Customer Service is nonexistent. I walked in with about 4 other tables to be seated and no one spoke to us. I had to ask the woman who was staring at her screen at the receptionist table and she seemed annoyed and said it was seat yourself. We finally found a spot at the counter and then noticed plates upon plates of food being stacked on top of each other at the serving pass. There were two waitresses at the counter and neither one even looked at us or acknowledged our presence. When I asked if we could get a menu she seemed too busy. Old fashion country breakfast/dinner/ bar place. What you see is what you get. No complaints here. Food and staff were good and polite. The decor maybe outdated and could use overhaul, but I wasn't there for that. My son & I stopped in after his morning dental appointment, the place was busy for a Friday morning. We were told we could sit anywhere we wanted. So we took and seats and ordered the breakfast specials, 2 hotcakes, bacon, sausages, eggs and coffee, hot tea for my little guy. Total 11.50 plus our tip. My little guy loved their bacon, so he took my portions and I devoured his sausages. Food and staff "A" okay. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. Finding your own seat on a busy Sunday morning can be a little complicated, but I'm willing to bet most people will trade this inconvenience for the inexpensive food. The service left a little to be desired, but the restaurant was very busy. I had hash and eggs. the hash tasted like it was out of a can. My wife's omelet however, was hearty and deliscous. We also ordered pancakes for our kids. They were good, but nothing to write home about. If you're looking for an inexpensive standard diner type breakfast, this is your place. read more

This is our local breakfast spot. Every time we go, the servers are attentive, the orders are correct, the food comes out quickly and is always hot and consistent. The decor looks a pit hodge-podged and has a western/1980's feel to the furniture but when a place is open 8 hours or so a day and serves only breakfast, who cares?!? Went on a Sunday around 1030. The food was good. I got a nice crispy waffle with a side of scrapple. My husband got a egg hoagie with cheese. Very inexpensive. Basic diner food. However, the restaurant is a little run down and staffed with people who don't seem to want to smile. Our server never checked on us. Just came to take our order and drop off the check. My husband and I wanted something new and different for breakfast, so we looked on yelp and found Guilday's! I got the sausage and gravy and a bacon breakfast sandwich. The Biscuits were so soft and the gravy had flavor to it! The breakfast sandwich was okay, still taste great! My husband got the chipped beef it said it was the best he's had in a long time. He also got the scrapple breakfast sandwich which was just as great as his chipped beef. We will definitely be back! They do start picking up the customers around 930 so come before then. read more

Another hole in the wall type of restaurant. I have passed by many times here and never thought of going until I was looking for a brunch spot closed by. I found them on yelp bases on their reviews. How glad we went. The food there feels like home. The atmosphere feels like home too. The place was full when we were there but not packed. It didn't feel crowded either. Stopped in for breakfast after a dog show. Misty was our waitress, she was not welcoming and came off VERY short from the start. I said I know we missed the "breakfast special" which ran to 11, but could I still get it at a different ttyt price? She replies, "Yeah, you order it ala cart!" Really gruff... So I ordered another breakfast with eggs and bacon and toast. At the next table over, the man had gotten raisin bread, that was BLACK. They seemed like regulars as they were chatty with her...so I said does the bread always come out that way? And then said "if so, I should ask for it golden" So then before I could ask Misty, the gal at the table said "she doesn't want her toast burnt like that!" Misty replies " that's not burnt it's raisin bread. The guy said when Misty was around , that's pretty done! So anyway, here comes breakfast with burnt toast!! I said can they just make it golden, Like normal toast ...she replies "it only went thru the toaster once!" And turns Around rolling her eyes, sighed, and mumbled something under her breath! SUPER RUDE making a scene in this small dinner! Here's a news flash!! The toaster machine is set TOO HIGH OR IT'S BROKE!! Toast should be golden brown unless someone likes it burnt/well done/black!! She comes back out with another set of toast, also burnt, I just say I'll take it but she takes it back, So she finally brings me out nice golden toast 5 minutes later! I've just discovered Guilday's Restaurant as a great place to have breakfast. I love to go out for breakfast. I found them on Yelp and was impressed by the reviews. I went there with a friend last week and was impressed by their menu and the great prices. More importantly, the food was great and the portions are generous. We felt welcome the minute we arrived. Janice was our waitress and she is excellent. She made sure we had coffee right away, explained all the menu options and was very friendly. We loved it so much we went back today. So I have to add another review. We have been going here for breakfast about 3-4 times a week. It's cheap and easy. The last five times we've ordered our eggs they have been way overdone. We order them over easy and they have been cooked all the way through and tasted like hard boiled eggs. We called several times and nothing was done by management. Well yesterday we called and left a message for the owner. I seriously doubted getting a call back. Well this morning she called my bf and let him explain what's been going on. We really enjoy the food and service and want to give them another shot. She stated she would take care of the situation in the kitchen and offered us a $50 gift certificate. I was blown away. $50?!?! My bf had to ask her if he heard her correctly. Big establishments maybe offer a free meal or dessert but never $50. She wanted to make things right for all our past experiences. We ordered our breakfast today and the total was $13. We used our certificate today and she gave us the remaining balance in cash. I was shocked. I thought she would just subtract the amount and give us a new certificate. Either way we will end up spending the money in this diner. Way to go Guildays! I am really confused as to why this place is so busy. We went there for breakfast and it was the worst diner breakfast ever. I ordered 2 eggs, toast, and home fries.
