    Spring rolls. Very good

Good pho but small plastic bowl. It was a good tasting broth and everything was tasty. Just a bit small for me. Will go again! Spring rolls are good too.

Allentown seems to be adapting to the modern world in bits and pieces with old Allentown pushing back against new Allentown with both seemingly coexisting nicely. The Allentown Farmers market inside the grandstands is an old meets new blend that works fantastically offering every from Penn Dutch standards to Asian fare. Think future shock under ground society crossed with a European food hall. Among the variety of offerings is Loan's Vietnamese, a postage stamp of a restaurant that spills into the hallway with it's tables. Mr Loan is a flurry of activity taking orders, waiting tables and keeping the area spic and span. A limited menu, probably guided by the minute kitchen offers classics like Pho and Bahn Mi and one off daily specials . LH and I did a lap in the hall and of course opted for Loan's. Fresh food with quick ish service it was a great choice. I don't know if there's a lot of Vietnamese food in Allentown but if this is it that's fine. So tour the food hall but leave room for Loan's Loan's. You can bank on it. Go!

This is in the Allentown farmers market. I love Vietnamese food and was happy to see this business. I had the Vietnamese crepe with shrimp and pork. It was tasty but at $14.95 I think a bit over priced. My husband had the spring rolls - also tasty but nothing magical.

For Allentown, the pho is good. I'm a bit of a pho snob since I live in Seattle. I'm literally surrounded by 20-30 places to get pho within a 10 min drive. But like I said, good for Allentown. The pho itself was solid. The broth was actually really good and that bumped them up to four stars for me. The rest of the experience is definitely 3 stars. But this was the best place around to introduce my mother to pho. She loved it, fyi. No Asian soup spoons, relatively small bowls, limited accoutrements (basil, sprouts, lime), limited pho options (chicken, aka pho ga, only), limited seating, only open 3 days a week, and a long wait for food after ordering all beckon a three star rating. Their broth and the fact that it's a small family run stand in the farmer's market swayed me to 4 stars. They do serve other Vietnamese dishes besides pho.

What a unique location for PHO. I've had pho in many of the big cities and this pho stand inside a flea/fruit market is one of the BEST i've ever encountered; phenomenal. The broth, the cut of meat/chicken, incredible. INCREDIBLE. Only challenge is they have limited seating, can get busy easily, too bad they couldn't open up a shop in the town. This mall and restaurant were GEMS on a road trip. Pure Gems.

I have been to Vietnam and this reminds me of the fresh food I had in the Dai Lac l area. They were almost sold out of everything on Saturday at 3:30 so come early! I recommend the Bun Bo Xao, but I suspect nothing they serve would disappoint.

It was empty but filled by the time we left. The inside is bigger than expected with plenty of tables. Service is excellent. There was only 1 waitress and she got very busy as more ppl came in so I hope more staff joins her for prime dinner time. We ordered pho, bahn mi, and wings. The pho and banh mi were excellent. Very authentic. Pho broth is spot on. Flavorful but not heavily seasoned or sweet. Noodles were perfectly cooked. The only thing missing is tripe! The bahn mi had perfect amount of cold cut to pate ratio and the bread was the right amount of soft/chewy. The wings were tasty too, cooked perfectly and not dry which is rare for wings in an Asian restaurant if you know what I mean. Overall such a great spot. If you're in the area I highly recommend you check pho bowl out!

While the outside may look a bit drab, and heck, the inside as well, the food is pretty good. I used to get a few different dishes from here and most were decent, especially the Chao Long (congee with innards) and Banh Mi Thit Nguoi (Vietnamese Hoagie). The past several years though I've mainly only get the Banh Mi. Mostly because when I'm really in the mood for good Vietnamese food but I don't want to bother mom for those particular dishes I'm craving, I tend to head to Philly to meet up with friends and go out there. Cafe Phuong is usually frequented by mostly the elder Vietnamese men sitting around nursing their slow-drip coffee and shooting the breeze. I tend to call my order in ahead of time and come pick it up - I don't like standing around there too long because too many questions get asked: who are your parents, who do you know, are you dating any good Vietnamese boy, would you like to meet my son/nephew/cousin/friend's kid/boy from good family I've met once before at church/temple/etc... But for the delicious $3 Banh Mi? I'd suffer through those any day. FYI I'm pretty sure it's cash only P.S. Since I automatically revert to Vietnamese when addressing any Vietnamese adults (sounds strange I know since I'm "technically" a Vietnamese adult myself LOL) I actually do not know if they speak English here. But if you can muster up somewhat close to the actual sounds you'll be fine, especially if you've eaten Vietnamese food before.

We enjoyed everything so much that I actually came back the next afternoon for lunch, adding my wife and daughter to the group for the 2nd day of my son's soccer tournament. In addition to all the ramen we also tried the regular edamame, the steamed pork dumplings, and the duck bao. Everything was a hit. My daughter devoured the dumplings and the edamame. Ramen was so flavorful and packed with ingredients. A solid amount of options for the ramen too. Two great experiences in 24 hours. Simply amazing…read more.. While most people were indulging in Sunday brunch, my girlfriend wanted Chinese food. As we drove, she read the description for U & TEA and we knew we had to go. The place is clean with plenty of room and great lighting -- and the entire establishment is food focused. Our server helped with teas and plates and we placed our orders. My girlfriend got sweet and sour chicken for her main meal. It was obvious the food was fresh and the dish had been cooked in fresh oil (and only for a short amount of time). The sauce was delicate and subtle, which allowed the flavor of the tender chicken to shine through. And what a plate! She ended up having leftovers for two days. Although I normally order seafood, I love duck and have it once or twice a year. From the menu, their duck dishes looked fantastic. Our server recommended the Peking Duck, which I had always wanted to try. That dish brought Alice Gatsch with it. She is kind and engaging and introduced how I should properly eat Peking Duck. She walked be through the steps of how to prepare the buns with scallion, cilantro, and sauce. I wish I could convey how tender the duck was and how crispy the skin had been. It was incredible and I somehow cleared my plate (and didn't eat for the rest of the day). We cannot wait to return. Alice said she'd be happy to walk me through ordering a truly traditional meal and I look forward to that experience. The staff and food are too fantastic to pass up. I highly recommend you make a visit of your own!
