Teriyaki Chicken Lunch Combo
Andrea G.

Yum yum! As said in another review, this is the best Chinese spot in Reading. Due to COVID, no one can enter their restaurant. They have the 2nd set of doors that lead into their dining area blocked off. Also, you must order online or call in your order. We normally get the Honey Chicken because it is so crispy! Nice switch up from the Sesame Chicken. Today I ordered the Honey Chicken Lunch Combo ($7.95), Teriyaki Chicken Lunch Combo ($7.95) & the Pepper Steak Lunch Combo ($7.95). All lunch combos come with an egg roll & pork fried rice. I don't like pork fried rice so I asked for white rice. It was a breeze to order online and choose everything. The only option for payment is to pay in-store, which was fine by me. The portion sizes for the lunch combo are great! I was able to sample all 3 items and still have a lot left over. The Egg Rolls are always nice and crispy and flavorful. And huge! Honey Chicken: Delicious! Definitely a must-try. Sometimes they do make it too sweet and other times overdone but if you check your food before you leave you can make sure it's done just right. Love that it has so much flavor with out needing any sauce. & love the crispy skin. Teriyaki Chicken: Nice surprise! I will order again. Reminds me of bourbon chicken a little. Loved the veggies that come with it and the flavor of the chicken wasn't too much. The chicken was juicy too, not over cooked. Pepper Steak: first time trying this dish but won't be the last! This was fantastic. The flavor was similar to a beef and broccoli but had other veggies to accompany it. I will definitely order again. Overall satisfied with all the dishes I have tried from here. Only thing I'd recommend is to NOT get the Shrimp and Broccoli. The shrimp are very small and not much sauce. Also comes with a white sauce, which I'm not used to (normally has a brown sauce.) I can't wait to try the sushi, which I've heard so much about!

Sushi for one please

BEST SUSHI in berks county (well wyomissing area) .. i've tried most all sushi restaurants and this one is by far the best!! The inside of the building is actually really appealing too if you wanted to dine-in.

Definitely the freshest Asian food I've had. Red Bean ice cream was very refreshing. Great service.. The staff was very accommodating... Fried rice and steamed dumplings were good but cold.

Dragon Roll Combo - Red Dragon, Green Dragon, and Black Dragon roll. I like rolls. Especially ones made of dragons.

When I used to live in Wyomissing, Zhuang's Garden was, without a doubt, my go-to sushi joint. Most of my friends opted for the more "trendy" spots in town, but there was just something about Zhuang's and its muted, humdrum outward appearance on Penn Avenue that gave it a certain quaint charm. Once inside, you'll be greeted with a smiling, Asian woman and a large, eccentric fountain. This fountain replaces a giant fish tank (although the fish still remain in the pool of the fountain). Sushi-wise, this place has your standard selection of sashimi and nigiri, as well as a roster of a whopping THIRTY special rolls. In addition to the raw offerings, there is a full Chinese, Japanese, and Thai menu. Basically, if you have a hankering for Asian food, this is your one-stop shop. Service can be spotty at times, but the staff is friendly and polite. And of course, the real selling point of this place is the quality of food. If you want fresh and full of flavor (or FaFoF, an awkward acronym I just made up), then Zhuang's will not disappoint.

The food is good. It was not mushy and had no aftertaste. I would definitely order here again.

Sushi always amazing, been around and can say this is the best in berks county. Buffet is also a great deal if you're hungry.

We enjoyed our dinner. Sushi was good and both dinner combos were enjoyable. We will return to dine again.

Whenever a new hibachi restaurant opens up in town, it creates quite a stir. For years we only had…read moreour choice of Tokyo Hibachi & Bar or Mikura to get the full hibachi experience (shrimp flyin', saké chuggin', onion ring volcano shootin' fire into the air, which can be felt on the faces of people sitting across the room). But when Masa arrived, it changed the whole town's dynamic. MIkura was basically banished into the nether realm. Their hibachi tables are way too cramped. If your two favorite things are the wise-cracking, egg-balancing-on-the-spatula, cheery on the outside but everyone knows is depressed on the inside hibachi chef and claustrophobia, then this place is for you. Tokyo has been the king for the longest time, but Masa is a true powerhouse in its own right. It's fairly obvious the scales are tipping in Masa's favor these days, for if you were to ask an acquaintance about where they'd like to go for your pre-arranged sushi lunch that you had planned for weeks and miraculously neither of you bailed, nearly every time that person would say Masa. Speaking of lunch, the specials here are what keep me coming back. Three rolls for $13, hibachi combos (i.e. chicken, veggies, fried rice, soup) also for $13, and their Lunch Wok & Grill Platters (protein, Cali roll, dumpling, rice, and soup) for $12. Bonkers. There are still good deals out there, just gotta know where to look. The hibachi experience is top notch. Here you get a proper amount of space, heck, you might even go as far to say an abundance. And that's how it should be. Lots of room, not cramped up next to the other tables, where you get splattered from their oil and feel the burn from their onion volcanos. Must say, I quite dig this place. For the life of me I can't think of a single thing I dislike. Bravo, Masa, you are now the king of hibachi in Reading, PA.

It's expensive compared to other hibachi restaurants, no reason to throw zucchini pieces at me instead of shrimp. Now it's soup or salad instead of both. Service was good and place is pretty clean. I'll be honest, I didn't know much about this place going in, but I'm really glad I went and I'll definitely be back. Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is a beautiful, large fish tank built right into the wall on your right. The restaurant is dim and upscale-feeling, but still very family-friendly and not loud or overstimulating, so you can actually have a conversation. They have both booths and tables, and the space is very open and spread out. As a parent, you can even strategically seat your family in view of the fish tank or the windows to give the kids something to look at. It's great for a casual family dinner, a date night, or even a birthday celebration. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with no ramps, you can roll right in to your table. It's located in a plaza but set apart, so parking was never an issue. Plenty of spots, including handicap parking up front with just a short walk to the entrance. They have a solid variety on the menu including alligator bites, burgers, pasta, salads, and more. It is on the higher end price wise. Most entrees start around $14 and up, and even the kids meals begin at $8.90. The cocktail menu is extensive and the dessert menu is worth a look too. They also have a lunch menu where prices vary a bit more favorably. I ordered the Coastal Cheddar cheeseburger burger with no tomatoes and it was excellent. Very fresh, well seasoned, and served with shoestring fries that were equally on point. They also bring out a ciabatta loaf with butter to start, which was a really nice touch. Food came out quickly (always a plus). The staff is genuinely incredible. There's a tag team mentality where anyone on the floor can help you, refill your drink, or check on your table. My server was very attentive, and even when they got busy someone always stepped in. No reservations needed, at least when I went which was on a Sunday around 1pm. Highly recommend!

It was creamy and deliciously balanced. The clam chowder tasted like "old soup" as per my daughter's review. It was OK, but did taste like it was canned and therefore we didn't eat more than a few spoonfuls of it. (The crab and lobster soups were gone.) We both thoroughly enjoyed the gator bites. They were well prepared and very tender. My daughter enjoyed stated that she was surprised it reminded her more of chicken than what she had expected. The dipping sauce added a nice touch and was not too peppery or spicy. It was well balanced. The seafood gnocchi was filling and flavorful. My daughter enjoyed it and had enough leftover for another meal the next day. I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster roll and ate the whole thing. There was an abundance of fries, which I did not eat. They were good, but did have a bit more of a greasiness than I prefer. The drinks were typical Coke products, which wait staff were attentive to keeping filled. The ambiance is a great place for a casual quality meal with family, friends, work colleagues, or a date. The salt water tank in the "lobby" is always nice to look at. The place is always clean and well maintained. The booths are spacious and you can talk comfortably without being crowded by other patrons. I love this place because the food is always good and the atmosphere is calming with the dim lighting.
