You know those places where you hunt for pieces of meat, thinking "this can't be all they gave me!"? This ain't it: had pieces of delicious eye of round in almost every bite. Also enjoyed a lavender boba tea. Unexpected and delicious. Seating area is a tad crowded but it's a friendly crowd, happy to pass you condiments or scoot around to let you by. We loved this place for the longest time -- but now, after the pandemic they have really slipped. The broken rice and chicken was always the most amazing dish they served but at a recent visit it was dry and tasteless. They also do not execute well -- there were lots of times they were out of product or it wasn't ready yet (this during normal operating hours) and they tend to close well before the farmer's market closes. I can't believe I haven't rated this place before! This place is a hidden gem in the farmers market in the Fairgrounds Mall in Reading/Muhlenburg. Only open Thursday-Saturday and only during the farmers market hours...come for lunch early because they Usually run out of Pho! Let me start by saying that I've lived in SanFrancisco and travelled a lot in the Pacific Northwest (Vietnamese food hotbed) and have eaten a LOT of pho. I'm not sure that I've ever had better...ever. And this place is here in Reading. The broth is amazing, the fixins (sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeño) are all fresh and the veggies are fresh and plentiful (I usually get the veggie Pho because it's the best ‍). Add a little hot sauce (several options) and it will fill your belly and clear your sinuses at the Same time! The Jasmine tea is great, the Boba tea is outstanding. I've only had this one other time and never reviewed it. I decided to get it again today and again, was not disappointed. I got the Rice Vermicelli Dish with mixed veggies and a Shrimp Roll. Both were delicious. The Vermicelli bowl was packed with veggies (broccoli, carrots, bok choy, mushrooms, and snow peas). And the Shrimp Rolls were huge. Fairgrounds sports very good food and value and the best Vietnamese restaurant in Berks county. The Food is super fresh because they only open Thursday, Friday & Saturday with very authentic flavors. Great focus in the menu and sticking to select dishes always busy. The dinning room is in the farmers market so might not make the best business lunch. Stumbled upon this little gem while venturing through the farmer's market. It's a cute little place that has about 4-5 small tables. Very nice people. I'm a bit picky when it comes to Vietnamese food, letting be growing up with great Vietnamese cooks in the house so comparing Vietnamese food is easy. I've been here a few times and I'm happy I found the place. There's a decent variety of food on the menu. I like their Pho, even though I'm not a big fan of Pho. Talk about a hidden gem in Reading, PA. When I think about Vietnamese food, I definitely don't think of the Farmer's Market. That being said, after seeing the Yelp reviews, I decided to check this place out a few months back.... and now that I realize I never reviewed it on here... it was overdue . I've eaten here a dozen times, and while the choice for appetizers always changes (spring roll, shrimp roll, crab Rangoon, etc), I never steer from the House Special Pho. I'm a Pho addict, and cannot get enough of this stuff. The broth is amazing, the meat is tender and delicious, and the flavors are just perfect. My girlfriend isn't as addicted to Pho as I am, so she chooses different stuff every time, which thankfully I get to try the other things as well. The vermicelli bowls are awesome, the banh mi is insanely good as well. If you're in the mood for pho, and don't mind eating inside a farmer's market (which honestly, is amazing just for people watching), then this is the place to go. I've tried the other local options for Pho, and while they are good, they just don't scratch the same pho itch that Vietnamese Delights does. read more

This is truly one of the best Vietnamese places anywhere around Berks, Lehigh county areas. Several awesome dishes and the Pho is superior to any Vietnamese restaurant around the area. So happy I got the opportunity to try this place. The food was delicious, I ordered the pork roll, shrimp roll and the coconut bubble tea. The only sad part is that they are opened Thurs, Fri and Sat..reason being, they are located within the Fairgrounds Farmers Market. They close an hour before the market closes. This establishment is located in the Fairgrounds Farmers Markets which is unfortunate because the lack of ambiance takes away from the food which is good for its rural the location. The Pho and Vermicelli bowls were very good and generous portions. I had the house special vermicelli bowl and it had a pork roll , shredded pork , and chicken atop a bed of noodles lettuce and basil. The steamed spring rolls were good but overall I expected more house made sauces. The dipping sauce for the rolls was ok I have had much better. I've eaten here quite a few times. I usually get the grilled pork vermicelli. My daughter loves the pho. The flavors of smoothies and bubble teas they have are unmatched in this area. It's located in the fairgrounds farmers market and there isn't much seating so that's about the only bad thing about it. Not five star Pho but very good for the area. The staff closed two minutes before we got their and they were very accommodating with a to-go order! Small seating area inside shopping center but worth going inside to eat. Almost ate somewhere else because there are so many options in this place. The Pho was worth it. Beef broth was beefy but still light. My 15 mo old daughter ate the noodles and drank the juice... The serving style is authentic. The accoutrements fresh and appropriate for good tasting Pho.
