    Pho special
    Kevin C.

Visiting Bethlehem and my son was in the mood for some Pho. Found this place very close to our hotel with decent review so decided to come in. It is located in a strip mall and walking in, not a huge place with maybe about 12 ish tables. We were greeted and serviced right away. I ordered the Pho Special for $16 which is the Pho noodle soup with an assortment of beef variety while my son got the Pho Beef for $14. When they brought out the dish, I would say the portion was generous and while I wish the beef was more on the medium rare side, which is really a minor complaint. My wife got the vermicelli with pork and she enjoyed it. For appetizer, we shared order of spring rolls which came in 3. This is not the usual typical spring rolls that you would find in a Vietnamese place and tasted more so just like a Chinese spring roll. For today's visit, I will give this place a strong 3 stars, and would recommend.

This place is my go-to in Allentown. Fast, fresh, and friendly this place has tasty Pho and a simple cool atmosphere. I love coming here when travel for work because I know it's going to be good and it's consistent every time. Also, the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. I'll be back for sure.

We ordered the special pho and grilled pork over rice. The broth is good but they don't give a lot of rice noodles. Overall I wouldn't call the pho phenomenal, it was just alright. The grilled pork had little flavor and was kind of disappointing. For appetizers we got the chicken wings and spring rolls. The chicken wings were so flavorless I couldn't eat more than one and this made me really sad because I love chicken wings. I think they need to toss them in more sauce or something because they were not that enjoyable. The service was okay, they didn't check on us at all after serving the food. The inside is small but fits quite a few tables comfortably. I liked the natural lighting coming in from the windows.

This place is absolutely amazing! I've been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. It's cozy and the staff great. I don't live in the area but whenever I'm nearby this is my go to spot! I'm just not a fan of the chicken wings but overall great.

It was empty but filled by the time we left. The inside is bigger than expected with plenty of tables. Service is excellent. There was only 1 waitress and she got very busy as more ppl came in so I hope more staff joins her for prime dinner time. We ordered pho, bahn mi, and wings. The pho and banh mi were excellent. Very authentic. Pho broth is spot on. Flavorful but not heavily seasoned or sweet. Noodles were perfectly cooked. The only thing missing is tripe! The bahn mi had perfect amount of cold cut to pate ratio and the bread was the right amount of soft/chewy. The wings were tasty too, cooked perfectly and not dry which is rare for wings in an Asian restaurant if you know what I mean. Overall such a great spot. If you're in the area I highly recommend you check pho bowl out!

While the outside may look a bit drab, and heck, the inside as well, the food is pretty good. I used to get a few different dishes from here and most were decent, especially the Chao Long (congee with innards) and Banh Mi Thit Nguoi (Vietnamese Hoagie). The past several years though I've mainly only get the Banh Mi. Mostly because when I'm really in the mood for good Vietnamese food but I don't want to bother mom for those particular dishes I'm craving, I tend to head to Philly to meet up with friends and go out there. Cafe Phuong is usually frequented by mostly the elder Vietnamese men sitting around nursing their slow-drip coffee and shooting the breeze. I tend to call my order in ahead of time and come pick it up - I don't like standing around there too long because too many questions get asked: who are your parents, who do you know, are you dating any good Vietnamese boy, would you like to meet my son/nephew/cousin/friend's kid/boy from good family I've met once before at church/temple/etc... But for the delicious $3 Banh Mi? I'd suffer through those any day. FYI I'm pretty sure it's cash only P.S. Since I automatically revert to Vietnamese when addressing any Vietnamese adults (sounds strange I know since I'm "technically" a Vietnamese adult myself LOL) I actually do not know if they speak English here. But if you can muster up somewhat close to the actual sounds you'll be fine, especially if you've eaten Vietnamese food before.

The place was cozy and pretty decked out in Halloween decorations. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We tried the wings, the spicy edamame, and a bowl of ramen each. Everything was delicious and absolutely hit the spot after a long night in the rain. We enjoyed everything so much that I actually came back the next afternoon for lunch, adding my wife and daughter to the group for the 2nd day of my son's soccer tournament. In addition to all the ramen we also tried the regular edamame, the steamed pork dumplings, and the duck bao. Everything was a hit. My daughter devoured the dumplings and the edamame. Ramen was so flavorful and packed with ingredients. A solid amount of options for the ramen too. Two great experiences in 24 hours. As Dorney season pass holders who live 35 mins away, I could see us heading here after a day at the park now. Totally worth checking out.

Simply amazing…read more.. While most people were indulging in Sunday brunch, my girlfriend wanted Chinese food. As we drove, she read the description for U & TEA and we knew we had to go. The place is clean with plenty of room and great lighting -- and the entire establishment is food focused. Our server helped with teas and plates and we placed our orders. My girlfriend got sweet and sour chicken for her main meal. It was obvious the food was fresh and the dish had been cooked in fresh oil (and only for a short amount of time). The sauce was delicate and subtle, which allowed the flavor of the tender chicken to shine through. And what a plate! She ended up having leftovers for two days. Although I normally order seafood, I love duck and have it once or twice a year. From the menu, their duck dishes looked fantastic. Our server recommended the Peking Duck, which I had always wanted to try. That dish brought Alice Gatsch with it. She is kind and engaging and introduced how I should properly eat Peking Duck. She walked be through the steps of how to prepare the buns with scallion, cilantro, and sauce. I wish I could convey how tender the duck was and how crispy the skin had been. It was incredible and I somehow cleared my plate (and didn't eat for the rest of the day). We cannot wait to return. Alice said she'd be happy to walk me through ordering a truly traditional meal and I look forward to that experience. The staff and food are too fantastic to pass up. I highly recommend you make a visit of your own!
