Drip cafe in Newark has a great little set up: several small tables, a long bar at the windows, and outdoor seating as well for when the weather is nice. It's clean, and the staff is friendly Just had the Smoked Salmon Latkes special feature, and it was so good! Excellent flavor. Went this morning with a few friends (6 in total) for a quick breakfast before a lacrosse tournament. Figuring it would just another coffee/breakfast spot we didn't expect much. I can't say how pleasantly surprised we were at everything. Food was awesome and served quickly, but that pales in comparison to the service. The group of young ladies working there were very pleasant and some of the most courteous servers we have had in a LONG time. They had poise, worked hard and had excellent manners. DO you like Reubens? If so, you'll LOVE a Rachel. Instead of sauerkraut and corned beef, you get turkey, avocado, and coleslaw. Delicious! And the serving is just right--not too big, not too small. My friend and I ate outside on the patio, and it was a very windy day, but that's not the restaurant's fault. we were probably stupid to stay outside, but we loved being in the fresh air. I love Drip Cafe! Every time I have visited, which is probably over 10 times at this point, I have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and the food and drinks are good. I got the mushroom cauliflower tacos. They were just okay to be honest but I know people who would love them. I'm not a fan of beets and the chickpeas were dry. But let me tell you about them Apple cinnamon pancakes. They were delicious. My husband loved his breakfast sandwich and my girls loved their shakes. We will definitely be back. read more

We were visiting UD for a college visit with my daughter and came in for breakfast. The coffee(latte), smoothies, and food were all delicious. They have a menu with something for everyone and unique bites like Caramel Apple pancakes and Vanilla Chai waffles. The breakfast burrito bowl was also great. Definitely a good stop! read more

Food is subpar, they've now gone to a "fast casual" dining experience (think chipotle, or brew haha), but price is still the same. Coffee is mediocre at best. Walked in and wasn't even greeted. Good quality food and it was fast service. But their sandwiches were expensive and the sandwiches are small. I wouldn't stop here everyday to get food, it's more of a once and a while go to spot. I love the food. There are lots of vegetarian and meaty choices and the pastries always taste fresh. The coffee is ok. Every time I've eaten here, I've noticed the tables are dirty. Today I sat eating for 30+ minutes, 3 staff mostly chatting with each other "I love Applebee's!" while all of the unoccupied tables and counters had visible dirt and spills. When customers came in, the guests wiped tables themselves or just sat. Makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Not sure I'll be back! read more

I was traveling in from Southern Indiana to visit Drip Cafe. I ended up trying the french toast and it was absolutely delicious, hence the three stars. However, their coffee is not anything to write home about. I got their 16oz iced latte and the espresso tasted extremely underextracted and bitter. I am taking time to write this review because I was actually dumbfounded by a two star review that seemed impossible to believe. That review found the coffee "rancid"?!! We have gone on almost successive days since this cafe opened because it is fantastic. The coffee is from two local beaneries and I did not know that I could enjoy coffee like I am here. It is truly outstanding. Every dish and salad has passed with flying colors..so I felt compelled to say I found the content of that very negative review : absurd. I have turned several of our friends on to the Drip and it only took one trip to convince them that Newark is the scene of the latest version of :"A Star is Born". As a UD student, this place was the best part of my last year. I ate two of my three meals a day here and drank at least an entire tub of their amazing coffee. The Cali is amazing, they have options to make things vegan or gluten free and the atmosphere is so chill. Friendly staff, great spot to drink coffee and study or have lunch with friends...this place literally has everything you could want. Would love to see some nachos on the menu soon! read more
