Each time I visit a town/city that I don't go into frequently, I aways try black coffee from coffee shop. If my husband and I like the coffee, we will purchase whole beans for our coffee maker. Today, we tried two different blends of coffee, and they were excellent- we bought a bag. It was clean on the inside, and the service was friendly. What an amazing find. Traveling for a lacrosse tournament and came upon this great coffee spot with amazing service. The staff is extremely friendly and the coffee is good. I ordered a hot latte to go. They had bakery items and a spacious area to dine in. They are closed on Sunday. Would absolutely recommend. read more

Super cute coffee house with homemade pastries and donuts. My chocolate cake donut with chocolate icing just melted in my mouth! Just the right combination of moist cake and the icing. I'm one of *those* people who doesn't like coffee, but let me tell you the hot chocolate was silky smooth. Prepared by a professional. I'll take this over that Seattle chain any day. The atmosphere is cozy coffee shop on the nose. Whether you want to meet, lounge, or work - you can find the perfect spot at Wholly Grounds. Their donuts are amazing and made in-house. While their breakfast sandwich wasn't my favorite, I attribute that to use of the English muffin - which is also not my favorite. Service is friendly and quick, and I also enjoyed visiting the truck in the BBs lot when it was around and I was in a rush. read more

I'm from out of town boston Somerville mass area. I have phenomenal coffee shops near me. This place tops them all I went every day for latte mocha or coffee and egg Brahm sandwich plus when I discovered the home made donuts cooked abd frosted to perfection I was hooked. I loved the generous seating and high ceilings for hood COVID ventilation. The vibe was warm and welcoming. I ended up buying a hand knitted hat by the owner with Pom Pom and love it soft snd warm. Just recently discovered this cute place and I'm so glad I did. They have a great selection of coffees, lattes, great homemade donuts and a few breakfast selections that were really good and fresh. I ordered the large sugar-free cookie dough latte with a coconut donut and a breakfast burrito with fresh salsa. They were all so good I hated to finish them. We will definitely be back! Just bought 2 iced lattes this morning along with 2 cookies. The cookies tasted like they had been sprayed with cleaner and the drinks were the worst I had ever had. They weren't even cold. I just read a review by an unhappy coffee drinker at Wholly Grounds, and I must say to everyone, IF YOU EVER GET SOMETHING THERE THAT IS NOT UP TO YOUR STANDARDS OR UNSATISFACTORY, SAY SOMETHING. These folks don't want anyone leaving that coffee shop unhappy, displeased, grumpy, or unprepared for the realities of the world outside their doors. I promise, and if you think otherwise, I will buy you a coffee and muffin or donut right now. We pay it forward there all the time. Even if it was 2:00, Cheryl would gladly brew another fresh pot and be apologizing all over the place. They all care. I am thinking that MAYBE it was a day when some young person was filling in for a bit and not totally aware of the Hamm's commitment to being small-town America at its best. They will even be roasting their own beans here soon and everyone knows about the fresh, homemade donuts frying just as you enter the door, and other homemade pastries, soup, and sandwiches too.
