    Veggie in Focaccia
    Rebecca H.

This is my third review of the day so I am running out of steam but I will do my best to do Pinji's justice. We ordered from here for lunch during our recent stay in Wilmington. I was planning on ordering a coffee but that quickly changed when I saw bubble tea on the menu. I ordered a taro. I was pleased by their vegetarian options and opted for their veggie on focaccia. This was served on the most delicious bread you can imagine with a really delightful crunch. The bread pretty much made the sandwich in all honesty but the roasted red peppers, mozz, tomato, lettuce, hummus, and pesto didn't hurt. I don't recall detecting the pesto in the flavor profile but overall, it was a very enjoyable sandwich. The bubble tea was great but it was frozen. It was very bizarre. I wasn't expecting this and I don't remember this being mentioned on the menu. GF ordered the well being sandwich, which she reports was "excellent" as well as hash browns which were soggy. This place serves up solid sandwiches and I would recommend giving them a try if that is what you are in the mood for.

Hungover on the weekend and ordered Pinjis Cafe through DoorDash. Who doesn't want breakfast sandwiches and ramen for breakfast. We were astounded by how delicious everything was. We ordered: - mocha coffee - pinji breakfast sandwich on crossiant - bulgogi ramen - bulgogi breakfast burritos Will be back!

Bulgogi wrap... and passionfruit boba tea.

This little cafe is quite the hidden gem! Tucked across the street from the majority of the Trolley Square establishment, Pinji's Cafe is easily overlooked, but I'm telling you: it is 100% worth crossing the street, even at that annoying 5-way intersection. The bulgogi wrap is amazing --- perfectly seasoned Korean beef with fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and red onion, finished with a spicy mayo and served with a little bag of potato chips. Beverage-wise, I will admit I was not a fan of the coffee. However, they have excellent boba tea, so I'm going to call it a win. I would like to try their ramen one day, but it may take an act of God to convince me not to order the bulgogi wrap again and again and again...

Busy as hell. Customer service is not their strong suit at all...but the bulgogi breakfast burrito is really solid.

From that perspective, you can't go wrong trying out one of the regular or special drinks. I haven't eaten much food, but this time I got a chicken quesidilla and it was not very good. The chicken was didn't appear to be the best quality, it was very bland and while I love cheese it just felt like it was very heavy without much flavor. Perhaps there are other things on the menu that are better, but this was a miss for me. I have had their charcuterie offerings during events and happy hours which seem to be made with quality ingredients.

I arrived late morning on a Sunday and it was not busy at all. No greeting when I came through the door nor when I got to the counter. The counter girl actually stood at the register for almost 2 mins not even looking up or acknowledging me. She then proceeded to walk away to the kitchen for a moment and returned, apologized, and took my order. Bit awkward of an interaction when she returned. Location was beautiful located at the art museum.

Two of us had the mushroom quiche, which was outstanding -- a perfect balance of egg and cream, with delicious, hearty mushrooms. The Chardonnay was wonderful, and judging by the wine case, they seem to have a thoughtfully curated selection from France. My partner arrived a bit later and ended up bringing home what may have been the best pizza either one of us has ever had. As if that weren't enough, we were back in the area again today and had our third straight meal here. I had the turkey baguette sandwich and, yes, another glass of the same delicious Chardonnay. My partner had the deviled eggs and a fresh mozzarella, tomato, and pesto sandwich. Everything was excellent, and we're so glad we found this place!
