Tom Kla soup (I paused eating it to take this picture lol)
    Kate H.

The best Tom Kla soup my dad (who's a Tom Kla connoisseur) or I have ever had. So flavorful and fresh. The Pad Thai is also amazing, the perfect bite to the noodles with a wonderful sauce and perfect chicken. It was also pretty inexpensive at $25 for Pad Thai and Tom Kla, both with chicken. The staff were great. We got lost on the way () so I called back and the person who took my order was super sweet and gave me directions. We got there to pick up a takeout order right as they were closing but they were still so nice. I only went in briefly, but the interior looked cute and the exterior was awesome, it looked like a home. One of if not the best Thai places I've ever been to. We're definitely going back and I'd recommend to anyone looking for Thai food in the Reading area.

This guys is very mean. He seems not to care for the clients and costumer service.

This guys is very mean. I was calling to get an order to be ready while I walk to the place and he hang out the phone 3 times saying that I can do an online order. My break from the hospital is only 30 minutes and I wanted to accelerate the order. When I got to the restaurant I told him that he was no nice and he make me wait and told me "you can go to another place". I told him in a nice way that it was not a good costumer service. I hope the owner of this restaurant can approach this message and do something about his actitud and service since he seems not to care about it. The food otherwise is really good 5 starts food

    Crab fried rice

Authentic Thai experience. Although I probably wouldn't know an authentic Thai experience if it bit me in the ass. The only Thai I've ever eaten was at American Thai restaurants. It's like if I went to Panda Garden Heaven Delight and called that authentic Chinese. All I have ever known about Chinese food is American Chinese. Probably not the most authentic. But delicious nonetheless. Every noodle dish is a hit. The drunken noodles have great heat and lots of fresh mixed veggies. A fried egg is a nice touch. Can't go wrong with the Pad Thai, either. Hint of spice and a great lime zest. There's an element of sourness as well. A splash of rice wine vinegar perhaps? It really elevated the dish. Splurged one time and got the crab fried rice. Generous portion of crab. Savory, flavorful rice. And yes, more fried egg mixed in to my delight. I do have a qualm with one dish, the Kapow - stir fried choice of meat in roasted Thai chili with fresh garlic, onion, bell pepper, basil. Sounds great, right? Well, it ends up not being so great when you find out it's basically a stripped down version of the noodle dishes without the noodles, all the while costing the same. Basically you get a quarter of a plate of chopped up meat resembling dog food (but to their credit, tasting much better). It's a purely meat and vegetable dish. They need to desperately up the portion if customers are to find any value in it. I've had food from here delivered, but sometimes when I'm feeling assertive I'll walk my lazy butt 0.3 miles down the road and pick it up myself. The staff has always been very friendly. Whenever you're craving Thai noodles - drunken, Pad Thai, or otherwise - Spoonful will satisfy your urge. The fried rice is also a huge hit. Definitely a welcome addition to the West Reading strip.

I was hoping for the best with this place because I was really in the mood for some good Thai food. This is the definition of a "hipster" Thai spot. Definitely caters to the West Reading crowd from the look of the spot to the taste of the food. Very bland. Here's what I got: -Egg roll ($6.95): comes in an order of 5. They looked fantastic, but the flavor was lacking. I like my egg rolls greasy and flavorful, but these left more to be desired. I needed every bit of that Thai chili sauce to help make it taste like I wasn't eating air. So disappointing. -Pad See Ew ($13.95): my go-to dish at every Thai spot I try. It was watery and tasted sooo bland. I had to add my own soy sauce to make it taste like something. I think they use regular broccoli for their pad see ew and I've always seen Chinese broccoli used at other places. I prefer the Chinese broccoli. Good portion size though, but I could even eat half of it because I was so underwhelmed. -Black Sticky Rice Pudding ($7.95): I wanted mango sticky rice like I know every other Thai place to have but this is all they had. YUCK. This definitely seems like a "trendy" twist on mango sticky rice. Could've done without it. The sticky rice was good but wayyy too much of the cream to where it wasn't even like pudding. And who thought to add blueberries???? No, just no. I was so disappointed and immediately wished I went elsewhere to eat. I will not be returning.

Nobody does pad Thai like Spoonful. The service is amazing, and the food is even more amazing. Love it!!

The food was excellent. The owners were very personable. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the ambience of the restaurant, and we will come again.

Drive by slowly, a bit hidden but worth the stop.

Really enjoyed the food. Not your typical Asian / Thai. The food is delicious! Fresh and very authentic Thai. BYOB. Will definitely come again.

My husband and I tried Spoonful Thai Bistro for the first time and loved it! I've had a hard time finding good Thai food close by, so I was excited to try this one out. Delicious and authentic! We got shrimp pad thai and and a chicken cashew nut entree to share, and both were amazing (and they were great together). Amazing flavor and good portion sizes. We'll be back for sure!

"Love come quick Love come in a hurry…read moreThere's thieves in the temple tonight" (Prince) Pop Quiz! Before we dive in--do you know what the Thai word 'wat' actually means?" In Thai, "wat" refers to a Buddhist temple or monastery. Pop Quiz II for Bonus Points Raise your hand if you've ever walked into a restaurant and shared a dining room with 18 members of a book club sitting at a long table resembling a wedding dais who were excitedly discussing their month's reading assignment. Yup, chalk that one up for Thaiwat! It's a highly rated Thai restaurant in Wyomissing and we enjoyed a very nice dinner here tonight. The two servers had their work cut out for them delivering soups and salads and entrees to the book club, but when it was our turn to order, our server was friendly and very polite. We went with three choices tonight. We shared a $10.95 order of five Tulip Dumplings. They were amazing, with ground chicken, shrimp and crabmeat wrapped in a tulip shape, then steamed and served with a soy vinaigrette. My wife had a House Salad ($9.95) with assorted garden vegetables served with a house peanut sauce and topped with crispy tofu. I went with a Larb Kai Salad ($13.95) with shredded chicken, lime juice, carrots, onions, green bell pepper, and romaine lettuce, all dressed in a vinaigrette. The salad was visually stunning- a real rainbow of bright reds, greens, and orange, all mixed with a good amount of shredded chicken. It was a wonderful dish. The dining room is gorgeous, with Buddhist temple imagery all over. The food was great. The service was great. The value and pricing are reasonable. Thaiwat gets high marks in my book!

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It feels upscale without being stuffy, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. We started with the crab rangoons and then ordered five sushi rolls: the Creamy & Crispy Roll, Crunchy Crab Roll, Black Dragon Roll, Hawaii Roll, and the Volcano Roll with spicy tuna. Every single roll was fantastic. Not "some were better than others" fantastic. Not "we found a favorite and tolerated the rest" fantastic. We genuinely loved every roll that came to the table. The Volcano Roll with spicy tuna was my personal favorite and an easy 10/10, but honestly there wasn't a single thing we ordered that we wouldn't get again. The presentation deserves its own mention. The rolls were beautifully plated, complete with gorgeous edible flowers and thoughtful garnishes that made everything look almost too pretty to eat. Service was excellent. The food came out surprisingly quickly, but not all at once. Instead, the rolls arrived in small groups, which actually made the experience even better because we could enjoy each one before the next arrived. For two people, five specialty rolls and crab rangoons came to about $80, which is completely reasonable and honestly pretty standard for quality sushi. We will absolutely be back, and we've already started recommending Hills to Sea to friends and family. If you're a sushi lover in Lancaster County, put this place on your list immediately.
