We visited Ekelekua on April 9 for breakfast with a party of four while traveling from Delaware, and it was our first time there. Our server, Toni, was absolutely amazing--he had a wonderful personality, was incredibly personable, and made us feel so welcome. He was kind, attentive, and truly a pleasure to have taking care of our table. The food was outstanding--the best we've had on our entire trip. The owner even came over to greet us and check on our experience, which made our visit feel even more special. This restaurant is a must-visit--you won't be disappointed. Beat the crowd, seated at about 8am, Saturday, 5/2. We go halvies on most meals. She had ham, tomato, onion, omelette. I had the big breakfast. We were very happy with the omelette. The chef/cook whipped up an omelette better than Perkins! The total was less than Perkins too! Yum, yum, yum! I believe we found our "go to" breakfast spot. To set expectations: It was Wednesday lunch, packed inside, even the waiting seating was full. We ordered at the counter it was quick ordering. They were pretty accurate about the timing of our to go order being ready. About 15 mins. We ordered a Rueben and a grilled cheese with tomato. They were both smothered in butter. I am from Alabama- I love a peice of Texas toast with butter but it was a little much - almost the wet look. The grilled cheese came with a small bag of chips. The fries were not hot or delicious, but the sandwiches were good. We were there to visit the Mt. Cuba Center. It's a country diner. The locals love it. Found this no-frills and affordable family cafe after exploring the botanic gardens at nearby Mt. Cuba Center. Breakfast is served all day (closes at 3 on weekdays and 2 on weekends) and the food is classic, filling diner fare. Friendly, fast service. Located on the front corner of a busy strip mall. Plenty of parking outside but limited seating inside. read more

Today was my last visit here. I called to place an order and was asked to hold and the call was disconnected. After I got there, and waited to be helped, I mentioned that I had called but got disconnected and lady explained they were very busy but nobody hung up on me. I didn't say with an attitude but apparently she took offense. I handed her the money and she put my change on the counter. I work in customer service, and that is one of the most disrespectful and rudest things you can do to a customer. I like the convenience of your his place as it's in walking distance to my job but from now on, I will drive to The Well, Wawa, or Starbucks. They will not get another dime of my money. read more

Quinn's Cafe is a nice little gem in Hockessin DE, open for breakfast and lunch. Nice homelike cooking and they are always quite busy. The coffee could be better but it suits the purpose for most. The service is great. The only complaint that I have is that if you sit in the back, the smell of the disinfectant they use in the dishwater does not set well with my appetite (but that's just me). read more

First time trying it out and would 100 percent order again! Pancakes are the highlight.... they are really huge and one is more than enough to share ! We went to breakfast. It is a quaint dinner style place. We had breakfast omelets with generous portions of eggs. Because it's a small facility & a popular local establishment, on a busy morning such as Sunday there may be a wait. It's well worth the wait, though. My son loves the huge chicken finger & FF platter, Which is even offered for breakfast. We visited on Sunday, and they were following proper CDC guidelines, which included closing off specific booths to practice proper social distancing. Servers were wearing masks as well. I felt safe and comfortable dining there. My daughter's preschool, The Hockessin Montessori, orders bagged lunches from Quinn's, too.
