This is a review of the location. We came here on Sunday and there were three large trucks filling up the entire car park. We couldn't see and directions for additional parking. Street parking was clearly marked as "No Parking". So we left. Would appreciate a reply on Yelp about where to park or if reservations are needed. UPDATE: owner responded and recommended side street parking adjacent to the restaurant. We look forward to trying the restaurant soon. read more

The shrimp & grits and pastries are so good, I get highly upset when I crave it any day besides Sunday lol. Make sure to go early or call your orders in because sometimes they do sell out of certain items. The setting and service is so sweet and homey. read more

My new favorite spot! I've been 3 times so far and will be going again next week with family. Reservations are recommended. The first time I went I planned to take my order to go, but I was encouraged to have a seat and I happily ate my biscuits and gravy there. The portions were HUGE and everything is of wonderful quality and value. I came back the following weekend with a group of friends and another fantastic experience. We each ordered our own entrees, but we could've probably shared family style. We all appreciated the leftovers. Finally had a chance to check them out for their Fish Fry Friday today and another quality experience. The fish was perfectly crisp and deliciously seasoned. I always have felt so welcomed since the first time. Coming in a third time I was greeted by name. Looking forward to any other visits. read more

Went to this place Sunday, February 16, 2025 for my daughter's birthday. My wife and I had sausage and waffle, my daughter had fried shrimp and French fries, and my nephew had shrimp and grits and cornbread. My waffle was about an inch thick and big around as a dinner plate. Sausage pieces were mixed and cooked in the waffle and there was a sausage patty and whipped cream on the side. There were a selection of syrups. The waffle came fresh cooked and warm. It was light and crispy. It was also delicious and very filling. My daughter's shrimp and fries came in two large bowls, one for the shrimp, one for the fries. I had one of her shrimp. It was a good size and delicately breaded and deep fried. It was also delicious. My nephew's meal came in a large bowl overflowing with cheesy grits, shrimp, and crab claws and he said it was delicious. We all left with doggie bags with enough to have a full meal the next day. The cook and wait staff were very pleasant and the meals were served freshly cooked with more than ample portions. The dining room is not very large and probably has a capacity of about 25 diners. It is a house converted to a restaurant and has that atmosphere. There is a ramp outside that accommodates a wheel chair. The restaurant is open to dine in only on Sundays until about 3 in the afternoon so it is best to make reservations. On Friday there is a take out only fish fry. For an additional five dollars as a part of their ministry these folks will fix a dish for a community person and will be delivered by a local volunteer. Their web site could use some work but their vital information is there. Given the size of the place and being open only on Sunday for dine in and Friday for take out reservations are a must. The prices are within what one expects these days. In my opinion Sunday's Cafe 64 is well worth the visit. read more

We biked here from the C&D canal trail on a Sunday. This place was a nice find! Cozy atmosphere, awesome hand cut fries & fried fish! It was almost 3pm & they were sold out of their popular biscuits and gravy. We will bike here again on a mission for biscuits! Super nice owners. Their pride shows in the quality of the food!... wait, wait, I added on a peach cobbler... OMG. It is so moist & fluffy & peachy inside and If I lose a filling in the fabulously chewy & crispy carmelized crust it'll be well worth it! My favorite part! read more

This is a sweet little amazing place.. run by a sweet couple. I had a biscuit and gravy and a peanut brownie. The brownie was okay, but the biscuit gravy was amazing! Huge in size, very delicious and filling. Totally loved it, or i was too hungry, lol! Also, they provide the fork, knife and spoon wrapped in a soft cloth napkin! I loved the fact that it wasn't made of paper or the other standard cloth napkins we see at fine dining restaurants. I can foresee coming back here for other dishes.. read more

Feels like Home!!! First of all when you come in you can easily feel like your in a cozy home or at a close friends home. The owners pay attention to details and they seem to really enjoy what they do. You can tell because the food is soooo flavorful! Sometimes It's hard to find things kids will enjoy, but not here! My kids love their French Toast, their fried fish, the sweet tea and infused water and they of course flip for their desserts! My husband and I really enjoy everything we have tried and the seafood Gumbo, is to die for!!! If you haven't been here your missing out, but that's ok because that means more food for us! read more

We were in town visiting family and decided to stop in for breakfast. This place was wonderful. I 100% recommend to anyone driving through on a Sunday. the portions are huge and the quality of the food is amazing. This is the diamond in the rough of Delaware. I'd never heard of this place before so I thought I'd try it out. When you walk in, you're politely greeted by staff. They walk you through the ordering process and you pick a table. The atmosphere was cozy and quaint. Not noisy at all, even with the background music. The food I had was cooked to perfection. No exaggeration. I've been to countless breakfast places and have never tasted something where it is clear the cook takes pride in what is given to customers. This is my new regular breakfast spot. Great little spot with fantastic home cooking. Don't be put off by the exterior. Inside is very homey and the food is terrific. We are not locals but if we were this would be a regular spot. Had a sausage egg and cheese on Texas toast. Excellent and a big breakfast sandwich. Wife had vegetable omelette- HUGE and came with a whopping side of fried potatoes (secret ingredient is cumin) delicious! So if you are visiting the New Castle or Delaware City area make this a stop. Wow, what a quaint little gem in our own back yard. We are local, did a Yelp search and found this little cottage cafe close to home. This was a true cafe experience. We came from Philly for a meeting and found this little gem! We walked into this homey little cottage and were greeted by jazzy piano at just the right volume, and two lovely humans who told us it was always Sunday in here! It's counter service, so you order up front and sit at any of the unique tables available. They give you a beeper that theoretically goes off so you can pick up your plates, but it wasn't too busy so they brought all of our dishes to the table. We had the veggie omelette with home fried potatoes, cheese grits which were fantastic according to my father, and french toast with strawberries and a little whipped cream that my husband devoured. We had tea and coffee in unique little cups and saucers and silverware wrapped in lovely kerchief napkins. They have created and preserved a hospitality that is rare these days and the food is a breath of fresh air from the chain food that's all around this area. We were there after having a problem with our boat docked at the Marina .5 miles away . What a great discovery! The biscuits were incredible! Overall everything on the menu we had was the best the omelette , the side of breakfast potatoes, the bagels , the waffles so impeccable!
