Food 4.5/5- ramen was really yummy and the egg was perfect!! Not the best ramen I've had, but I think for this area it's pretty decent! Service 5/5- waiter was super attentive and the food was served quickly! Ambiance 4/5- small dining area which was really nice when there were just a couple people, but once more people came in, it got a bit loud since the tables are close to each other
Eatery w/ a specific demographic in mind- vibe is prized over food quality. Small, modern, interior w/ a few tables & bar stools. Strawberry Tea had sweet & fruity flavor, delivered in Japanese-motif reusable cup (that I'm STILL using!) Very cute! Beef Takkii Buns had familiar steamed dough exterior w/ greens & dressing, but meat was tough- hard to tear/chew. Noodle Wrapped Shrimp had crunchy exterior, finished w/ spicy mayo. Fried Chicken Ramen was a bland choice. Pork broth, noodles, a few green onions, & driest, toughest, most flavorless, nuggets of fried chicken skewered over top. Japanese/Asian food bursts w/ flavor & umami- this tasted like store bought bricks of ramen minus saltiness & no table condiments to liven it up. Love concept, but the food let me down, especially for how expensive tea, starters, & a bowl of noodles turned out to be. It was fun, but left me craving the authentic noodle shop experiences in big cities.
Excellent service and incredible food. Never disappointed! Takkii Ramen serves up perfection in a bowl. As always- highly recommended! You won't regret it.
Food is just absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Service is amazing! And the vibes there are comfortable and friendly! We go here as much as possible and just love the owners so much! (I don't remember the names of the foods)
Came here with my family for dinner on the way back to NJ from Virginia and this was the perfect dinner spot! The vibe was great. It was a cozy restaurant with really well done wall art. Anime fans will appreciate. Additional, our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Gave us some great recommendations and overall had a bubbly personality. The food was excellent. Not only was there a wide selection of "noodle" and "besides noodle" dishes, but there was also a bunch of specials to choose from as well. - Noodle-wrapped shrimp: get this! It was DELICIOUS. Basically a better version of fried shrimp. I could've easily eaten a bunch of those as a meal - Miso Ramen: so good! The spice was perfect and the broth was super rich and flavorful. My only knock is that the Chashu pork pieces were a bit smaller than I'd expected. But otherwise, an excellent dish. Really enjoyed the mushrooms! - Ramen special with Shrimp Tempura & karaage chicken: this was one of the specials. Had beef broth and Udon noodles. And my dad got some chili oil added to it as well. Wish it wasn't $1 just to make spicier, but oh well- it was so worth it. I loved how well the tempura batter and karaage chicken held up to the broth. Both stayed nice and crispy throughout the meal. - kaarge chicken ramen: my mom got this with no spice (not great with spicy food) and loved it. Ultimate couldn't finish so ended up getting a box to go with her leftover broth and noodles. I didn't get to try this, but she really enjoyed it. Overall, we had a lovely dinner here and would gladly come again! Best, Andrew
Atmosphere is energetic and fun. Service is prompt and courteous. The owners are lovely. Food is top notch. Pork rice bowl is delish as well as the black garlic ramen. The Boba is the juice variety- with juice bubble boba. I prefer milk tea boba with tapioca pearls but that's just my preference. Recently I went for a takeout order of Miso Ramen. I think the black garlic ramen was better. I don't know maybe b/c it was a busy dinner rush but my broth wasn't very hot and the noodles seemed a bit al dente.
This place was so cute! I love the decor for pictures. I went during their lunch special which is worth it! You get a tea, ramen and an appetizer for only $25! Everything was delicious and the broth was so tasty. The server was attentive and kind. Super quick service and I found parking down the street. Must check out if ever in West Reading.
I tried the Mango slushy boba and Spicy Beef Ramen. It was savory and did not have an overpowering salt taste. I did not care for the shredded beef but it did add great flavor to the broth. The mango slushy boba was terrific. I'll try the passion fruit next time. If the passion fruit is half as good as the mango, I'll be in for a tasty treat!
Well well well... a ramen spot in this area... finally! We've got a really great pho spot in the Faigrounds Markets, and some decent ones scattered around, but Ramen has always been at least 30 minutes away(Lancaster) or an hour (philly/Allentown) ... now, here we have one in West Reading! I went in with low expectations, my last ramen experience, was at Issei in Lancaster, and I absolutely loved it... then the pandemic hit, stuff got shut down, and well, it's been almost 3 years since I had real deal ramen... so I thought my memories may not live up to actual taste. First of all, you walk in, greeted almost immediately by the hostess, and are taken to your table (minor complaint, we were at one of the two seaters towards the bathroom, ours, and our neighbors' tables rock really badly, probably should invest in something to balance these guys out), and you can check out the menu. We split an app of pork gyoza with dipping sauce, and I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen. The gyoza were very good. These are either handmade, or made to look handmade, either way they are awesome. The pork was seasoned wonderfully, and the fried outer shell was delicious. The dipping sauce was also very very good, and the scallions made the perfect little bite when you got a piece. Ramen came out, the bowls were HUGE and there were a ton of noodles and accompaniments in the bowl. The broth was very flavorful, could have been a little bit hotter, but this was perfect for a warm summer day I didn't need to sweat from lunch too, the pork was fantastic had a really nice taste, almost like it was smoked then fried, amazing. We will definitely be back, and this will be a new regular rotations in our lunch/dinner spots. So glad to have real ramen in West Reading.
My husband loves this place that he goes once a month! We're glad to see vegan/veggie options. Service is great with friendly staff.

Honestly some of the best ramen I've had (and I've had a lot of ramen lol) If you're getting ramen in Reading don't bother going anywhere else; Takkii Ramen is the best! All the toppings were delicious, the noodles and broth were so rich and flavorful, and the serving size was on the slightly larger side! I also had a blueberry green tea with passionfruit boba and it was incredible and not at all bitter which you sometimes get with green tea. Service was great and so kind and attentive and the ambiance is really relaxed and not too loud or crowded. You could tell everyone there was really enjoying their meal and having a great time. :) 10/10 would absolutely come here again! read more

I have eaten here in person a few times before, so this time I decided to try for takeout. The spicy miso ramen is delicious. The service was good and my order was ready in 10 minutes. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant and trendy with the anime art. The ramen is quite expensive, but the portion size is large. The taste and quality of the ramen is great. Will come again. read more

The place is small and beautifully decorated. They were super busy when we went but we still got seated right away. The staff is really nice but some of the food and drinks items in the menu needs a little bit of work-the Mango slush that I ordered was a too watery for my taste and the Karaage chicken that we ordered was a little tough to chew but the Takoyaki, Tempura, and especially the Black Tonkatsu Ramen were delicious. Overall, I recommend this place if you are craving for some Japanese food in West Reading. read more

Absolutely amazing. I've been to a few ramen places but this by far is the best for such a little place, tucked away on a side street in a cute little town. The fruit tea was to die for, the beef had amazing flavor, and the broth was flavourful. Will definitely come here again. read more

I visited Takkii Ramen today with my boyfriend and his mom, and we all loved it! The atmosphere was fun and casual, and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed seeing some of our favorite anime characters and series represented throughout the wall art! The ramen itself was yummy, and the tea was great! I had the mango tea with lychee jelly and enjoyed it. Our waitress was very friendly, too! Definitely a good spot for lunch in Reading! read more

The over all feel and vibe of the place was really really cool, you can see anime characters painted on the walls and it's a cute and cozy little spot, the ramen was honestly good! I got the spicy miso ramen and it was like the perfect amount of spice and creaminess in the broth itself, and the crepe cake just absolutely melts in your mouth omg it was so delicious. 10/10 would recommend. read more
