. I had to ask the Spanish cleaning lady for fresh napkins. Why would you give us napkins from a table who left? We had to ask for refills, gave us dirty menus, we waited for her and when we needed the check she was no where to be found. Really good breakfast place. The waffles are fluffy and delicious. Wish the side of fruit was local seasonal fruit. My dad got eggs with a side of hash and he said both were great. My friend that was with us had a great meal as well - he got a breakfast sandwich and also said the eggs in it were perfect. Will definitely be back. read more

One of my favorite places for breakfast. Service is good and breakfast comes out great every single time.

Sat at the counter with a couple friends before I headed out of Delaware. Last time I ate at Guilday's, I got an omelette or something; this time, I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich off the specials menu. Priced at $4, I kept my expectations moderate. And since it was lunchtime, I ordered a Miller Lite. The bottle they gave me was dated 2013, and featured an outdated label. When I popped the cap, there was rust on the rim. Guess people don't order these too often, but it was two bucks so whatever. The BBQ pork sandwich wasn't great. It was loaded with meat, but that meat was average at best. The barbeque sauce was light and flavorless. My lunch companions enjoyed their meals, and I ate as much as I wanted. Overall, not too bad. Super cheap eats, comfort food, Southern blah blah blah. If you're eating here, you know what you're getting yourself in to. I'd recommend not straying too far from the breakfast offerings; they haven't quite mastered the pork sandwich yet. read more

Was starving for breakfast and found this gem in Yelp. I knew I was close to Jersey when I saw the whole section on the menu for breakfast hoagies. I had to have one! I ordered it with bacon, cheese, and a medium egg. My friend had the polish sausage and egg. I had a small OJ and should have ordered a large. The place was really full and customers were all types of people. Truck drivers, travelers, elderly couples, friends meeting up, and cute kids. OMG!!! My egg hoagie was delicious. While eating it I told my friend, "don't talk to me now." Lol. With only four ingredients, every ingredient has to be perfect. And they were. The egg was cooked exactly medium and the yolk dripped out of the sandwich. The bacon was crispy and salty. The cheese was flavorful and melted into the hoagie. The "roll" was softer than I was expecting but complimented the other three ingredients perfectly. Wow. I am putting this place in my regular rotation when driving North. GF and I both ordered the same thing: the special with two eggs (prepared how you like), two strips of bacon, two sausage links, and two pancakes. The GF also got an order of home fries and beef hash. I also ordered a large milk. First of all, at least two other families came in after we did and received their food before we did and they didn't appear to be smaller orders than ours. When we finally DID receive our food it was cold. My milk had a few pieces of dust floating around on the surface that I opted to remove with a piece of napkin. The home fries and beef hash sucked. Got the creamed chipped beef on toast and the waffle. The waffle was definitely a surprise. The saltiness in the mix was right on point and the texture was great. The creamed beef was good too. Not too salty but definitely stopped my hunger right away. The coffee was okay. Good price, friendly staff and was a very filling brunch. Customer Service is nonexistent. I walked in with about 4 other tables to be seated and no one spoke to us. I had to ask the woman who was staring at her screen at the receptionist table and she seemed annoyed and said it was seat yourself. We finally found a spot at the counter and then noticed plates upon plates of food being stacked on top of each other at the serving pass. There were two waitresses at the counter and neither one even looked at us or acknowledged our presence. When I asked if we could get a menu she seemed too busy.
