Spinach salad with chicken, topped with cheddar cheese.

Wow, we were definitely impressed with the Wilmington Diner. Their menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. It was a gorgeous day out, and the air was warm, so we opted for something crisp and cool. The spinach salad, with egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, grilled chicken and topped with cheddar was so delicious. We paid $13.00 and it was with every penny. We brought left-overs home for another meal. The restaurant was clean, the young girls were accommodating. They brought us out a container for the left overs and a plastic bag, which was so sweet and free of charge, however, we don't use plastic anymore so we just carried it out to the Carr. We definitely will be back soon for another meal. Please don't be shy, come visit your favorite restaurant and enjoy your local community.

The food was great, the Pancakes were amazing, and the bacon was also delicious, there was too much frosting on the carrot cake, but otherwise still good, the service was excellent! It was very quiet barely anybody in restaurant at 9/19 PM best time on a Friday night is to go between 9 o'clock and 9:20 PM, the food came out in under 10 minutes! Recommended to come here again! And a nice place to come with the family! Our server was very nice!

Scrapple and eggs

This place was surprisingly good! Ashley our waitress was very attentive, nice and funny. We had breakfast. The breakfast burrito with fruit and scrapple and eggs. Breakfast burrito was more like a quesadilla but still hot and tasty. Salsa was good and fruit was fresh. Toast is very good. Not too thin. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The best I've seen in a while. Home fries were well cooked and plentiful. Scrapple was the best. Highly recommend.

Stewed tomatoes and crab cakes

The Wilmington Diner is under new management but has retained many experienced staff. The food and service were both very good when we visited and enjoyed the Friday crab cake special, which included two large crab cakes on macaroni and cheese with a side of stewed tomatoes. This meal includes soup or salad and a choice of several desserts (the diner-made bread pudding is my favorite!) The decor has been updated and offers diners a choice of tables or booths. The lamps above the booths are pretty cool looking and provide a comfortable level of lighting. I've been there for lunch and dinner and enjoyed each visit. Looking forward to many more meals there with family and friends.

Open late, clean, delish chicken and fries. A little bit of a wait to get seated but it was around midnight.

The food was delicious! My friend had the mushroom burger and I had the banana walnut pancake , potatoes, ,turkey sausages, and eggs. My food was enough that I had it for breakfast the next day! Urban Kitchen can be described best as a diner for the 21st century offering a variety of tempting options. I went for the Friday classics of fish and chips that included a truly amazing cream of crab soup! The crab soup was oh so good and yes I found some shell but that was fine because this was real crab!! The delivery of my dinner made my. mouth water ... onon rings over French fries with perfectly beer battered cod that proved to me that the folks in the kitchen know what they're doing (flaky and moist cod yum). My dining partner had a cheeseburger, which in my opinion was ho hum compared to my dinner but she said it was really good. Oh, the coleslaw was top notch too. My only complaint... it was so filling I couldn't eat all those perfect French fries so they became part of the next day's breakfast! Was truly a great Friday dinner!!

They have great cookies (with nuts so if you have allergies, ask for the nut-free allergy cookies separately). Towels a bit stiff, hard as with no dryer sheets and didn't soak up water very well. Faucet was almost falling off the wall, had to re-press it back in and it was almost coming off again. Water pressure was good, though. Couldn't get the hotel phone to dial the desk, so had to ask for new towels at the front. Parking was plentiful. They have a restaurant downstairs (does not come with a complimentary breakfast meal). Two towers for rooms so two separate elevator banks. One couch by the wall - very comfortable. The one in front of the TV - squashed down, you can feel the supports through the cushions so not comfortable to wait on. Service made up for the fact the hotel is on the older side, and AC worked overtime at night.

(We were visiting Philadelphia…read moreand had our son with us who had not been to Delaware yet and wanted to get him into the state). The restaurant was not what I was expecting. I thought it was a little donut shop, but it was actually a full restaurant/bar. The restaurant didn't really seem to be open yet, but the donuts at back were fresh and coming out for the morning. There were so many options it was very hard to choose what to get. These donuts were special, in that they are brioche and very large and fluffy. We got an apple pie and strawberry cheesecake donut. We definitely didn't need two, but "when in Delaware" I guess? Haha! The woman at the counter was really helpful in our difficult decision and was very friendly and patient with us while we drooled over the donut menu haha!

We immediately felt like we were an inconvenience. After we were seated, the waitress brought out our drinks. 1 1/2 hours later, she comes back with the promise our food would be out soon, then, one minute, then oh yeah they are plating the food. Then we spotted our waitress and a few other servers vaping as the kitchen door opened. The manager was checked out as we were speaking with him. Needless to say the service was awful, so we left. As I said promising, but their staff and customer service is a complete turn off. Eat well folks! Ps. My daughter did a Yelp review right after we left but somehow it's been removed...

Many restaurants place great emphasis and effort on the grand opening to garner good reviews and then drop their quality of service and food over time. This wasn't the case at First Watch. My wife and I visited First Watch a year ago on the day after Thanksgiving and were delighted by the quality of food and service, specifically the thoughtfulness and attention to detail from the staff so much so that we had to return one year later. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our hostess who lead us to our table where our family was already seated. Our server promptly arrived to offer beverages, take our orders, and answer questions. As we waited, the manager greeted us at our table and asked if there was anything we needed while our orders were being prepared. The restaurant was well lit with natural lighting and spacious as we remembered it a year ago. The menus were clear and offered a good selection of entrees, sides and daily specials. I ordered the Farmhouse Hasher with eggs over easy. My wife ordered one of the specials -- the double crunch breakfast tacos. Both were brought to us promptly. My wife loved the tacos and said she hadn't had such great tacos like that in quite a while. The farmhouse hasher was as I remembered it - the potatoes were cooked and seasoned perfectly; the bacon nice and crispy; and eggs over easy delicious. This will be our annual day-after-Thanksgiving morning tradition from now on!
