Nomad bar was a nice time! Live music and reasonably priced drinks. The space is really narrow, and can space can be a bit tight. Due to the live music, conversations can be a little hard to hear but you'd be here to enjoy the music anyway!

Its the best hidden gem of a place with live jazz bar in wilmington, anytime hands down. The place is cozy and has an exhaustive collection of bourbon drinks. The bar tender is the friendliest person I have ever met, polite and understanding. It gets filled late by 11ish on Thursday and Fridays. But the vibe is old school mostly filled with known and regular costumers from around the place. A must visit place when in town.

    Live jazz music.

Excellent cocktails and outstanding Happy Hour. Friendly clientele. Speakeasy vibe with brick and beautiful wood bar. Music is good.

One of the best jazz bars in the area. It's authentic. A great vibe that cannot be easily matched or recreated in Wilmington.

I could not help myself from thinking what Wilmington must have been like in the 1950s and 60s when jazz ruled.

This restaurant was in walking distance from my hotel so my co workers and I tried it twice. Now our first visit, we were seated quickly but it took some time to finally have our drink orders taken. We had enough time to decide what we wanted before we were finally approached. The restaurant was busy and when we did finally get a server Dee. She was absolutely wonderful and a great server. She recommended different items and I have to say the Shrimp Tortellini and house's fresh garlic bread were delicious. It's also the reason I had to go back. So I went back to try the lobster Tuesday special. This time our server was Sara. She was awesome and very friendly as well. But it still took about an hr for us to get our food. But when it did finally come out the food was great. I am not sure the cooks in this place could go wrong. I had the fresh raw oysters and stuffed lobster. It was something out of this world. The restaurant is really nice and has plenty of seating and a full bar. They also have a great patio to enjoy along the water. If you are not in a rush and want some great food. Please stop in and get everything.

My wife and I ordered simple salads--nothing complicated--and it still took about an hour for the food to arrive. After we finished, our waitress disappeared and it took another 45 minutes just to get the check. At that point I was getting anxious because we needed to get back on the road. I even had to ask a busser to find our waitress. She apologized and mentioned she had a big party, but the issue wasn't just the check--it was the entire length and pace of the experience. The staff seemed nice, but the operation felt very disorganized, and the food itself wasn't particularly memorable. Unfortunately, we won't be rushing back

Amanda, our server, was a ray of sunshine and was especially attentive to our little one. she has a grandchild and relished the special time our daughter had while eating away from home. Other breakfast items came as ordered and all of the food was very good . Prices were fair and we really enjoyed our time there and whenever in the area would definetly return.

The food is delicious and seasoned very well. It was better than many of the offsite restaurants we tried. Everyone there is so friendly and we got to know many of the servers, bartenders, etc. Kudos to Tiera, Victoria and Amanda who are all awesome! During our visits, we had the pan seared salmon, grilled pork chop, crab eggrolls and fried mozzarella. The salmon and pork chop were delicious! The eggrolls had a great crab flavor and a sauce that had a slight kick. There is inside and outside seating. I recommend River Rock Kitchen if you are staying at the hotel or in the area.

There was something for everyone. We started with a couple appetizers and drinks. The CHEESESTEAK BAO BUN was actually pretty good. It's obviously not a traditional bso bun but it was delicious. The shrimp wontons were pretty tasty as well. I got the salmon entree and it was perfectly cooked and yummy. Everyone seemed to be happy with their choices. Overall, an A+ experience.

On a cold winter Sunday when parking meant squeezing between snow banks we could not have found a better place for dinner! It began with service, but doesn't it always begin with service? Our server was informative, friendly, and yes, appropriately funny. Our interactions with him throughout the dinner made the entire experience so much more pleasant! We made this choice for a very odd reason.. We had just seen him play where they mentioned cornbread and so we went hunting for cornbread. and the cornbread here ... oh my goodness it was so perfect! I went for the Maryland Crab Soup ... I was advised it would warm me up and that it might have a little bit of kick. It had a perfect kick, it warmed me up, it was filled with delicious ingredients, especially the crab and I pretty much licked the bottom of the bowl. My only complaint ... and this is my only complaint from this amazing day. is that the actual bowl that the soup is served in is one of those bowls that is difficult to get the last drops out of with your spoon. Our server highly recommended the mushroom flatbread but I went for the Cuban and he smiled and gave it a thumbs up. Fries, he asked, of course! Upon delivery both entrees looked amazing! My dining partners face lit up as she took a bite of the flatbread and then offered me a piece. Can I say OMG because this was amazingly good and perfection in a flatbread with those undertones of mushroom amidst whatever else was on top. My Cuban was huge And it was different than your everyday Cuban sandwich. but it really tasted good when I took that first bite. The french fries were perfection and the ketchup must have been in Sriracha ketchup it had that little bit of kick that I love. Because of the weather it was a slow day but our server said he just enjoys working at the Roost. We enjoyed dining there and will be back!
