    Build Your Own Omelet Breakfast
    Courtney E.

So annoyed I didn't learn about this gem until this morning! I ordered a BYO omelet and it was so good! I like that the potatoes were prepared without seasoning and salt and pepper were included in my to-go bag so that I could season to my liking. Hands down the soft and crispy potatoes were my favorite! I'm relieved that I finally found a small business that serves great breakfast items consistently. Maybe I'm just picky, but I hadn't had a breakfast in a while where every item on my plate was Heaven. I'm already dreaming about the next time I can have more potatoes.

Good food, good service, good prices. It is a good brunch option on the weekend if you have a hankering for diner food. The breakfast sandwich comes with egg on it and homes fries on the side. All the components of a hearty and healthy breakfast. The sweet potato pancakes are an unique option, honestly next time I probably won't even put syrup on them. They are very cake like and delicious on their own. The place was pretty packed during the brunch rush but our server was quick to take our order, get us our drinks, and ring us up. I'll be back in the future

Burger with cheese added, no fries.

I've lived in Wilmington for 50 years and have never eaten here so when I saw it on Groupon I decided to try it, $10 for $20 of food. We arrived at 11:30am. It was pretty clear we were expected to order breakfast but we wanted lunch. I'd read another review about the "regulars" and the dreaded table by the door which made we laugh. I'm no longer laughing because we received the dreaded table by the door. It was 35 degrees outside and every time the door opened we jolted to a breeze of freezing cold air. This started to wear thin after a few minutes. Regulars when they enter, are guided to tables in the back, draft free I might add. We saw this over and over . Also, super tight seating in the front room. Squeezed in like sardines. We decided to keep it simple, so we both ordered a burger ($6) with cheese (cheese costs extra). It came with chips and pickles but the menu stated you could pay extra and swap those for fries. Maybe you can, or maybe not. We were told because it was Sunday and they close at 2pm they don't turn on the fryer machine. No fries for us. The burger was good, but not the best in North Wilmington. I'd rather pay a little more and have some elbow room at my table and fries and no windy tundra air blowing in on me. Also, to the owner, if you favor regulars over newbies you'll never get new regulars.

I had low expectations, reading about a trailer and greasy food but it wasn't like that. While this isn't a "date night" kind of restaurant, it is a diner and they serve diner food in a diner restaurant. It's not a "trailer" but it is not the kind of structure you'd run to in a tornado either. Ha. On a weekday morning, there was only one other person in there so my order was taken quickly and my food came out quickly. Simple cheese omelet with home fries and rye toast. Easy to screw up and this wasn't screwed up. Nice and hot, plenty of fries that did well with the ketchup on the table. It's not the fanciest restaurant around but it's good food and there's enough of it at a good price.

Love this little gem in the neighborhood, especially the breakfast. Sausage and gravy, cream chipped beef and egg Benedict are my favorite. My girls love the honey fried chicken for dinner.

My friend and I arrived a bit early for our reservation, but were quickly greeted and offered a beverage menu. Their cocktail options are creative and constantly changing, often featuring some unique foam toppers. On this particular occasion, I started with the Strawberry Kiwi Spice Margarita, which included some cardamom to add depth and warmth to the fruity drink. I also ordered the Apricot Ginger Sour, a consistent favorite bourbon cocktail with a little zing from the lemon foam on top. Both drinks were excellent. For starters, we selected a few of the fresh oysters as well as a scallop special made with a lemon beurre blanc. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and I was grateful the dish came with sourdough to sop up every last drop of that delicious beurre blanc. My entree was where things went awry. I tend toward pescetarian options and selected the lone fish on the menu that night: skate wing. My first few bites were great, though slightly oversalted. However, eventually the mouthfeel evolved into a burning, ammonia taste, and I unfortunately wasn't able to finish the dish. My friend who also had the skate wing, however, did not have that experience (and I tried a bite of hers to confirm, too!). I know skate wing can be tricky to prepare and this is a known potential issue, but it was disappointing. Luckily, dessert was fabulous once again --- we chose the coconut creme brulee which was delightful. I'm sure I'll be back. Just no skate wing for me!

Keep going to the stop sign. When you're at the stop sign look across the street to the left and they're right there. I got lucky and found street parking right in front of their door. Walked in and they were packed. One tiny table open squashed between two others and the bar were my options so I sat at the bar. I try to pay cash at Mom & Pops place so they're not hammered by the credit card fees. They were low on change and recommending credit cards. I dug around in my pockets and found exact change. They were all out of pastries but one. I wanted to try their pasties de nada but all that was left was a croissant so I ordered it, along with their French toast and an oatmilk cappuccino. Turns out the croissant was already purchased by another patron who was going to have it after their meal. It hadn't been served yet. I received a refund. A couple showed up and sat at the bar as all the tables were full. Then someone else showed up and pointed at the seat I had my coat on saying they were told to sit there as it was the last seat open in the entire place. Packed. The French toast came out in good time but somehow my cappuccino got lost in the mix. It was immediately made and brought out. The French toast is as good as everyone says it is. Light, well filled, great flavor without being too sweet. I was trying to eat it all but had to stop 3/4 of the way as somehow it's filling. The cappuccino is also very good. I made the mistake of wanting to try them out at 11:45 on a holiday. 100% my bad. Considering there are only 3 people working the entire establishment, they did a great job. The food and drink were totally worth it and I will be back (at a less busy time)! *Quick add: I usually don't post while in the establishment but did here. Even with it being busy the owner came by to talk about the review and share a little about their business. They do evening events, private dinners. They also host guest chefs. Their goal is to elevate dishes, which is exactly what they did to the French toast. Based on this one breakfast I would definitely consider them for any function I was hosting in the area.
