When you walk in it feels like you're walking into another world, somewhere modern and chic. I love the feel of the cafe. There are some touch-ups that are needed some of the cushions from the booths maybe fraying a little bit, but overall nice job with the interior design. Very well done. I started drinking the cacao banana smoothie and I added peanut butter which is a must-do, it is so good. I love the creamy feeling of it not too thin not too thick just right. The next thing that I ordered was the Greek chili style soup, unfortunately they kind of were slim on filling it up to the top it's just about 2/3 of the way filled up. They could have at least given me a little bit more. Especially for the price of it. I had some Rosemary and Olive chips with it, the chili was really good they added some onions feta cheese and cilantro which really is a game changer. Must have if you are a soup person, so good! Nice kick to it. Had the potatoes with feta...seems like I was going Feta crazy when ordering haha but the potatoes were delicious as well. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Great job chef! Well ...when I went to visit Athens I remember ordering a Gyro and this cafe tastes just like the one from Greece, I died and went to Greece for a second. Great place to visit! I gave a 4 star because of the soup, I think it should definitely be filled to the top especially if you're paying that much for it. Overall, great job Emis! read more

Great little café! Made a brief stop in Kennett Square on our way home from NJ to Baltimore. Amazing variety of sandwiches, salads, and entrées. My sister and I got a Greek salad and a chicken wrap and shared both. We also got a really yummy peach iced tea. The staff was very sweet and attentive. read more

First visit and we ordered the lemon chicken plate with a side salad. The marinaded chicken was incredible! My husband's chicken was quite dry/overcooked but the flavors were great. We loved the side salad served with a slice of feta cheese on top, along with a dolma! We waited a very long time for our meals to arrive at our table. A server came by to thank us for our patience. Not sure if they were training or what the delay was but, we enjoyed when it finally arrived. The atmosphere is very casual, bright and cheery. We will return! read more

We rerouted our return home in order to score breakfast as Cage Emis. First off, the yogurt parfait. Best yogurt you will ever have topped with strawberries, blueberries, granola and honey - oh that honey! I added walnuts but honestly, this alone would be a perfect start to any day. Avocado toast gets an upgrade with a modest schmear of cream cheese (I've got to try this at home!) and some everything bagel seasoning on top of the egg. Milo's featured a super light frittata/crepe of egg. And that Greek coffee! Super amusing and charming waiter. Great ambiance. We'll be back! read more

I really enjoyed my late lunch/early dinner with my husband at Cafe Emis. I called in advance to order the vegan spanakopita because the website indicated it took an hour to make. The nice young man explained that was if a customer requested a WHOLE pie, but he said he would put two slices aside for us, just in case they sold out. Great service, sight unseen, right? So, we arrived-- got two vegan gyros, bags of chips, a slice of cake, some unexpectedly delicious fig oat milk lattes. Oh, and the spanakopita was divine. We would be at Cafe Emis every weekend if it was closer and we didn't have to drive through the funkiest parts of Lancaster/Chester County to get there. LOL. I highly recommend the food, service, and ambiance. Just an overall nice dining experience. read more

This place is AMAZING. Everything is fresh and made to order. They use fresh/clean ingredients, which is hard to find. I got the protein wrap and belly comfort juice. Both were great! The juice wasn't very sweet but I expected it since I read that they don't use extra sweetener. It was very fresh tasting drink, definitely cleans your pallet. I also had one of the pastries, unfortunately I cannot remember what it was called but it had vanilla, was flakey, and had cinnamon sprinkled on top. It was honestly one of the best pastries I've ever had. It tasted like the smell of passing an ice cream shop. The experience was 10/10, ALL of the servers were incredibly nice and attentive. First the positive...located in the heart of Kennet Square the cafe was easily seen from the street and had very appealing interior. With several tables for dinning it was very pleasant, with a bright pleasant aesthetic. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu. I decided to get the Avocado Club w/chips along with the Mango Smoothie...while hubby got the Mediterranean Bowl with Chicken. He also got a piece of the Baklava. We were not happy with any of our items. The Smoothie was very heavy on the yogurt which overwhelmed the mango - it wasn't sweet enough for me at all. The Club sandwich came on a Texas toast bread which over powered the entire sandwich. The chicken within the sandwich was overcooked and a bit tough. The Mediterranean Bowl - was not a bowl in hubby's opinion. The rice tasted similar to minute rice with some olive oil and parsley drizzled on top. The chicken was seasoned but tasted ok. They then placed a few pita chips, tomatoes and onions on it and called it a day. We were not impressed...the meal was underwhelming. Lastly this meal totaled a bit over $53, when I could go to another spot in Newark De and get two bowls for half that price that taste much much better. Had a very nice interior with plants flowers, and very cool patterns for the wall design. Also had food out on display for people that may not be as familiar with the place to see.
