Great coffee and sweets for the kids. We like the fun seating but the dining room and back hall are showing their age and are very dirty around the baseboards. The corner with the big egg shaped chair near the bus station had lots of visible mouse droppings around the chair legs and it looked like nobody had moved the chairs to clean in a very long time. Two out of three Saturday AM visits resulted in more than 20 mins for a single take away drink. I don't think they FIFO the orders (forget or didn't queue correctly) because people who ordered after received their orders before I did. I go to a lot of coffee shops and this is certainly one of my favorites. I don't come here unless I'm in town since I live in another state but mannnnn this place is the best! The prices are great compared to coffee shops in Denver or Miami. Plenty of places to sit and work (even outside seating). The location is beautifully decorated and has amazing high ceilings that make it feel so spacious and grand. I purchased a "sugar daddy iced coffee" (I think) and it was delicious ... I actually also ended up getting a plain iced coffee later on in the day. I got a breakfast sandwich also which was delicious and completely enjoyed. I ordered the Greenville wrap and it was inedible. $16.75 for only a minuscule amount of chicken salad. It was dripping in dressing -- way too much, like whoever was making it was rushing and careless. The tomatoes were translucent and tasteless. The wrap was hard and stale. They tried to mask the low quality ingredients with a heaping pile of home made chips -- which were still dripping in oil. I had to return it. I've been here before and it was fine for coffee and the basic breakfast foods, and the environment is great. But anything beyond that and you will be overcharged for bad food. Brew Ha Ha has fallen. Many better options in Delaware that have better food, coffee, and environment for better value. We will not be coming back. read more

Everything was great except for the seating. The shabby chique look is nice but the furniture is getting old and is visibly quite dirty. Not exactly inviting. The coffee selection for the specialty drinks were great (my friends and I tried the two mint options and the Sugar Daddy). We came back again and tried the breakfast sandwiches which were great, though we had wanted to try the spicy chicken biscuit breakfast special. One time we just took out and the other we sat - definitely a great spot to catch up. While they finally fixed their front door (gee, that only took 4 months to accomplish*), the new menu has not improved their food quality...or their rotten attitude. (This is a shame because it's a large coffee shop with a cozy decor, nice deck, and decent live jazz on the weekends.) Besides the salad greens, their food quality is low & over priced. They use low quality milk and cream, which ruins the coffee drinks. Their burger meat is cheap and always tastes "off". They use a canola oil blend and microwave most items. Their homemade chips taste like old burnt oil. The flavor combinations in many of their dishes don't work Besides Christian and Ryan, and one of the young female servers, literally everyone who works here is grumpy and arrogant... (especially the tall skinny 50yr old barista who proudly gropes his 25yr old girlfriend (who's a regular customer) in front of all the other customers - very unprofessional behavior. We initially thought she was his daughter, until the groping started.) Why should this be? Perhaps it's the cold female manager's fault. We don't know. In short, this coffee shop needs to fire most of the staff, and use better recipes with better quality ingredients. * Edit: The management here is so lazy, it's very possible that they didn't even bother to fix the front door, but simply waited until the weather became less hot and humid. I have been getting coffee at Brew Ha Ha since I was a little kid but it had been some time since I had visited this location. All I can say is WOW. I love the vibes in here. Brew Haha somehow manages to seem both nostalgic and trendy to a 90s kid like myself. I am so happy to see how this Delaware establishment is thriving in the 2020s. My girlfriend and I visited on a Sunday morning for a sit down breakfast. You have to order at the counter and then they bring your order to your seat. She got a Strawberry Fruit Smoothie and French Toast. I got a Cinnamon Chip Scone and a Rest Stop Breakfast Sandwich on a Biscuit. I also got a Cappuccino w/ Skim Milk. Everything was great. I typically prefer scrambled eggs on a breakfast sandwich but the fried egg worked well. It was also served on a red pepper biscuit that had a bit of zing. The combination of that with the bacon and eggs was great. The French Toast was perfect as well. It was topped with granola which gave a satisfying crunch. It was also not too big. this is not the kind of French Toast that will leave you feeling gross afterwards. Special shout out to the scone, though. I have always liked Brew Ha Ha's banked goods and I was pleased that this scone (the last one) tasted fresh and not at all stale. If you are in Greenville, get coffee here instead of Starbucks. Yes, I sometimes visit Starbucks because it is faster and I know exactly what I want to order. However, Brew Ha Ha has been a Greenville staple for three decades (or four?). I have been to this location multiple times in the past five years. The decor here is bohemian with mix and match dining area. There are outside tables on a back deck and some tables out from and on the side of the building. Coffee is fresh but I am disappointed that they no longer make siphon coffee which was my original draw. Light fare is available and the scones are pretty good if you are into them. They always have the cafe decorated really cute for the holiday season. There is live music on some nights if you check the schedule. This Brew Haha is hands-down the best location, I'm so glad it opened. Located right in the heart of Greenville, it's adorable and inviting for everyone. Brew Haha! is a Delaware great establishment/chain. This location has an awesome spacious indoor setting that is very comfortable and a really nice back porch too. Definitely not a cramped coffee shop. Today I had a nice big latte which was solid and a slamming bacon egg and cheese on a special herbed biscuit. Maybe the best bacon egg and cheese biscuit ever. Enjoyed a box lunch. The staff seemed a little clueless. I asked for a pike creek sandwich off of the box lunch menu. They told me that they didn't have that. They said the closest thing they have is the Turkey and provolone sandwich, so I got that. It is the same thing. I asked for it on sour dough, listed as an option, they said they don't offer that. So I got the multi grain. I asked for the Greek pasta salad off the menu, they said they don't offer that. So I chose chips. The girl seemed to have trouble ringing it up and seemed to think I was making things up. So I handed her the menu I just picked up in front of her register with a whole stack of them piled up. On it is listed both the Pike Creek sandwich, sour dough, and the Greek pasta salad. She was kind of rude and obnoxious. I assumed they would bring my food out to the back patio where I said I was sitting. NOPE! With 4 or 5 employees standing around my lunch was sitting on the counter with all of the to go orders when I came looking for it after a few minutes. Brew Ha Ha is not somewhere I go often. I have frequently encountered experiences like this when I have visited various locations. This is one of the few coffee shops that actually knows what a Cortada is. I think they make one of the best cold brew cortado is in Delaware. Their hot Cortado is pretty good too. Can I just move to Delaware so I can come to Brew Ha Ha! everyday?? Ughhh this place is so good!!! Stopped for a quick breakfast before going to Lum's Pond State Park. First off, it's such a chill place! In the front there's a bar and a cafe area with tables & booths. In the back there is a fireplace with couches and an outdoor porch with tables. There were several people sipping their coffee reading books or doing work on their laptops. I got a cold brew mocha caramel coffee (WHICH WAS TO DIEEEE FOR) and for breakfast I got "The Florentine" which is fried organic egg, wilted spinach, red pepper spread, and mango chutney on a croissant. Ummm. Can you say MOUTHWATERING?!! They have so many great menu options! I was between that and the avocado toast. Wish I got both hehe. They also serve brunch here. The Greenville location is definitely a unique experience compared to the other Brew Ha Ha cafes in the area. I enjoyed this morning's mimosa with my egg white Basque omelet with a side of avocado. I enjoy the ease of the online order ahead system and I also can usually get in and out quickly if I'm just popping in to order, grab and go. Wow this place is so cute and service was friendly too! Right when we walked in we were wowed by the decor and ambience. Then we ordered our food through a computer kiosk thing, there's also in person service if you prefer that but we had specific things like dairy allergies so it was easier for us to order through digitally. I'm a fan of Brew Ha Ha in general, but as several others have mentioned, this location is especially awesome because they have an extended menu that includes cocktails. As such, it tends to get busy and sometimes loud, especially during breakfast/brunch hours (even during the week --- I tried to study there on a Wednesday once and found it packed with Moms clad in yoga pants and their young children... and I wound up heading to an alternate location for the sake of focus). They do not take reservations. For service, there are two options: counter service, with the more traditional coffee, pastry, and sandwich menu offered at most Brew locations OR you can head to the back half of the restaurant for table service and the full menu. If you ask, you can be seated in the front half of the establishment and still have table service, which we have done if the live music is particularly loud. The extended menu is decent, but I will admit that most of the highlights for me can be selected from their usual menu: - Coffee: I love that they have a rotating iced and hot flavored coffee. Cookie Doodle is my favorite! They also have a variety of flavored lattes if you are in the mood for a sweet treat; I like the Almond Joy or the Snickers. The Shakerato is a good afternoon kick of iced espresso, cream, and sugar. - Cocktails: The cocktail menu features some unique and delicious options including a Strawberry/Black Pepper Whiskey Sour, Lavendar Lemonade, and a brunch Pineapple Bellini. I've had good luck with their feature Friday cocktails, including a recent bourbon-apple concoction. - Sandwiches: I LOVE their egg/cheese breakfast sandwich with added chorizo; ask for it on a biscuit! For lunch, the Newark is my go-to, with mozzarella and pesto. You can choose either sourdough or multigrain bread for the sandwiches. - Small Plates: Their cheese board is pretty solid, though I've run out of bread before we run out of cheese EVERY time. - The Yogurt Bowl: I get random cravings for their Mango and Blueberry Greek Yogurt Bowl with honey and homemade granola. I think this is the best Brew Ha Ha location in Delaware. There is dine in seating in the back, and tables up front for those who are just interested in chilling out and having some coffee. There's never any shortage of parking. I'm not into the beans from Brew Ha Ha, but I do LOVE the "brew ha ha latte" which is a latte with mocha and raspberry syrup. It's not too sweet and really hits the spot. It's good hot or iced. I also enjoy their frozen lattes in the summer; they aren't sickeningly sweet like Frappuccino's. read more
