This restaurant is excellent. The food is delicious and offers some Caribbean flare. My favorite so far has been the lamb chops. Even better than I had at one of the local steak houses. I loved that the restaurant gives chill lounge vibes while located in downtown Wilmington. The owner took the time to come over and greet our table. They have a great choice of menu items with vegetarian options. This place would be great for a date night or even a large group of friends. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and was impressed with the taste and flavor profiles. I also ordered the lavender lemonade cocktail. The drink was delicious. The rosemary added a fresh refreshing taste. The filet was served in 3 "bite" size amounts. The flavor of the filet was interesting peanut butter and strawberry jam. The ambiance of this establishment is warm, cozy and modern - my favorite aspect about this restaurant was the energy. I visited this restaurant on a Friday night. Like most places they're short staffed, so the wait time for service is long. When you visit try to keep that in mind. The menu, is creative and interesting but not my cup of tea. I wasn't too fond of my Cesar salad having eggs, my drinks weren't mixed well; except the Smokey Tequila drink - which was my favorite. I didn't care for the Side Car or the drink made with Duse. Overall it's a nice place to try, the menu is different. If you can keep on open mind you may find something you like. I'll be back to try other items on the menu. read more

Had the pleasure of trying this place last night with my best friend and was highly impressed. The restaurant itself is a breath of fresh air, as the location in downtown Wilmington is perfect, the ambiance was on point, the music selection was ideal, and the it was extremely clean. We were properly greeted upon entry and I must say the customer service was exceptional. Our waitress was prompt, friendly, and made tons of recommendations. We tried quite a few things and everything was amazing (Deviled Eggs, Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls, Caesar Salad, Crab Cakes, Lamp Chops, and Lobster Mac) The only dish I was not too crazy about was the deviled eggs. I got a chance to speak with the owner and he was really nice as well. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and hope Delaware brings more places like it around. The state has a shortage of good restaurants, so I'm glad my friend recommended Oath 84. I will definitely be returning soon. read more

This restaurant is top notch! The food is seasoned to perfection, the selections are spot on, and the menu is not overdone. Great atmosphere, ambiance, and Justin (the impeccable owner) has a friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. I asked for salt and pepper, but after tasting EVERYTHING that we ordered...I asked the server to come back to our table so that I could apologize for asking for salt and pepper!! I loved the ambiance. My companion and I sat at the bar and received engaging and good service. The drinks were well made and the food was good. The jerk chicken rolls were well flavored and I enjoyed the sauce. The lamb chops were ok, slightly over cooked. The mac and cheese was good but a little creamy for my taste. The food and service at Oath 84 was fantastic. We had a family dinner with a party of 14 there during June 2023. Everything was delicious. Our dinner started off with a tasty salad with arugula, diced pickled beets, goat cheese topped with a balsamic vinaigrette. In addition, our servings included marinated asparagus spears, well seasoned chicken wings, salmon cornbread cakes (best ever), salmon stuffed with lump crab, grilled marinated lamb chops, truffle mashed potatoes, lobster macaroni and cheese, roasted Brussel sprouts, and topped off with apple cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert (yummy). I'm sure you get the picture by now. Again, I'm a foodie and it takes a lot to impress me, therefore, for me to be posting this review this food was simply awesome. It took us 25 minutes to be seated. My husbands smoked old fashioned took 25 minutes to arrive at the table and 30 minutes for my watermelon lemon drop. For appetizer we had the jerk chicken egg rolls. I was not a fan of the overall taste, but my husband enjoyed them. We ordered lamb chops, lobster Mac, and the steak board. Everything was just... okay. I did not like the sweet sauce that was poured all over the lamb chops. The Mac was burnt on top. The steak may have been the most enjoyable dish. Our server Zoey was very friendly and attentive and gave us great service. Janelle makes a great smoked Old Fashioned. In addition to thebgreat food, Chef Justin took the time to help me get my mom (who's in a wheel chair) to and from the cat when he didn't have to. Such a gentlemen and greatly appreciated!!! My co-workers enjoy the speciality drinks offered from the bar. We ordered just about everything offered on the menu. I had the jerk chicken egg rolls, which were delicious. What a total wonderful experience. We went to this "new" for us restaurant because it was around the corner from the Queen where we were going for a show, we like tapas and it got good reviews for the food. First the atmosphere is very nice. Kind of sophisticated, but not too. Our server, Christine was bubbly attentive and super nice. We ordered small plates. Deviled eggs, jerk chicken egg rolls ( a little too spicy for our taste), and the street corn. All were beautifully presented and very tasty. However the best was the lamb chops. 4 delicious perfected cooked lamb chops that couldn't have been better. Justin the owner came to our table to ask how everything was. He was totally sincere and explained how the restaurant was doing, and why he decided to name it Oath 84. We thought the music was a little loud when we first went in, but it quickly faded into the background and did not interfere with our dinner conversation.
