You can taste the fresh ingredients- definitely makes a difference. Great value, get a LOT of food. The general tsos & steamed dumplings are some of our faves! You will not be disappointed & you'll definitely go back. The place is clean & everyone is friendly. 5 stars isn't good enough, I give them a 10!

China Moon serves classic Chinese American restaurant -style dishes. You get as much good Chinese…read morefood here as you do at some of the more upscale Chinese restaurants around Lanc. Co.(like P F Chang) and the quality is at least as good here if not better than those "white tablecloth places". The biggest problem I USED TO have here was ordering. The lady who takes the orders over the phone can be very hard to understand. But here's the fix: Place your order online. That's the only way I've been ordering for a couple of years now. No misunderstandings, plus you choose your pick up time and she'll have your order ready at your chosen time or darn close to it. This is my go to Chinese place in Ephrata. Another good place over on the east side of Ephrata is the Ephrata Asian Bistro (in the Giant shopping center). They're more set up for eat-ins. Their food is quite good, too. You can eat your food "in" at China Moon but it's much less fancy than the Ephrata Asian Bistro. I never eat "in" at China Moon. I figure the poor lady has enough on her hands with telephone orders, packaging everything up and then payments (except for online orders - you pay when you order), that she doesn't need the extra burden of cleaning up tables. I give China Moon 5 stars.

The pork fried rice was some of the best I've had in years! Flavorful and fresh. Moving on, the steamed dumplings and their sauce pair amazingly together and are something to behold. 10/10 would order again. The egg rolls are fantastic and reminiscent of some I had from childhood. Always a plus! The BBQ spare ribs were probably some of the best I've ever had as well. A perfect blend of sweet, smokey and savory. The one and only item I felt was lacking was the lo mein. It left something to be desired as if a crucial ingredient was missing. I couldn't put my finger on it but perhaps it needed a protein to go with it. We will be ordering again!

After seeing Hills to Sea recommended repeatedly in local Facebook groups, we finally decided to…read moregive it a try and now we're wondering why we waited so long. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It feels upscale without being stuffy, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. We started with the crab rangoons and then ordered five sushi rolls: the Creamy & Crispy Roll, Crunchy Crab Roll, Black Dragon Roll, Hawaii Roll, and the Volcano Roll with spicy tuna. Every single roll was fantastic. Not "some were better than others" fantastic. Not "we found a favorite and tolerated the rest" fantastic. We genuinely loved every roll that came to the table. The Volcano Roll with spicy tuna was my personal favorite and an easy 10/10, but honestly there wasn't a single thing we ordered that we wouldn't get again. The presentation deserves its own mention. The rolls were beautifully plated, complete with gorgeous edible flowers and thoughtful garnishes that made everything look almost too pretty to eat. Service was excellent. The food came out surprisingly quickly, but not all at once. Instead, the rolls arrived in small groups, which actually made the experience even better because we could enjoy each one before the next arrived. For two people, five specialty rolls and crab rangoons came to about $80, which is completely reasonable and honestly pretty standard for quality sushi. We will absolutely be back, and we've already started recommending Hills to Sea to friends and family. If you're a sushi lover in Lancaster County, put this place on your list immediately.

It was pretty busy on Saturday when we went for dinner but we didn't have to wait too long and our food actually came out pretty fast. The service was as expected because it looked like 1 guy was serving all tables and he was literally running between table to table. I don't blame him for any waiting because he was busting his butt and we didn't really need to wait too long. We ordered a variety of dishes coming here but my favorite has to be the Homestyle Tofu or the Fish Filet. I would like to try more dishes next time. They give you quite a good amount of food for the price. Some places charge the same and give you much less. This place has authentic Chinese food with some common favorites that many of us also know (chicken with broccoli, lo mein, general tso's etc.) so there is something for everyone. There are vegetarian dishes available as well. If you're in the area and would like more savory, authentic Chinese food I recommend coming here!

Dinner for my party of three which is characteristically occurring either at 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm…read more(pending all three's physical presence together) we dined here on Independence Day 2026. Surprisingly Yi Pin is open and fully operational on a major federal holiday. The air conditioning is rather weak during our dining experience as I felt warm during the Northeast heat wave oppressive humidity continuous week. Condiments issued at the table were aged dark vinegar, green tea but not Matcha was complimentary served. My party only use aged dark vinegar as a condiment for dumplings. We have a predilection for mellow, malty sweetness of dark vinegar rather than the high salt content in soy sauce. Customer service is attentive and staff is fluent in Mandarin and English. Yi Pin is a Chinese restaurant that serves regional cuisine of Shanghainese and Szechuan province. It is what my party of three refer non-Cantonese, Guangdong province 外省人 ngoi6 saang2 jan4 (noun) outside province; foreign person. Ergo, staff does not speak Cantonese - neither rudimentary level. Price is extortionate high, but expected in 2026 stagflation era. I was able to obtain the sales receipt as keepsake. Asian melon hard candy is distributed with the bill upon meal completion which is industry standard for Asian restaurants and cafes. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. There is one large beautiful Japanese beckoning cat, (maneki-neko) which adjacent to the cash register. Business cards are available for grabs. There is a customer parking lot available. Beef noodle soup $15.95 The soup broth bubbles are very visible for the high level of cholesterol and fat content. I believe the cook or kitchen staff used and implemented MSG. This was a big setback leading to disappointment for my three Yelp stars. La mian wheat based noodles were embedded and sufficient. I enjoyed the La mian wheat noodles. Lo Mein chicken $12.95 It was stirred fried and abundant for excessive quantity. I did not consume any - neither one bite. It seemingly appeared very high grease and fat content for excessive oil. Shanghainese soup dumplings 6 pieces, $10.95 Pork steam soup dumplings siu2 lung4 baau1, 小籠包 tasted average, but not exuberant great to awaken my soul for sprightly liveliness. There were very minimal soup liquid inside the dumpling upon biting. I did ponder with hope and wonder during our wait for our food order arrival that these soup dumplings would be bursting with excessive soup liquid and flavor. It was not served piping hot as I am accustomed in NYC Shanghainese restaurant industry standards. These dumplings prepared by the cook(s) or kitchen staff at Yi Pin are egregiously appalling and insult to New York Chinese. I refused to apologize for being a native New Yorker. The dumpling skin tip where placing the serving tongs also tasted hard. Also another reason for my three Yelp stars.
