So everything from service to location was spot on! They had helpful staff and plenty of seating in a place that looked tiny upon arrival. Do yourself a favor and get the G.O.A.T. sandwich. I've ordered that two or three times now. I happened upon Simply Bold when looking up coffee shops that weren't your average chain. I love coffee culture, and seeking out cafes and coffee shops like this one is a favorite morning thing to do. I've been here on a couple of Tuesdays and they offer complimentary drip coffee with the purchase of a sandwich. A perfect excuse for you to roll out of bed, get yourself a G.O.A.T sandwich and a coffee! I wish I knew the name of the gal who has assisted me the past two visits. She is just the sweetest and most helpful person! When you enter, they have a QR code that you scan for their menu, and they have a coffee menu posted on the wall. I recommend skimming over their muffins freshly baked and in the pastry display. I've had the mocha chip one and wish I knew the recipe so I could make them at home. They'll invite you to stroll through the boutique down the hallway if you're waiting on a food order. Please do stop in and browse. They feature items from local businesses and artists. The Park Road Cafe brings an expected taste of Soho or Brooklyn to Reading! The minimal, chic decor clues you in that the food will be "cuisine," rather than the typical "cooking" found in this town. My brunch, The Goat, offered egg, bacon, goat cheese and arugula served on an airy brioche. The portion was just right. I ate it all slowly, savoring every morsel, and left feeling satiated but not bloated. The lemon ginger tea took a long time to brew in the tea pot, but was worth the wait. We hear the coffee drinks are superior, and their impressive cafe equipment supports this supposition. Prices were completely reasonable. I'm so glad I found this spot so close to my home. Ambiance: Very cute and casual cafe. You can come in and set up your laptop for work while enjoying great music and food. I visited them today in their new location on Penn Avenue in West Reading. The new cafe is so adorable! I had a delicious tuna sandwich on really yummy bread and my favorite lavender vanilla latte. Both were delicious! My friend had the special of the day - egg salad sandwich and she loved it. She also got the fresh brewed peach tea. Their coffee and teas are very high quality. If you find yourself in the heart of the very quaint shopping district on Penn Avenue, stop in for breakfast or lunch. Very high quality ingredients in a very appealing setting. Enjoy! The atmosphere is so nice and every time I've been here it's not too busy either. This could be a great place to study and get some work done. Their food and drinks are great. I've tried the Aww Brie and the G.O.A.T and they were both delicious. The caramel macchiato is good, but iced matcha lavender latte is my favorite thing to order. The only thing I'll nitpick here are the prices. Of course, places have to make their money and by all means, they deserve it. But a drink and a sandwich could bring you just over $20 which isn't ideal for me, so I don't come here as often as I'd like do. Definitely go here though, it's a great cafe. My sister and I decided to treat ourselves to a take out breakfast, something we don't typically do but Treat Yo Self! We decided on Park Road since we hadn't try it yet, but thought the menu looked interesting. After placing the order, I wondered if the $30 price tag for breakfast sandwiches was too steep- what had I done? Was this a mistake. Spoiler alert: it was no mistake! My goodness, what an amazing breakfast! We each got a seasonal drink- a butternut pumpkin latte and pumpkin spice chai. We also tried two breakfast sandwiches, the American and the GOAT and both were the greatest breakfast sandwiches we've ever tried. Overall, I can't rave enough about this spot, honestly run to go try them out. And as if the food wasn't good enough by itself, the service was also wonderful. Enjoy coming here. It is pretty much my new favorite coffee shop. The breakfast selections that they have had are very great. Their Ketolicious Burger is amazing. I always try to get whenever I am here. I find their selection to be reasonably priced. I also love how open it is. the windows really let the light in. It is a great place to work, read a book, and/or catch up with friends. I wish they would open longer in the day though and close at 5 PM. But otherwise, an excellent cafe. read more

I'm so glad I discovered this place. I had a fantastic sandwich here!! The Awwbrie sandwich was so tasty and melty. I highly recommend it (see my pic- it's the turkey and brie sandwich). The servers were very friendly. The cappuccino I ordered did take a while to get to my table, about 15 minutes, but it was very delicious. I am leaving this scathing review on my boyfriend's behalf. The nitro cold brew he paid a whopping $6 for was just regular cold brew--no nitro at all. He said it's like ya'll didn't even try to nitrogen-ate it. He said he literally asked the barista if it was nitro and he said yes. While the American breakfast sandwich with a pot of the vanilla infused Earl Grey tea is a perfect way to start the day, it's also a lunchtime favourite. Woke up in the hotel and went on Yelp to find great coffee nearby. All the trendy coffee shops on Penn got good to mixed reviews. This one seemed to have the best food options. Old row house nicely converted. Clean and folks behind the counter were nice. The vanilla latte was 6.50 (.75 extra for vanilla syrup). A large drip coffee with a shot of expression was 5. Chose the breakfast wrap (10.95) and avocado toast (11.50). Flipped the screen and the tip options were 18, 20 and 25%. Told us the coffees would be ready at the end of the counter and handed me a restaurant buzzer for the food. Got the coffee, sat and waited. The "local roast coffee" just tasted bitter/over roasted and strong (like mediocre Starbucks). Buzzer went off. Walked to the counter and was told the food was all the way at the back of the building on the left. Walked back and food was sitting on a counter. Was surprised at the small portions. Walked to seats to eat. Nicely prepared, wrap was warm but both were bland, just OK. And here's my post(?)-COVID pet peeve. Paid 18% tip (8.15) for what service? I needed to get some work done after cutting leg day short (may have tweaked my back. swear I'm not a newbie), and I had just bookmarked this spot so I figure why not check it out. I really like how open and modern the inside is, and there's plenty of tables for seating along with a couple cute couches in the front left corner. I need open space to focus on work so this is a super plus. The coffee menu is pretty standard, so I'm docking a star for not being too original. (Still dreaming about a recent Reading coffee shop's Turmeric latte). They did have some specials though. I got a skinny caramel iced latte. Coffee was strong and not watered down at all by the ice which is usually my main complaint. I didn't have any food, but their menu sounds very tasty, and well sourced, just a little on the pricey side as such. I'll definitely try them out again, just wasn't extremely impressed for this first visit. Overall more a 3.5 than anything. read more

When I left i saw a sign on the door which I didn't see which stated all students get 10 percent off I wish the employee asked if I was a student because I would have provided my id however I didn't see it on the door until I left.
