Great place, lots on the menu. Large selection of chai and coffees, cakes, bars. Eclectic industrial brick and conduits with neat tables and seating.

This cafe has such a beautiful calming ambiance! I ordered the coconut chai and it was refreshing and not too sweet! The service was perfect! the only complaint I have is that it was pretty hot inside the cafe. I also had a carrot loaf slice which was an excellent pairing with the chai!

Cafe Emis - This is literally a gyro from Greece, I'm not going to lie.

I really enjoyed my late lunch/early dinner with my husband at Cafe Emis. I called in advance to…read moreorder the vegan spanakopita because the website indicated it took an hour to make. The nice young man explained that was if a customer requested a WHOLE pie, but he said he would put two slices aside for us, just in case they sold out. Great service, sight unseen, right? So, we arrived-- got two vegan gyros, bags of chips, a slice of cake, some unexpectedly delicious fig oat milk lattes. Oh, and the spanakopita was divine. We would be at Cafe Emis every weekend if it was closer and we didn't have to drive through the funkiest parts of Lancaster/Chester County to get there. LOL. I highly recommend the food, service, and ambiance. Just an overall nice dining experience.

There are some touch-ups that are needed some of the cushions from the booths maybe fraying a little bit, but overall nice job with the interior design. Very well done. I started drinking the cacao banana smoothie and I added peanut butter which is a must-do, it is so good. I love the creamy feeling of it not too thin not too thick just right. The next thing that I ordered was the Greek chili style soup, unfortunately they kind of were slim on filling it up to the top it's just about 2/3 of the way filled up. They could have at least given me a little bit more. Especially for the price of it. I had some Rosemary and Olive chips with it, the chili was really good they added some onions feta cheese and cilantro which really is a game changer. Must have if you are a soup person, so good! Nice kick to it. Had the potatoes with feta...seems like I was going Feta crazy when ordering haha but the potatoes were delicious as well. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Great job chef! Well ...when I went to visit Athens I remember ordering a Gyro and this cafe tastes just like the one from Greece, I died and went to Greece for a second. Great place to visit! I gave a 4 star because of the soup, I think it should definitely be filled to the top especially if you're paying that much for it. Overall, great job Emis!

Totally forgot how amazing their lattes are. About to get my second for the morning. Not sure if it's spring break around here or not, but there are a lot of families with small kids around, so bring some headphones if you come here to work. The latte's worth it, though.

It is also much larger inside than you would think until you are in the space. There is a ton is space and a ton of seating dotted around the raw wood and metal interior and it feels very inviting to sit and spend time, enjoy pastries with friends, or even sit and get some work done, as it is not loud, but a very nice version of quiet. Never getting too loud even when the crowd picks up a bit or lots of orders are popping. The coffee was delicious. Made perfectly and just how it should be. Espresso drinks too the list for me, but there were so many different choices, and they all looked outstanding. However, where The Farmhouse really shines is in the crazy good pastries. They are so light and fluffy, so perfectly flavorful. The fruit tart was possibly one of the best baked goods I've had in many years. The effort that is put into producing their treats is definitely felt, and I am not sure if they make everything in house, but it certainly feels like it. There are many places that have great pastries, but not many get the European-style light and airy style just right with a bazillion layers. This place is at the pinnacle of that baking game. If you are in the area in the first half of the day, you value a good pasty, good coffee, nice people and a nice space, you should definitely make you're way to the Farmhouse. If you are nearby it's definitely worth a trip and if I lived closer, I could easily see this being my daily go-to. You will not find a fruit tart this good very often, so don't pass by and get there now and enjoy!
