A-ok! I really feel that every diner should get three stars actually - like that's kinda the definition of a diner - if it's getting more than 3 stars it's trying too hard, it's not what I want when I want a diner! So yeah, come to the diner! Service was quick. Drinks were large. My hash browns were well browned. My sausage gravy on my biscuit was creamy and thick. Portion sizes were moderate. Kids portion sizes were on the large size. Prices were moderate. We all enjoyed our meal. Nothing fancy here. Easy in and out.

We had a great lunch at the Odessa Diner, with very friendly service. This is the kind of business that makes me happy, because it is evident how much pride the proprietor takes in his establishment. Everything was spotlessly clean, organized and well maintained. Give it a try! Ample portions and good, fresh food!

Our waitress Logan was friendly and engaging and helped us try scrapple (delicious) and a little side of Old Bay seasoning.

The staff had no direction as the manager was the bar tender and garbage was left on the tables. They ran out of white wine, oranges to make orange crushes and other basic drinks on one of the busiest nights! Who runs this place??? The band was great but when we asked management to move some table so we could dance they did not! There was no room to enjoy a wonderful band. Some of the employees walked around with drinks in there hands and did not work or they were on there cell phones. Do your Job!!!! This country was not built by people that did not work! Also the bathroom doors don't close/lock and there where piles of tiles holding open the second floor door to the stairwell, talk about a tripping hazard. Two customers returned their "to go food" orders while I was there because they were either burned or not the correct order! Sad this place used to be good but now it's a joke! My neighbor took her girlfriends here for dinner one month ago and they left because they never got their food order! Send in Bar Rescue!!! this place could be great on this side of town but not with who is running it now!!!Who owns this place because I am sure they are loosing tons of $$$$! Sure hope it is not the association! The manager can't do it all and most of his staff is drinking their profits along with the locals! Go to Cantwell's!

In two years I've seen the theme/menu change a few times. From steakhouse and prime rib to short order sandwiches and apps. I don't think they ever really plan on being busy, because when they do they tend to lack certain professional traits. The bar staff never seems to be up to date with the specials and the items they are out of. You have to ask a lot of questions or you may miss out or risk being disappointed. The most recent time we came was this past Saturday afternoon and it was the best yet. They finally had helpful signage, a new chef and solid food. The cheesesteak rivaled Philly (even though we ordered two just to find out they only had one roll left). House cut fries and $2 IPAs were really good. Looks like they finally woke up or hired a manager who knows a thing or two.

I'm glad, because with it being slightly off the 'main drag' in Middletown, we might not have seen it otherwise. We arrived towards the end of the dinner rush hour, and fortunately were seated over by where a musician was playing. It was a busy night, and we were tired and hungry from a day at the faire. As it was busy, there were sportsball games going and the musician playing, shouting was required for discussion and we had some funny misunderstandings YOUR GRAPE IS ON THE MOON? WHAT? Oh, your gravy is a little cool! :) The musician was great, playing lots of 70s and 80s hits, and he seemed to enjoy us singing along and dancing. We are, after all, rennies. We're glad he was enjoying us as much as we were enjoying his music. We got drinks and menus quickly, and our server was attentive without being pushy. After a few minutes looking over the menu, she appeared and we ordered. I got the Stampede Burger, while one of my friends got the Prime Dip sandwich (AKA French Dip), and one got chicken fingers. All came in reasonable time and were quite good, hearty food. So, why the one star off? Dessert. Could we have a brownie sundae? Out of brownies. OK, how about chocolate cake? Out of that, too. Uh...red velvet? Out. Basically everything chocolate. Sigh. Yeah, it was busy but not insane. We ended up not getting dessert, and it was disappointing. Whoever's managing food orders and prep, please do better. Also, if it's not available, it would have been great for the server to say so up front, that way she didn't have to tell us no 3 times. Parking in a private lot, plentiful. We would go again, we just will plan on dessert elsewhere.

We are glad we finally did. 1762 was formerly known as The Warwick Hotel, and that's the prominent markings you'll see from the street. It is a really excellent spot on the square in Hummelstown with cozy charm and exceptional service. My companion was initially skeptical when she saw wine on tap but immediately changed her mind when she saw the offerings--good quality and reasonable price point. The beer selection is also good. Not a huge number of beers but well-selected. Although we didn't have a full meal we did enjoy the sausage and honey appetizer, which was outrageously tasty with sausage from a local butcher in Hershey. Service was efficient and friendly, especially considering the bar (where we sat) was hopping. We also met the owner, Dave, who rolled up his sleeves to assist at the bar while also personally greeting customers. Our biggest regret is that we waited so long to finally visit...and we'll definitely be back soon.

We started off with the mushroom flatbread, which was delicious. Hubby had the mahi-mahi special and I had a shrimp dish. We will definitely come back when we are in the area!
