This is our breakfast joint to eat at when we are visiting family in the area. I think it's the genuine hospitality and friendliness when you walk in the door that makes us keep coming back. There was 4 adults and my 2 year old son which everyone was so accommodating and nice to as he tried to talk and wave to everyone in the restaurant lol. The portions are really nice and you can tell they only make here, what they're going to make really, really well. We ordered a ton of different things and the 4 of us shared. Pancakes and French toast were 10/10. My husband and I shared the biscuits and gravy which I would 100% get again. I added corned beef hash which was sooo delicious, probably my favorite thing I ate for the meal. The sausage is that delicious Italian thick sausage which I also loved! Came for the Kenny Rogers mural, stayed for the classic diner breakfast! Ordered the biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns - large portions with more than decent sausage gravy. Husband ordered the chicken fried steak and it pretty much takes over the plate. We added a side of sausages and were happy we did; flavorful with just the right snap. I was greeted when I walked in and received Very attentive service and throughout the meal. I ordered the special: three pancakes (at least 5" across), three eggs, and three strips of bacon. One granddaughter ordered the western omelette with white toast, and the on the granddaughter ordered chocolate chip pancakes with sausage. I've been enough that they recognize me and my usual order. . I always check out the dessert options because they're all delicious and they catch your eye as soon as you walk in. The waitresses are friendly and there when you need them. Cream Chipped Beef is good and plentiful. The Country Fried Steak is very good, any melt sandwiches are good, salads are good. Growing up in Philly with diners all over this diner is not the best if you're looking for traditional diner food. It's actually the higher end items that they do so well. Club sandwiches are good yet average, Roast Beef or Turkey and Gravy meals are better at other diners in the area. With that said, this is the ONLY diner I'd order Crab Soup or Flounder for example. We buy the cream of crab soup for our Christmas Eve Spread with guests. It's THAT good!! Pea soup was not traditional but darn good. Bottom line, GO. Great diner! We have been looking for a decent diner near us. Our server was really nice and gave excellent advice. I have been there a few times before, for lunch. The latest two visits were for dinner and then breakfast. Happy with both meals. Good coffee was the start. Then the soup was excellent. The rest of our meals were really good. Today, breakfast was excellent. My husband does not eat pork so they replaced an omelet that had ham, sausage etc with turkey sausage and turkey bacon at no extra charge. Always the best here. Pancakes, omelettes, tons of options, and you can't go wrong! They have plastic dividers up for COVID, and even when it's busy, they do a great job with their COVID prep. Portions are huge, and prices are cheap! And talk about fast service... we have ordered food on busy Saturday or Sunday mornings, and had it on the table in less than 5 minutes!
