We missed our turn when trying to turn in from the west. We persevered and are glad we did! We ate appetizers and dessert-- Avgolemono soup was SO GOOD, especially on a cold day, and a generous serving. Sweet potato falafel was crispy on the outside and tender inside, dipped in tzatziki, with perfect seasonings. Next up, wings were PERFECTLY done, topped with feta. Love this place...we were there yesterday after visiting Hershey Chocolates, our daughter is here visiting from Okinawa, we all had an awesome meal. Headed to Hershey Park on a Friday night, I wanted real food before handing over my wallet to the world of overpriced funnel cakes and mystery chicken fingers. Less than 10 minutes from the park, I found Simply Greek -- and wow, what a win! Let's start with a few quick pro tips (because Simply Greek is popular for a reason): they don't take reservations, it's first-come first-serve, and your whole crew has to be there to get seated. Parking can be tricky -- the lot's small -- but there's street parking on Lucy Ave if you get creative. Somehow, I scored a spot right out front on a Friday night, which felt like a sign from the Greek food gods that this dinner was going to be special. I had done my research beforehand and checked out the menu... which turned out to be a terrible idea, because I wanted everything. Every. Single. Thing. We showed up around 5pm and were seated right away by a super-friendly staff that already had the good-vibes energy going. We started with the Keftedes (Greek meatballs) -- five little orbs of happiness served warm with pita and a side of tzatziki ($8.99). They were perfectly juicy, seasoned just right, and that tzatziki? Heavy on the cucumber, light on the dill -- exactly how I like it. We demolished them like pros. For the main event, my dining buddy went all-in with a Build Your Own Greek Bowl -- lamb souvlaki, rice/quinoa mix, roasted veggies, tzatziki, the works. When it hit the table, it looked like something out of a foodie magazine. The lamb was tender and packed with flavor, and every bite looked like it belonged on a postcard. He was thrilled (and nearly licked the bowl). I went classic and got the Moussaka -- eggplant, ground lamb, beef, potatoes, and béchamel sauce baked into pure comfort ($16.99). It came with a "side salad," but don't let that word fool you -- this salad had ambition. Romaine, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, olives, feta, and house dressing -- everything crisp, fresh, and intentional. I ate the whole thing before my fork even touched the main dish. And the Moussaka? Oh. My. Goodness. It was enormous, piping hot, and absolutely phenomenal. The layers were perfect, the seasoning flawless, and that béchamel sauce? Some of the best I've ever had. I couldn't finish it all, but I absolutely took home the rest for a second round! For about $50 total, we walked out totally stuffed, smiling, and already planning our next trip back. This was my first time at Simply Greek, but it definitely won't be my last. This highly raved Greek join was originally delivery only and it wasn't until 2020 that it started the dine-in option. Then obvious due to its success, it moved to the current location for the larger space. The interior decor and vibe are pleasant and inviting. The menu is organized and easy to navigate. Items are fairly priced and affordable. As you enter, you see a big station with cashier counters on both ends, and the desserts proudly displayed in the middle. To the right is the dine-in area, and to the left for the takeout. We had the Lamb Souvlaki Pita ($12) and Pork Souvlaki Bowl ($12) which came with cut-up pita bread on the side. I came here with a couple of colleagues for dinner - a very good choice. I can never decide when it comes to Greek food because I really like it all, so I decided to overload myself with a sampling of foods: horiatiki salad (a small is like dinner plate size, just for the record), tiropita, keftedes, oven lemon potatoes, and zucchini fritters (which we shared as an appetizer). Well hear it is one month later and we were back in Hershey. Our experience with Simple Greek on our last visit was so positive that we came back again on this visit. This time we came for Lunch and were more than pleased with the lunch items we ordered. The only caution might be that these dishes are Very Large (especially considering the salad). We both thought that at lunch we could have split the order and still had plenty to eat. I chose Lamb Youvetsi, which is Tender Braised Lamb Stew, served over tomato orzo. The Traditional Dishes comes with a perfect Salad. My wife went for the Moussaka, Eggplant layered with Ground Lamb, Beef and Potato. Topped with bechamel sauce and oven-baked. Dessert only review The inside is clean and spacious. The lady working the counter was super helpful and helped us look through the menu and explained the few things we hadn't heard of before. We tried one of each of the homemade Greek yogurt soft serve flavors and the baklava cheesecake ...the baklava cheesecake was very delicious but the pastry part of it was very difficult to eat since the cream cheese softened the pastry into a sturdy solid piece instead of flaky. Out of all of the yogurt flavors we tried, which were baklava, honey, olive oil, and sour cherry. We all had different favorites. I was so excited to try their new location! I knew it was an expanded menu and more space to sit down and enjoy my meal! My friend and I started off by sharing the fried feta. It was our first time trying it, and it was a combination of sweet and savory. We each went with the chicken souvlaki platter that contain two skewers, french fries, rice, Greek salad, and pita. I am not sure how to feel about this place yet,, I think I have to give it another try or maybe I had high expectations. We ordered the Greek fries which were a bit soggy and not crispy as I was hoping. We also ordered the halloumi sticks which were good and not too greasy, I recommend a bit of lemon juice on top. We also ordered a gyro salad with gyro and fries on top, it was so big but was light and delicious, highly recommend it. Lastly I ordered the traditional lamb stew with orzo , I was very excited about it but it tasted very tart as if they put too much tomato paste inside, I wouldn't recommend it. Customer service is fantastic here and people seem to be genuinely kind , I am hoping to try more menu options and to try many of their desserts in the future. This place is amazing! We had stopped by Simply Greek when they were in their previous location a couple years ago when we were driving through town. Well, when we were driving through town today, we had to stop. We were so excited to see that they had a new, larger location because with how good with food is, more people need to be able to enjoy it. Our server Anna recommended the Spicy Feta dip and it was so delicious - I dipped the pita bread, fries, gyro, etc all in it. It was that good, it just tasted good on everything! The gyro has that perfect texture of a little bit of crisp. The rice has rich a refreshing flavor that I don't normally get from our Greek restaurants. I truly wish this restaurant was where we lived because I guarantee I would be coming here once a week. If you haven't tried it, get over there right now! :) read more

I used to love this place but the last couple of times I've gone, it took a while for someone to acknowledge that we had arrived. There were plenty of staff milling about and in view of the entry ways who didn't even look up from what they were doing. The very last time I was there it was so chaotic, disorganized, and staff were rude because of their own lack of communication. The food was decent, but honestly the customer service wasn't great. Entering there was the counter to order but also we were greeted and asked if we wanted a table which we did so we followed. EVERYTHING on the menu sounded amazing!!! Our entrees were chicken souvlaki with rice, fries, Greek salad, tzatziki sauce and pita. Lamb gyro wrap. The only disappointment was the rice! This is the first time that I've been given uncle Ben's rice, at a Greek restaurant, instead of the usual long grained basmati rice. Don't know why because I am able to buy it for myself so it's very unusual that a Greek restaurant wouldn't have it and serve it. Everything else was well seasoned and cooked well. This platter was a fair price for the portions you get. The restaurant itself smelled and looked clean. The staff was very attentive and very friendly. My favorite was the lamb gyro, flavorful but was lacking, needed more of everything, for the price. It only had sauce at the opening and nothing in middle or end. The salad was minimal as well as the few strips of meat. Nonetheless, it's one of the best Greek places in the area. We love Greek food and were excited to try out Simply Greek. It was Sunday afternoon and the place was hopping, though still plenty of tables. We started out with a nice cappuccino, which definitely was "nice" but smaller than you'd get at other restaurants, which contributed to the authentic feel of the experience. We decided to order something called, I forgot the actual name, but something like the "feast for two" because for $39 it offered a sampling of many things, like chicken kebabs (2), ground beef kabobs (2), a generous portion of gyro meat, and a couple of lamb chops, all on a bed of French fries! It should have been called "feast for four" because we didn't come close to eating even half! To round out the experience we ordered some tabbouleh and later some baklava. Overall, the service, ambience and food were all excellent! There were some things, however, that we were less appreciative about. For example, it seemed like every 2 minutes or so (no exaggeration), someone was asking us how our meal was going. I appreciate the emphasis on service, but that was a bit much. The flavor of all the meats was excellent, however the lamb chops were a little on the charred side. Flavor was still good but could have been juicier. The fries had a great flavor, absorbing the juices from the meats, but they inevitably became soggy, which my wife thought was pretty great, but it was less great for me. Finally, the desert. True confession we got only one baklava and the other was baklava cheesecake. The idea of combining baklava and cheesecake is, admittedly, genius. But it's not easy to eat gracefully. If you're at the restaurant in a professional context, or if it's a first date, you probably should order something else. BEST GREEK FOOD EVER!! Better than the Mad Greek in Barto, CA. Fabulous Moussaka, Pastitsio and stuffed grape leaves. All the entrees have been great as well as the deserts. My husband loved the salmon. Excellent service, wonderful wait staff. Good selection of beers. This is my favorite place, which is an hour away but always worth the trip. LOVE the new location! It is so spacious and very inviting inside. The staff is also very kind and attentive...you feel welcomed right away. Now for the food/drinks: To start, my friend and I got the Halloumini cheese sticks and the Melitzanosalata (eggplant) dip. The dip was my favorite!!! It was the perfect balance of flavors and spices, tasted super fresh AND was served with warm pita bread...you can't go wrong. I wanted to love the halloumini sticks, but they sort of just reminded me of a mozzarella stick you would get from the grocery store. I wish they had some spices or some other flavor that made them pop. Then, I got the build-your-own chicken bowl. This chicken was so tasty! I really loved the portion because now I have lunch tomorrow. The one criticism I have with my entree would be their rice/quinoa mix. I read a different review that said their rice tasted like Uncle Bens quick rice...and I hate to agree with them, but they are correct. Maybe they can look into using authentic medium grain or long grain rice? Lastly, I would like comment about my drink. I got their unsweetened iced tea. I know it sounds boring, but it had herbal notes and was actually slightly sweet due to the earthy quality. I really enjoyed how refreshing it was. As a medical student in the Hershey area, Simply Greek has been a support system when school gets rough and I'm craving a hearty meal that also is fresh and healthy. From the crispy feta fries to more standard Greek dishes like Gyros and Pasitio (essentially a "Greek lasagna.." but, in my opinion, way better than an Italian lasagna), the food is always well-executed and delicious. The restaurant is counter service but there is comfortable seating if you choose to dine in. The restaurant is always clean though can be busy so would recommend calling ahead if you plan to do take-out (particularly during Lunch hours). We love this place as it is consistent, offers huge portions, and is decently affordable for students. Simply Greek is a hidden gem in Hershey! My family always orders from here because of their very generous portions and flavorful food. First, the fresh pita bread is probably the best I've had at any Greek restaurant. It's chewy, warm, and soft, and the best part... they pack a ton of it into every take out order!! While their hummus was really tasty and well seasoned, I preferred the tzatziki, that was packed with cucumber and herbs, and not too gloppy or heavy at all. The regular greek salad is also great, and the proportions of everything in it are perfect. By that I mean they didn't skimp on the kalmata olives! Everything is also chopped up to be roughly the same size, which is also something I really appreciate in a salad. The "village" Greek salad wasn't as appealing to me, as it just included big triangles of cheese on top, but other members of my family liked it. The chicken kebabs are also very flavorful, and most importantly, never dry! The pork ones on the other hand were very tough and difficult to get off of the skewer. But their flavor was solid, and all of the kebabs complimented all of the salads and creamy dips perfectly. They also came with a generous amount of grilled lemon wedges to drizzle over the top. read more

The pita was so soft and yummy, the beef/lamb mixture was perfect. It had a great mixture of the beef/lamb, onions, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce. You get a nice sized portion for $10 and it will definitely fill you up. I'm a 6'3" fat guy and it takes a lot to fill me up but this did it. I also then had the traditional baklava and it was also heaven in my mouth. A nice sized portion. I made sure to take a picture of it this time. Everything was fantastic. Did not have to wait long for it. This place is like a fast food but you can tell that everything is made with love. If you are a fan of Greek food, you need to try this place.
