Wonderful fresh produce from local farms, major producers' frozen foods, fresh dairy and cheese, shelves groaning with bargains, extra specials after major holidays, huge range of International products, kind,helpful Amish staff and ownership. I would give it 0 stars if I could. I got hired here 2023 and worked until may 2024. The manager Jermey was absolutely rude. I had an incident where I was working produce and a lady with 2 cops behind her was touching me and thinking I was someone she knew and I walked away crying and no manager did a god damn thing to keep me safe. Best bargains around! A thrifter's haven! If you're squeamish about manufacturer code dates, it's not for you. For the rest of us who understand what those dates mean, it saves so much money on groceries and even toiletries and home goods. If you don't eat meat or dairy, there's plenty of fresh produce, plant milks and other plant based products for a fraction of regular retail. People might ask, is it still good out of date? Most people know that things have to have expiration dates, or things will sit forever. I have shopped at BB's for years and never had a bad product. The date is truly an estimate. If it's a bottle or can, as long as it's not popped. If it's chocolate and it turns white, it's just the oil coming to the top because of temperature differences. The rest of the food is good for months. Try an item that is out of date,and you'll find it won't turn you into zombie, and you might even hold you thru thru an apocalypse. read more

The employees are always so nice! The shelves are stocked at all times! The prices are sooooo good! I actually stock up on cereal and pantry items to donate to local food banks. Some things are expired, but I just check dates. And honestly, cereal doesn't "expire" on the date the box says! Just saying! LOL I have been going to BBs for over 25 years! 80% of this store is expired, so make sure you have a lot of time to waste when coming here because you have to check every single date if you care about that sorta thing. I filled my cart about half full, full of mostly snacks (it's a great place to find new/interesting snacks) and I only spent $35. It is VERY cheap here, some finds are unbelievable when you see the price. Not super clean or super organized but very friendly staff, mostly Amish. An example of something you will find here is frozen pizza normally $7.99 at food lion is $2.99 here but expired 10/21 I did find a bunch of juice boxes, packs of 8 for $.80 that didn't expire until next year so I stocked up on those. read more

This place is full of hidden gems! The biggest deals I find are on kids' vitamins, diapers, pullups, yogurt, high end fruit juices and granola/snack bars. Also bread is always .99. All kinds, whole grain, white, raisin, rolls, etc. Blueberries and strawberries are $1-2. Yes, you need to check the dates. But a sell by date of 30 days ago, for a $15 bottle of kids' EmergenC, for $2? I will stock up! The same with Smarty Pants vitamins, hair dye, and did I mention Starbucks coffee? Formerly Folgers' customers. And we make 2 full pots a day between the 6 coffee drinkers here per day. Now we are spoiled, drinking the good stuff! The freezer section has pizzas fairly inexpensive. And sometimes homemade Amish meatballs. Which are less than $5 for 9 big meatballs. I keep an eye out! read more

I love this store. I have been shopping at the Quarryville location for a long time, and this one is a welcome addition as it is in a somewhat different location which is often closer to me, depending on where I am and what I'm doing. Like the other BB's locations, this place has an exceptional produce selection with lots of small, high-quality apples and an assortment of other stuff. The rest of the store is very hit-or-miss but is reliably good because the quality of products is high and the prices are absolutely rock bottom. We're talking prices between 1/2 and 1/10th of retail value, sometimes even cheaper. You do have to check expiration dates, especially on any products containing oil or fats because some of the products are expired, and you don't want to be consuming any rancid oils. But for hard cracker containing no fats, or for any products before the expiration dates, or hardware that doesn't expire like scrubby pads or hair accessories, this store is a gold mine. I would give this place 5 stars, but this place has been somewhat sloppy about safety during the COVID pandemic. It's frustrating, because normally this place is actually very clean, but there are a lot of customers in here who either aren't wearing masks at all, or aren't wearing them properly (i.e. below the nose.) Also some of the employees are wearing face shields only but no masks. Everything I've read has said that face shields provide minimal protection against spreading COVID from the person wearing it to others. During this pandemic, I've had 2 relatives hospitalized, and I myself had a rough case that took months to even partly recover from. It's frustrating for me to see this place not taking the pandemic seriously. Because this is such a serious concern, it's causing me to dock this place 2 stars. I will probably return here, but only after I've been fully vaccinated. Until then, they can do without my business. read more

Great place and super cheap grocery. A bit far from our location but worth the drive.

Avoid at all cost. Families of 5 without face masks. 30 percent of the store without face masks. We spoke to management (with there mask under there nose) about our concerns. Management told us they can not enforce there employee wearing masks because no one can breathe. My wife and I work in healthcare and this business does not get it. this is an update to my previous review. Because of Bidenflation, this discount grocery is extremely busy. You can still find some bargains, but many of the things I shop for are gone to the competing shoppers. Besides the crowds, staff are always restocking with their carts and products on one side of the isle while they restock on the other which narrows the isle passage making it difficult to get through the crowded store. Today I was browsing the gluten free flours when a woman asked could she move my cart. I said yes, then she moved it 3 more times crowding me. She couldn't find what she wanted so elicited the assistance of the stock girl. They were both on the floor reaching through the bottom of my cart and pushing around jars and bottles on the shelf around my feet. I got annoyed about being crowded and moved out of the area with my cart angrily. No need to be angry sang the customer is a sweet voice, easy for her to say, she wasn't being harassed. Both the customer and the clerk were rude and I think I'll now shop at my local store. read more

i like bb's in general but this one is the best so far, clean, well stocked and organized , if you go its worth it. i used to drive to morgantown about once a month but oxford is only about 40 minutes for me. fresh bread for 99 , eggs for 89 cereal for about 2 bucks. bags of brand name candy for a dollar. if you never filled your shopping cart for 50 bucks your missing out read more

I shop at all BBS Grocery Outlets. They clean every cart before a customer takes it. Friendly staff and helpful. 3 months ago few wore masks, but when the Governor mandated masks they went beyond the government's requirements. I like this store in particular as I have come to know the staff. Clean and safe. read more
