Fresh Summer Roll with Peanut Sauce
    John S.

What started as a small restaurant with hardly any seats has expanded into space next door and it's much easier to get a seat. Had the Fresh Summer Roll and the Pho Shrimp - Phở Tôm Soup. Both very good. A little bit of a drive for me to go here, but worth it.

    Spring rolls came with 3.

Hidden gem in Bethlehem. Went there for pho, which was delicious, will come back to try more menu items. Street/meter parking out front. If you don't want to pay the meter I'm sure you can find parking in the side streets and walk. We're greeted when we walked in and was able to choose where to sit. Good amount of seating option. Service was fast and friendly. Very welcoming. We order pho w/flank. Broth was very good. We also ordered crispy spring rolls. Also very good. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for some good pho.

We were looking for a place in the former steel town of Bethlehem. On a relatively quiet area, we came across the Pho Bowl when looking for the temporarily closed Kinoa. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food which is more Saigon. style. The portions were generous and quality was high. My only gripe regarded the lack of authenticity- the shrimps were peeked and the spring rolls lacked the usual bean sprout and basilkeaf garnish. Furthermore, the Tom Yum sauces was somewhat bland, lacking the usual distinctive lemongrass and citrus flavors likely to please American tastes. They also had popular Thai specialties such as Pad Thai. The service was efficient and the ambience basic but clean. A good c h oice for Bethlehem, especially when away from the major shopping streets.

We really enjoy Pho Bowl for the relaxed atmosphere, kind service, large portion sizes, great value, and most importantly, delicious food! The spring rolls were fresh and crispy. The Pho House Special is a great go-to, and the Bees Noodle Soup Hue Style is great for those looking for a spicier soup.

At Pho Bowl, you're greeted with friendly service and a cozy ambiance. My go to is their beef broths - very rich and flavorful, without the heavy MSG use like other places. The bone broth is what provides the authentic and comforting meal. Pho Bowl is the go-to spot for Vietnamese food for me in the area! Rate: 3.5 Stars!

Bahn mi was on point! Bread was a great combination of soft and firm. Perfect amount of pork and vegetables.

Pleasantly surprised how good this place is! More importantly, the staff were very friendly. I just ordered take out but was treated very hospitably. They even opened the door for me on my way out. It's these small details that make me want to come back again. I almost didn't go here because of one terrible Bahn mi review but remembered that a lot of Yelpers are miserable trolls and have nothing better to do but hate on hard-working entrepreneurs. The food was excellent! I ordered a Tom Yum soup and Summer Rolls. Well-priced and great ambiance. I'm definitely going to be back a lot more.

Papaya salad was very good. Tom Yum soup too spicy for me , even though only one chili indicater; it tasted more like 2 chilis. I requested napa, carrot and scallions, but there were no mushroom or onion slices, which is how it comes. I also had fried basil rice with chicken in it. I forgot already. Red curry with chicken, yellow curry with chicken, beef pho and curry puffs were pretty good. Curry dishes needed salt. Seafood rolls were served very hot. Friend really liked them. Rice vermicelli seasoned with fish sauce was okay. Noodles were cold Best part of rice vermicelli was grilled chicken.

Friendly, fast, fresh & delicious are just a few ways to describe Pho Bowl. We go with the seasons here. Spring/Summer Bun and Spring rolls. Fall/Winter there signature dish - Pho and when they have the Vietnamese Beef Stew.

Simply amazing…read more.. While most people were indulging in Sunday brunch, my girlfriend wanted Chinese food. As we drove, she read the description for U & TEA and we knew we had to go. The place is clean with plenty of room and great lighting -- and the entire establishment is food focused. Our server helped with teas and plates and we placed our orders. My girlfriend got sweet and sour chicken for her main meal. It was obvious the food was fresh and the dish had been cooked in fresh oil (and only for a short amount of time). The sauce was delicate and subtle, which allowed the flavor of the tender chicken to shine through. And what a plate! She ended up having leftovers for two days. Although I normally order seafood, I love duck and have it once or twice a year. From the menu, their duck dishes looked fantastic. Our server recommended the Peking Duck, which I had always wanted to try. That dish brought Alice Gatsch with it. She is kind and engaging and introduced how I should properly eat Peking Duck. She walked be through the steps of how to prepare the buns with scallion, cilantro, and sauce. I wish I could convey how tender the duck was and how crispy the skin had been. It was incredible and I somehow cleared my plate (and didn't eat for the rest of the day). We cannot wait to return. Alice said she'd be happy to walk me through ordering a truly traditional meal and I look forward to that experience. The staff and food are too fantastic to pass up. I highly recommend you make a visit of your own!

My dad loved the steak & tripe pho. I enjoyed the shrimp pho. The side of vegetables to be added to the soup included lime, jalapeño, bean sprouts. There was no basil today. But it was all good! We started the meal with shrimp summer rolls as our appetizer, but ate them too quickly to get a photo taken of them. The peanut dipping sauce was yummy. We parked on the street at a parking meter. This is a nice neighborhood to walk around either before or after your meal. Right next to the theater. We took a peek in the grocery store next-door (owned by the same family) and found bok choy, dragon fruit, lychee, coconut for drinking, and lots of ingredients you would want for doing your own Vietnamese cooking. The restaurant is busy on a Monday night at dinner time. Good sign!

Let me start by saying if you like Vietnamese food, DO NOT EAT HERE. Firstly, the typical fish…read moresauce dipping sauce that comes with the spring rolls was terrible, not sure what it was. The I ordered the same Pho I get everywhere, Fatty Brisket and meatballs. The brisket was gray and there were only a few pieces for the whole thing, I've never gotten such a skimpy order. The bag that comes with it with the bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and limes was the size of a kids snack bag. There was literally 4 pieces of Basil in it. I've never seen such skimpy portions. You'd think it was for a cereal size bowl not a Pho sized bowl. We will not be coming here again.

While the outside may look a bit drab, and heck, the inside as well, the food is pretty good. I used to get a few different dishes from here and most were decent, especially the Chao Long (congee with innards) and Banh Mi Thit Nguoi (Vietnamese Hoagie). The past several years though I've mainly only get the Banh Mi. Mostly because when I'm really in the mood for good Vietnamese food but I don't want to bother mom for those particular dishes I'm craving, I tend to head to Philly to meet up with friends and go out there. Cafe Phuong is usually frequented by mostly the elder Vietnamese men sitting around nursing their slow-drip coffee and shooting the breeze. I tend to call my order in ahead of time and come pick it up - I don't like standing around there too long because too many questions get asked: who are your parents, who do you know, are you dating any good Vietnamese boy, would you like to meet my son/nephew/cousin/friend's kid/boy from good family I've met once before at church/temple/etc... But for the delicious $3 Banh Mi? I'd suffer through those any day. FYI I'm pretty sure it's cash only P.S. Since I automatically revert to Vietnamese when addressing any Vietnamese adults (sounds strange I know since I'm "technically" a Vietnamese adult myself LOL) I actually do not know if they speak English here. But if you can muster up somewhat close to the actual sounds you'll be fine, especially if you've eaten Vietnamese food before.
