Had a lovely time at the outdoor patio at Columbus Inn, beautiful plants and vibe! Drinks were very strong. Gnocchi and chicken parm were delicious! Portions were excellent. Restaurant week deal was a steal. Our server was kind and attentive and helped us with some menu decisions!

I love this place, especially during happy hour. Great staff, great bar, awesome building, spacious parking lot and oh yeah, the cherry ginger bourbon fizz (probably the best cocktail ever, lmao). A Wilmington staple. Came for Mother's Day brunch this year also and that was pretty good too.. just not the best layout I've ever seen for a buffet. Doesn't matter though. I'll be back again and again!

Best service in Wilmington!! The fireplace created a warm inviting ambiance and the food was perfect. We shared the calamari and burnt ends , beet salad and I enjoyed the shrimp and lobster fried rice with green beans as my entree. S'mores cake was large enough for the three of us to share!

Yum! Yum! Yum! So worth the time. The beautiful building, solid cocktails, creative food. I would go over and over if I lived closer.

Different cheesesteak'esque sandwich #1126 in the last five years. Special Monday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. We got the Filet Mignon sandwich. It came on a round roll with Potato roll qualities. Amigo Dan liked the simplicity of the roll. I thought this sandwich deserved a much better roll. The meat was tender and flavorful. Onions and peppers added flavor without being distracting. Scored an 85 because it didn't have cheese. It didn't need cheese but it hurt the score.

Our evening at Columbus Inn was fabulous in every way! It was beautifully decorated for the holidays, the dining area was comfortable and not overcrowded with tables, the service was great, and the food was delicious!! They have a beautiful bar with great selections, and they have a parking lot. Definitely recommend a reservation. Hoping to go back soon!

stopped in for a christmas cocktail and small bite while waiting to meet friends. this was our first visit but if i lived in the area i would be a regular. per our preference we sat at the bar where our order was promptly taken and delivered. we decided to have the pineapple fried rice for a light snack. it was a great choice. a large serving that could have been a meal. while service and food was great, i was most impressed with the interior of the restaurant. nice deep wood tones, appropriate lighting and tvs in the bar. it was a jackpot for all my favorite dining settings, i hope we get the chance to return soon and enjoy the full dining experience.

I wish I could say I was excited after dining there for the first time but I have to say I was left somewhat disappointed. I can overlook most things, but when dining out i go for the food. And the food was just OK. We started out with cocktails. Two of us ordered from the unique signature cocktail menu and one of us just decided to have their usual Kir Royale. Of these three drinks, the Kea Royale was the best. Neither of the others thought that their drink was so great that they would order it again. A young man showed up at our table with three small dishes, asking, "Are you familiar with amuse bouche"? Yes I am. I don't need an 18 or year old to try to make me feel like he knows more than I do. It was condescending at best and just pretentious. He explained it was compressed cantaloupe with a mint oil and a touch of salt. If I had closed my eyes, I never in a million years would have tasted anything except a little bit of salt and a little bit of water. It was flavorless. For appetizers, we shared the snails, the rabbit poutine, and the foie gras. Both the snails and the poutine came with a sauce, and the servers almost insisted on pouring the sauce over the appetizer. One of us opted to stop the server because why would you bring it on the side and then not let me elect how I want it on there. That just did not make sense. There's no theater here you're just pouring. The snails were served in a vol-au-vent and were kind of lost in the too tall puff pastry. Both the snails and the poutine were lacking some serious flavor. The best bite of the appetizers was the piece of foie gras which was served on a comparatively mammoth-sized sleepy zucchini bread and with pickled local strawberries. I didn't care for the combination and for the price, the two bite piece of foie gras was not worth it. (understand you can drive 3 miles to a restaurant that puts more of it on a burger for that equivalent price.-plus you get an 8 oz burger). The pickled strawberry did not work either. We also order the "bread service." I don't like paying for bread but was intrigued by the bone marrow butter upsell. For $20 you get 5 slices of bread, some salted butter, and at most a tablespoon of bone marrow butter. Skip it. Not worth it. For entrées, we ordered the salmon and the duck for two. The salmon was supposed to be seared, but the presentation side looked more like it had been steamed or poached. Perhaps they seared the skin side, but this particular diner did not like salmon skin, so that was lost on it. The diner did not like couscous, which was the side that came with this dish so they asked for the pomme puree as a substitute. The potato purée was also lacking seasoning and of course we got charged $8 for the substitution even though this potato purée is a side for other entrées. The server who took our order recommended the duck. I'm a big fan of duck so our other dining partner indulged me and shared this entrée with me. The duck came with two breasts, two confit legs, baby carrots, cooked in duck fat and a frisée salad. This was probably enough for three people because we took home 1/4 of a duck breast, a whole leg and plenty of carrots. The duck breast was well rendered of the fat, and the skin was crispy. I like a medium rare duck breast but the underside was very rare as if it was never flipped in the pan. The leg was delicious (probably tossed in the deep fryer before serving to crisp the skin) but the carrots were heavy with fat. Very little frisée was served (almost as a garnish ) and it really needed more of it that acid from the dressing to lighten things up. Again the server tried to pour the sauce that came with it over the breast without asking if I wanted it first. I stopped them because I know how much I want and I know where I want it. I don't need you to do that for me. One cocktail, one appetizer and one entree per person was $100 per person on average. No tax in DE Service here is amateurish with training. I have already cited a few things. The waitress who took our order poured water for each of us spilling a significant amount when pouring one glass, said I'm sorry I misjudged. Bad depth perception, she said and continued on with her opening spiel which we got to hear in almost the exact same fashion as she greeted other tables. No offering to change the tablecloth of its two foot diameter circle of wetness. She just kept it moving. We came dressed business casual. We were the best dressed there. Lots of shorts and casual wear. This is not a fancy place. People appear to come as they are. I just did not get that I want to come back here feeling. Service was not great. Food was just ok and not ok for the price. Atmosphere is more American bar than French bistro. I am not super charged to go back.

Hummingbird to Mars is one of those rare places that reminds you why small businesses matter…read more Tucked away like a true speakeasy, it has an atmosphere that immediately pulls you in: low light, intimate corners, and a sense that you've stepped into a place where craft still means something. The bartenders are the heart of the experience. They don't just pour drinks; they create them. There's real skill and artistry behind the bar, and the conversation is as good as the cocktails. You can tell they care about balance, technique, and presentation. The Walk in the Garden gin cocktail is the perfect example: bright, layered flavors, premium ingredients, and that lavender garnish that hits your nose before the first sip. The scent alone sets the stage for the drink. It's thoughtful, elegant, and exactly what a craft cocktail should be. The food holds its own right alongside the drinks. The skillet meatballs come out tender and full of flavor, the kind of dish that disappears faster than you expect. The potato skins are crisp, satisfying, and exactly what you want with a cocktail in hand. And the homemade Baileys cheesecake is the kind of dessert you plan to share but end up guarding with your fork. It's rich without being heavy, with that unmistakable homemade touch. One of the best parts of Hummingbird to Mars is the tapas-style menu. You can eat as much or as little as you want, a couple of small plates with drinks, or a full progression from appetizers to dessert. It gives you the freedom to shape the night however you want, without committing to oversized entrées or predictable bar food. And that's the bigger point: places like this don't happen by accident. They come from creativity, risk-taking, and a commitment to doing things well. If we don't support small businesses that put this level of care into their craft, we'll be left with nothing but the same chains serving the same menus everywhere you go. Hummingbird to Mars is the antidote to that; personal, inventive, and genuinely memorable. From the first sip to the last bite, it's a place that delivers an experience, not just a night out. It's worth supporting, worth returning to, and worth celebrating.

Shoutout to Christian! We went with a bigger party this time - total of 6. Would highly recommend reservations. Parking can be challenging but worth the work. You will ring a bell next to a discreet door where someone will assist you. You are greeted and walked up a very long staircase to the actual speakeasy. There's a bar, seating areas, and lounge areas as well. There's also live music. Check their socials. We ordered lots of drinks - 12 total. Every single one was absolutely delicious. Doesn't matter what you order. They do have seasonal cocktails too. You can't go wrong. Food! Okay, just order one of everything. We got meatballs (highly recommend), tuna, pizzas (shareable size). All the things were good. Again, you can see this isn't our first time here (see previous reviews). We will continue to share this place with as many people as we can as it is a superb experience! Just all around a lovely place to sit and enjoy cocktails and good. For sure meets that speakeasy vibe!

For the 3-course price fixed, we tried the lasagna noodle soup which was unique and delicious. My corn cappellacci (not on the price-fixed menu) was a new entree.
