Needed this after a long day, shish-kabob, chicken and beef were all flavorful. Kind of wish the babaganoush was a bit less salty but could be personal preference. Added a side of their popular fattoush salad which was very refreshing!

First off the packaging was neat and clean, with each item carefully packed. As I opened each container, steam rose up,carrying the deep, rich aroma of the spices and seasonings-it was enough to make my mouth water before I even took bite. Now,let me share what I ordered. PLAIN NANA,soft fresh and flavorful evenon it's own. Sometimes simple is best! CHICKEN MOMO & DIPPING SAUCE, the dumplings were just the right size, filled generously with juicy chicken. The dipping sauce was smooth and full of flavor, without being too spicy. Perfect for someone like me who prefers milder heat. I should've ordered more sauce, thought! Next time,I won't forget. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA,the portion size was just right, and the sauce had a slight kick of spice, but nothing overwhelming. It wasn't too thick or heavy - it costed my rice perfectly without overpowering it.YES! I love it on my rice and I have to say the rice was fluffy and we'll cooked, making each bit even more enjoyable. Everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be ordering again. If you haven't tired this spot yet, I highly recommend it.

The interior dining area is relatively small and clean, though I would not recommend it for large gatherings. I thoroughly enjoyed the "get that corn outta my face" and was thankful to have the option for it in a bowl (otherwise I wouldn't have tried it.) it was a unique blend of flavors and textures that had me questioning the first bite or two, but the more I ate it, the more I liked it. (If you get the bowl, I recommend stirring it up first to evenly distribute the ingredients.) Service was prompt and courteous when they brought each of the meals to our table. This is a counter style establishment, so that was appreciated. The theme of the restaurant focuses on the Nacho Libre movie (menu items named after key movie points) and other movies focused on luchadores. It is unfortunate that the thumb wrestling rings never returned to the tables following Covid. This is a fun and laidback place to grab a quick bite. I love the quirky atmosphere and the delicious food. My recommendation would be to go during down times so you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere without the wait.

More TVs, great music, and lively atmosphere . The facilty is clean, bright and great temperature. 4) management -attentive , on there game and active 5) bartenders , friendly , attentive and fast 6) serving staff, attentive , friendly and going once a week , they actually recognize you and are so greatful for your patronage. In addition , the staff stays, so its not a constant rotation of new people. 7) family friendly -yes great place for kids to watch a game but understand its a restaurant with a bar so be mindful that certain times and days are best. Example , Saturday night after 8:30, 3rd and Spruce gets a great adult crowd, its more of a fun bar atmosphere and not best for kids at that time and day. With how close Great Wall is to me, it's a bit surprising I don't eat here on a weekly basis. I…read moresuppose it's the health-conscious, more mature me making that decision. As it stands, I eat here maybe twice a year? But when I do, the experience is magical. Absence, as they say, makes the girth of my waist grow fatter and my physical features exceedingly grotesque. This place has just been so damn deliciously consistent. While Tokyo Hibachi and Zhuang's Garden have seen their quality steadily nosedive, Great Wall tastes just as good now as it did the first time I tried it all those years ago. The hot & sour soup is head and shoulders above any other Chinese restaurants' offerings in a 10 mile radius. Now even though I live a few blocks away, I'd drive, well, 10 miles just to have this soup. It has that perfect gloopy, almost gelatinous consistency. This is a gross comparison, but it's almost mucousy? But super flavorful mucous with secret Chinese spices, like MSG. It's so thick, in fact, that you can use it as an impromptu sauce on white rice or lo mein. Perhaps even mei fun if you're feeling adventurous. Great Wall one of the growing number of Chinese restaurants to move away from those foldable white cardboard containers. You know, the ones that everyone eats out of in movies when they're working late at the office. It's so welcome to see those rectangular plastic containers that stack easier and - perhaps most importantly - are microwave safe. Ever put one of those old containers in the microwave, forgetting they have that thin metal handle and nearly explode your microwave and burn the house down? Yeah, not ideal. I have to emphasize the lo mein, a fan favorite. There's something that sets it apart, and I think it's a hint of sautéed garlic. Also they fry off the noodles a bit more, allowing them to absorb all the flavor from the wok. Nothing's worse than bland lo mein. I can't even order it at some places anymore because it's my favorite and they've nearly ruined it for me. Luckily Great Wall has restored my faith. My other go-tos are the moo goo gai pan (a relatively healthy chicken & vegetable dish) and Szechuan chicken (when I want some extra spice). Parking can be tricky since it's right on Penn Ave. West Reading is pretty much back in full gear, so street parking fills up fast, especially in the evenings. The greedy owners of the parking lot across the street would rather have spots go to waste than let people park there and enjoy the downtown atmosphere (unless they pay premium for a parking pass, that is). Fortunately I have never run into any rudeness from the employees. Perhaps it's due to the Asian connection. Even though I'm super American, sometimes I pretend to struggle with the English language so the staff of Chinese restaurants accept me as their own. Hey, it's a dog eat dog world, and you gotta take any advantage you can get to make it out alive.

For food, of course the chicken wings are their staple food and the quality is good. They have a standard of allowing you to choose multiple wing sauces for wing orders of 10 or more. This is great because it doesn't restrict you to one flavor for large orders of wings. The burgers, pasta, and salads are also very good. Fun restaurant and bar in the Reading, PA area!…read more My friends and I were traveling through Pennsylvania and we wanted dinner, a place to watch a football game, and good food/beer. We found Brewer's on Yelp and and were very happy with our visit. Brewer's had a local feel to do it and a lively atmosphere for a Thursday night. The food menu has a large selection of different types of food so almost anyone can find something to eat. Great selection of beer with a lot of regional offerings. Also seem to run a special for different types of alcohol for most nights of the week ($6 large draft IPA beer on Thursday night). I ordered the brisket meatloaf sandwich that came with BBQ sauce and gouda cheese on top. The sandwich was very tasty and I especially enjoyed the pretzel roll it was served on. I liked that I was able to substitute a side of perogies instead of chips. The moon ranch grilled chicken sandwich was a little underwhelming and the moon sauce was the only positive to that sandwich. The service was good and our server checked back in with us multiple times during our visit. There's also a beer outlet with a large selection of craft beer attached to the restaurant so you can take local craft beer home with you. They call themselves a small place with the BIG selection!
